    Nice tutorial. Just out of curiosity, what are you computer specs? Your scene looks insanely high quality and realistic even before the few lighting tricks are added in. I'm interested in knowing if there's any other kind of add-on/trick used to get that look or if its simply just good textures and a good pc to render high res shots like that.

    6:03 light turned dark because your light source was inside of a glass of a ceiling lamp object. You can also get it working again _(without need to move the light source lower)_ by mixing transparent shader with the glass material of ceiling lamp and use "Light Path is Shadow Ray" as its Factor value.

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  2 роки тому +1

      No need for that since we linked it to the sky and We can fix its position, intensity and size from the world light. I also didn't have a default light in the scene so the sun we added have a strength of 1 as default value.

    This did NOT work at all for me. I get a washed out look when I add sky texture and the sun light is completely voided out. I watched this three times over and did exactly as instructed.
    EDIT: Okay I discovered what was wrong. My model is within a Sphere. This method doesn't work with a sphere. I had to delete the sphere altogether and I still needed to put the "strength" down to .06 to get a decent lighting. I don't really get good definitive sunlight rays but the lighting is fairly decent.

    I have an scene with a small room with 5 windows, when i remove the glass you can see the sun hitting the floor making an square like spot and the scene is also
    illuminated (maybe a little dark because the windows are small) but when you add the glass almost no light comes trough and i dont know what to do. The glass is more an mirror than actual glass for an window

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  2 роки тому +2

      It appear that your issue is with the glass material, so maybe you're using a raw glass node as an input or a BSDF and that's wrong. Try mixing the glass with a transparent BSDF node and make the factor with a light path shadow rays to make the glass transparent to the sun but showing the reflection from the camera view. We did make a video about Interior Glass node so watch it, it might add something to your knowledge.
      Hope it help

    Tell me, why do you add sun when you have it in NISHITA?

    • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  2 роки тому +1

      Because it's not enough, why that? light bounces isn't the same in 3D as in real life, and with less light you get more noise, also the sky texture won't give you the vibe with the light rays dropping on your furniture. • @architecturetopics
      @architecturetopics  Рік тому +1

      So let's check couple of things :
      - Try to hide any glass, windows or curtains and just see if any thing change ( might be a material blocking your light).
      - once you assign both the Sun and sky in the add-on, stay on solid mode and make sure the sun line is directed on the window's side by changing the numbers in the add-on ( attitude, longitude and Time Zone).
      - You can open a new scene and with the default cube just make an opening and try the add-on along the Nishita sky and sun to see how it lit the room.
      -If you think the room should have more light inside you can hide the wall behind the camera while you rendering still shots ( this can add more sky blue color into the scene)
      Hope this helps.
