Baseball Hall of Fame Autographs
United States
Приєднався 14 гру 2020
This is a channel all about the joys and pains of collecting current and future baseball hall of fame autographs. From the first inductees like Cobb, Ruth and Mantle to current inductee Jeter and future inductees Trout and Pujols.
We will also cover other sports autographs and memorabilia, like basketball, football and maybe even golf, but not non-signed sports cards. There are enough channels about that.
I got my first (future) Hall of Famer, Jack Morris at a local show in 1983. Today, I have received an autograph of every living Hall of Famer, in person. This has involved flying around the country, attending a lot of National Conventions (nearly 20) and baseball games. I have seen a major league baseball game in nearly 50 different stadiums in over 4 countries and 3 continents. Once I had all the living, I started going for them all.
My impossible goal-to obtain an autograph of every Baseball Hall of Famer.
About Me-
I am a father of two and CPA in Metro Detroit .

I did see that REA Hamilton with Bender and Young and did not bid or pay attention. What a idiot that was a steal. Do you know what auction house sold it again for 10,000. Thanks Jim
Thank you. Really enjoyed this and very informative. Have one I’d like your thoughts on.
Very cool! I will never own his autograph but I always enjoy the history and what to look for in the autographs.
Great video, as always. I have Mr. Kaline on a Topps certified card.
So awesome you had a great time with your son! The ripken baseball couldn't have turned out any better ⚾
Your daughter kills it every time!!
Congratulations to Mr. Helton. Just need him on a baseball myself! Thanks for sharing as always Frank!
Love your stories. Thank you for sharing.
I got Todd Helton many times at Coors Field early 2000s.Usually,it was before games,he came over often but it was just th because there were many people. I caught him walking into the stadium or a day with less than 10 people. Then he signed a full autograph. He was always a 1 per signer even if alone with him. He was an easy autograph to obtain at Coors Field, just hope you could get the more full autograph!
A guy I still need on a baseball. Thanks for sharing Frank, I had never seen the rookie era auto of his!
I have never been trolled so much as waiting for the George Kell video to drop. If it is a bandwidth issue, I can step in as a “guest host” for that one. My creds include: having owned ~100 George Kell autos; observed him sign multiple times, including standing/walking and seated, still know his home addy for TTM (although this post would get deleted by UA-cam if I typed it), and I know his middle name. Additionally, the review video I created last summer for our new golf cart got more than 8,900 views (Altitude Capitalist - 2023 Evolution Forester 4 Plus review), so I probably cannot make the Kell video go viral, but can probably get a lot of eyeballs. But please, if you don’t take me up on this get the Kell video posted ASAP - no more distractions!!
@@benjaminlyng8269 if you want to do a kell video, go for it. I will link it. I am busy with work and have shot already 3 videos this week. Plus I doubt my analysis will meet your expectations.
😂
@@baseballHOFautographs It is finished!! I published it on my Altitude capitalist channel. I think if I linked it here youtube would automatically delete this message. Let me know if I need to send to you but it is a huge file. But 12 minuets on GEORGE KELL - can you believe it??!! And a serious George Kell controversy at the end for people who can hang on for the full 12 mins.
@@baseballHOFautographs are you up to your eyes in K-1 prep like my accountants? Shall I send it to you in a Google drive folder. It is up on my Altitude Capitalist channel last week. Let’s get George Kell trending on UA-cam
Amazing pickups and nice stories.
Can you be my tax person? 😅
I have a really cool Luke Easter single signed baseball. He’s in the international hall of fame.
Yes, but I don't think he is Cooperstown worthy.
Transplant to the Denver ex-burbs here. He did have some issues post playing days - drunk driving related stuff. He is still loved in Colorado and remembered for a famous picture of him winning the NL pennant at first base.
I remember all that.He stayed, really didn't have problems, until the back injury, was cranking them out regurally!
Agree with you as I watched his whole career as a season ticket holder. I have a gorgeous auto on the 1998 All Star ball he signed just after he hit for the cycle.probably around 2000. He was signing free at a Verizon store and he really took his time signing when I told him I watched him hit the cycle
Very neat story, yeah his autograph has unfortunatly degraded.
That is so cool,I saw him alot early 2000s,a generous signer, usually th but once in awhile a full autograph!
Never heard of this guy before he made the Hall but definitely a HOF worthy player with 3000+ hits. Glad to see a good one elected for a change.
worried on your comments when I get do Helton.
Need Beltre on my 3000 hit bat but I struggle investing money in guys who can't write a legible signature. I'm undecided on Beltre. Good to see your videos again! Keep up the good work!
Thanks, been traveling, videos are coming back slow and steady.
Gorgeous Cal
It was awesome to finally meet you in person Frank!
Does anyone know the economics of these massive autograph signing events. Are players paid a flat fee for their time? Do players set the prices and get a piece of the action? Who decides a guy gets more for affording his auto to one type of item compared to another? How does this work!
@@benjaminlyng8269 each person is different, but usually is they get paid a flat fee plus a piece of sales
I saw the prices for Cal it is astronomical - really all of these prices were sky high. Was there a line of people paying that kind of $ for Ripken? What was demand like at these prices? And there was a strange note for cal that he would not pose for a picture with you. Did not see that note with the others. His middle name is Edwin.
@@benjaminlyng8269 yes, line was long and heard he had to leave at a strict time and could not sign for everyone that had tickets.
What a great ball! I remember the days there were a great many autograph dealers at the National. I think it is interesting how many autographed cards are now being sold by the dealers with such high prices especially rookie cards of HOFamers.
@@larrygitlin6017 yes, I remember those days also. I come to the national every year partially to see them, but know they are never returning.
is this one real ??
@@HazeNCookies-BabyDuck did you email me at frankr@schreiber.cpa
The Rice definitely looks unusual but I've seen that Red Ruffing style "R" on some low value items and HOF weekend balls as well. I did a deep dive on the sig and went pretty much year by year.
@@peterchoe I learned nearly all current players have odd signatures, that said, if I were an Authenticator (I’m not) I would t pass it.
I’ve watched this multiple times as I’ve been reworking my man cave and each time I see something new!
I just used this video to buy a Carew in 2024. Thank you for all these videos!
of course!
Thanks Frank, I had no idea he was that rare, and that he died that young.
@@jyosuckas6720 yes, VERY tough
Imma young collector 17 almost 18 but im wondering what do you do to afford this?
💯
👍💯
What beautiful penmanship, so cool
Great video. He had gorgeous handwriting.
What beautiful autograph
I highly recommend the book "Hit Em Where They Ain`t" to anyone interested in Keeler, McGraw, Hughie Jennings, Wilbert Robinson, and the 1890s Baltimore Orioles. The modern game was formed by that team.
Well done 👍
Thank you for the great videos. I used to collect HoF autographs in the '70s. It's a great hobby.
How do I get into the out or safe group? Is it private?
@@josedomingues23 it’s a Facebook group, search them and follow the rules. They are excellent
@@baseballHOFautographs hey thank you for the response yeah when I search them it doesn't come up at all
Awesome that you have a Tim Keefe autograph.
Great stuff Frank. Really appreciate the story for context. Thanks for sharing
@@mikepalena3900 thanks, saved over 20%!
What an incredible Autograph you own. I also remember when these items were found and the big deal. I did follow the auctions though I did not bid. I thought they had even more documents not always signed they sold of the find. Anyway neat to know someone who won a Tim Keefe!
@@larrygitlin6017 correct, they had none signed documents related to the building of the polo grounds.
Crazy cool that you have a Keefe! Enjoyed you examining his auto and the sold auctions of it. Thanks for sharing Frank!
@@LegendsNeverDieCollection these are the easier ones.
Pretty cool that Darren Rovell called you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Say Hey Kid and the Baby Bull!
Great video Frank, glad you were able to get your auto from ML.
@@thedetroitcollector enjoy your auction reports!
@@baseballHOFautographs thanks Frank!
Another great analysis, especially the background on the players' league. Doubt I'll ever get a Keefe auto but I thought the same about Gabby Hartnett a week ago! You mentioned Barry Halper; I've got a ball with his autograph. That was a fun and difficult one to ID!
@@mrechannel2023 now go play catch with it
Well done 👍
I had never of the grumpy Uncle Al thing, interesting.
Cool video!
Really really cool that you got to go Frank- and that ticket is epic!!!
Skipped this video when it dropped, figured I'd never need it. Picked up a 1946 Buffalo Bisons team-signed ball yesterday at a flea market for $10. Was in a crate with loose junk wax cards and 1991 UD packs he wanted $3 each for. Gabby Hartnett (manager) auto next to the International League logo. Looks good! Thanks Frank, always helpful.
