I was wondering if you could recommend any specific devices or tools that might be useful for neck hump correction? I’d love to know if there’s anything in particular you’ve found effective.
Thank you! I always had a tiny bit of a neck hump and always had a lazy slouchy body language., But I was always very slim so it didn't matter. During quarantine I've gained a bit of wait and my hump has been very accentuated and I feel so ugly I don't leave my home and the first place I look at anyone on TV is back of their neck and my heart sinks everytime because they all have nice straight necks. I'm going do he doing the regime twice a day for the rest of my life if I have too. The little I have done so far has.made a difference in my head placement and spirits. Thank you.
Man I can’t even say how much you have helped me😭. Just wanted to say thank you for actually guiding me to get rid of the hump and how essential it is to have a perfect posture👏
I did the exercises with you, paused the video and I can tell you the stretches were amazing. I had no idea how much my neck and chest needed stretching. People may think I'm exaggerating, but I can seriously feel a difference. My head is being held higher and straighter. Do you have any exercises for what is called a sway back? I've had this since I was a little girl.
Hey Linda i have same problem since childhood i had wrong posture due to dis im suffering now at 23 .. my whole back aches i need to correct my posture .. plz suggest me some good exercises that are working for you
@@Sakshi-or8sl Hi Sakshi, I'd recommend Train with Basia, she has a full free online posture correcting program, just give her a google. My posture and neck hump is very bad and at 54 it's ridiculous. I'm ashamed of my laziness. I have horrible headaches almost weekly. I am active but not in shape actually I am overweight. I work with children and my focus is always looking down. When I'm not with the kids I will admit I am looking down at my phone. I am limiting my phone time now to 30 minites a day and I am dedicated to your exercises and I am going to take pictures of my before and after results at the 3 month mark and also will let you and your audience know if my headaches are fewer and far between. I feel the most confident in you and what you teach and I am excited to make a change in my life. I do have a couple questions though. If a person is looking at cell phone, what would be the correct position in which to hold it? Also would a posture device help in aiding your therapy ? I think I lose focus and 96% of the day my posture is bad.

Hello! How many times a day do you recommend these? I know that it all depends on severity, but for a case that is only starting to show the hump, how long does it take to see any results? Additionally, any recommendations on how to keep a good posture while driving? I can do my best while I am sitting on a regular chair or walking, but driving always messes me up. Thanks!
A posture support band helps as well, I started to notice rounded shoulders months after having my baby and I think it’s due to all those sleepless nights putting him to bed i was always slouched. Definitely recommend it relieved a lot of pain
I’ve had this my entire life from looking down at my phone and big breast. I lost 57 pounds and my hump is still very apparent. I can’t wait to start these!
@@al3xiskingst0n I have a lot more confidence now! I actually had my bf take a pic of my neck on our walk yesterday because I felt odd having the back of it out… I do believe I’ll always look slightly humpy because my spine is not exactly straight, I only tried this a couple of times so I can’t say for sure if it helped. I’m down 76 pounds now so I think losing the 20 pounds helped, the extra fat there definitely exaggerated the hump.
Push-ups on a regular basis and then simple lat stretches 2-3 times a day (by clasping your hands behind your back and pulling your upper back up and together for 10-20 seconds at a time) will do most of everything here.

I came to the comments to ask this question. Thank you. I do have another question. If I use light hand weights while I’m laying on the foam roller is that ok? Would it help to strengthen the muscles in the shoulders and back? I work on the computer all day so I’m developing a hump and some tension and pain in that area. Not to mention its not a good look to have a hump on my back. 🤷🏼♀️
My hairdresser told me recently that she'll never let me cut my hair short because it would reveal the ugliness of my neck hump. I really hope I can eliminate this.

Hello out there! What do you think about the "W I L T Y" stretches with the resistance band? These are the formations of the English letters with our arms as we stretch. For example, the "face pull" mentioned by Jared will be the "W" stretch. Likewise, the "I" will be done by holding the band handles, fist down and touching each other and raising the arms from bottom to top feeling the stretch. "L" will be raising 1 arm up and the other horizontally in a 90 degree angle and switching sides. "T" will pulling both arms on the sides stretching your chest and "Y" will be raising your arms up in a Y formation. Leave your thoughts below!

After having my baby I got this . I think it’s because When i would feed him , curl up with him I’m always looking down at him . Question what about when you sleep ?I sleep in a ball with my head tucked down . Can that add more time to seeing results?
Can you do the last technique longer on the foam roller? Compared to the amount of time I can notice Im hunching forward, it feels like doing it for only 1 minute throughout the day, it will take forever to see results? What say you? If I have all the time in the world, how long would you recommend? I also notice when Im reading a book, yep Im hunched forward neck forward. Watching tv I notice Im hunched forward neck forward. Any tips or vids on how to read books without hunching? I have tried holding up the book so the eye line isnt looking down at a book in my lap, but it hurts the arms holding it. Or watching tv the same? Holding correct posture as you watch movies. Proper ways to sit so you dont revert back to your old holding patterns. Its taken over modern lives. Were domesticated human animals hunched forward on our phones, looking at tv. lol
I’m praying this helps , I was in a bad car accident where my car flipped 4 times and I was ejected from the vehicle , I suffered thoracic compression fractures and wore a neck / back brace for 6 weeks and I was left with a camels hump, and I’m so embarrassed by it
Those chin tucks were TIGHT! Who’d have ever thought you could actually feel that much tension from the base of your skull. Now that I know how to fix this I’ll def continue these exercises!
I am going to start this and report back. I spent five of the past seven years nursing and I believe that is why I have this knot/small hump at the bottom of my neck. I watched this video yesterday and started immediately. I noticed later on the evening just how much my head is leaning down and over. Hopefully this help.s
My mom and I have this neck hump, so I thought it was hereditary. I'll be following these exercises as well as your posture videos to help correct my alignment and strengthen muscles. Thank you so much for explaining the spine in the beginning also. I like to know why something happens; very good insight.
I would argue the best way to stretch your chest is from at least an aggressive standpoint is doing so with a suspension trainer or gymnastic rings I learned that from physical therapist and if your doctors or physical therapist think that's okay then that's what I've always found is a much deeper stretch
Hi Jared! I have one of these awful neck humps, so I’m going to do your exercises and your posture exercises to try and regain good posture. However, so many of the things I do during the day are looking down. When I do dishes, I’m staring down at the sink for an hour. (No dishwasher.) When I do laundry, it’s not at eye level, everything is down, including folding the clothes. Even reading a book, I don’t lift my arms and hold it in front of my face so my head is up, I hold it at a comfortable angle, but then I’m looking down. How do I lose this neck hump if all these things I’m doing during the day are causing me to be looking down? It’s not *just* the phone or computer… thanks so much for your help!
I’ve watched so many videos about this but I don’t feel motivated to actually do the things mentioned, but with this video I feel these seem so doable and I actually feel I can easily do these and include them in my gym routine. 😃
I have been trying exercises for my forward neck posture. For little over one month, I have been doing from your videos neck stretches two times every day and eight neck exercises every alternate day. I am feeling little better, but when I lie down the neck goes backwards like you are looking above or little back above. Please suggest any don't s from the exercises I am doing or any additional exercise..
Great videos! What is a good height for the anchor point on the resistance bands? In this video it looks like you may have them secured at about waist height.

Thank you. You did a miracle for me 😊
You're welcome 😊
I'm a 45yr old empty nester and I didn't realize how much I neglected myself all these yrs but it's hitting me now. Thank you for this. Remember ppl, balance in everything. I didn't give myself enough time because I didn't balance it out. You're still a mom if you alot time for yourself daily or weekly. ❣️
This is a fantastic video! Just subbed
im going to do this, im pretty insecure about my neck hump and i wanna get rid of it fast.
Does it work?
Update?
Thank you very much, it’s a very helpful video. PS you have a beautiful smile ❤
Thank you so much!
After having my baby I got this . I think it’s because When i would feed him , curl up with him I’m always looking down at him . Question what about when you sleep ?I sleep in a ball with my head tucked down . Can that add more time to seeing results?
Pretty sure it will. I developed this problem because of sleeping with my head tucked down :(
sleep on the floor
Thanks a lot for the great video and for the great and amazing exercises. 😊😊👍👍👍👍
My pleasure, Tiera Baz! I hope they help you out!
Were domesticated human animals hunched forward on our phones, looking at tv. lol
I’m praying this helps , I was in a bad car accident where my car flipped 4 times and I was ejected from the vehicle , I suffered thoracic compression fractures and wore a neck / back brace for 6 weeks and I was left with a camels hump, and I’m so embarrassed by it
Oh wow, I am so sorry to hear that! I hope you recover quickly!
Excellent video! Im setting reminders on my phone to do these regularly. Thank you for this.
Awesome! You're on the right track already!! That's wonderful!
Great video as always! Thanks
My pleasure!
Those chin tucks were TIGHT! Who’d have ever thought you could actually feel that much tension from the base of your skull. Now that I know how to fix this I’ll def continue these exercises!
They are such a good exercise, K B! I hope you are finding them helpful!
This was amazing!!
I am so glad to hear that, Dakota! Thanks for commenting!
I am going to start this and report back. I spent five of the past seven years nursing and I believe that is why I have this knot/small hump at the bottom of my neck. I watched this video yesterday and started immediately. I noticed later on the evening just how much my head is leaning down and over. Hopefully this help.s
I have this and started wanting to get rid of this. How long would it take to see improvements to this?
Do these consistently and you may notice an improvement in 6-8 weeks.
My mom and I have this neck hump, so I thought it was hereditary. I'll be following these exercises as well as your posture videos to help correct my alignment and strengthen muscles. Thank you so much for explaining the spine in the beginning also. I like to know why something happens; very good insight.
You are welcome! I hope these exercises help you out and thanks for commenting!
It ain’t hereditary, it was you copying your mom’s habits.
Any results??
How’s it working out?
I have this problem I will be doing this faithfully
Ty. Nice info
Thank you so much. I saved this, and plan to do these exercises often ❗
You're very welcome, Diann Hall! I hope these things help you, and thanks so much for commenting!
Did it work
Hey, did the exercise work?
When some saves a video for later you can bet they didnt return to the video lol
I would argue the best way to stretch your chest is from at least an aggressive standpoint is doing so with a suspension trainer or gymnastic rings I learned that from physical therapist and if your doctors or physical therapist think that's okay then that's what I've always found is a much deeper stretch
I've been struggling for years with this problem. I will try these methods and see how it goes. Thank you for the video!
What happened did it work?

There are glasses you can buy to be able to look forward laying down! You can also fold clothes on your table
So helpful. Thank you!
You're so welcome! I am glad to hear it was helpful and thank you for sharing.
"don't do this on your bed"
Me, who doing this on their bed: damn it!

I hope you find these helpful and thanks for commenting!
A buffalo hump can also be caused by a hormonal imbalance. See an endocrinologist if you have one that doesn’t seem to go away with diet and exercise
Fantastic point, Alan! Thanks so much for sharing your input!
Is it normal to experience neck pain when sitting in the correct position?
WoW!

@@raulgomez457 Hey it’s gone down but what’s helped me is just losing weight
Thx alot dude..I really like ur video
You are very welcome, Tyson! I hope these exercises are helpful for you!
Did it fix the hump?
Thanks
Great videos! What is a good height for the anchor point on the resistance bands? In this video it looks like you may have them secured at about waist height.
About chest level for the rows; about shoulder height for the face pulls. Hope they help, Tom! Thanks for watching!
Lmao he dissed me lowkey in this video haha “buffalo hump” “we’ve seen those individuals lmao”
Hi Dr Jared,
