Love your reaction especially when Tim hit his lowwwww note! ♥
In 1973 Ian Matthews released 7 Bridges Road on his album Valley Hi. The Eagles did a cover of the song. It was written by Steve Young, he released it in 1972 on his album by the same name.
Great reaction! Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. Hoping you will soon get back to more of their work. May I suggest "Helplessly Hoping" and/or "Amazed"
It's actually a cover by the Eagles, Steve Young wrote and performed it. 🌹
Also try Helplessly Hoping.
That was a fun song
Can’t miss with Home Free! The harmonies on this are fantastic!
Goosebumps, there sound the tone, has just jumped in side me and taken over it just gets better and better as they sing. (10) Lol Thank you Maunalee wow wow wow❤❤❤🥰🥰🥰🥰
Glad you were worried for nothing. I don't think they have a bad song. Some are just better than others. "In the Blood", "How great thou art", "Southern fried medley", "Mayday" are all very good. Thanks for checking back on them.
Can't Outrun You is so subtly awesome as well! I second and third "How Great Thou Art! It brings many to 😢 tears.
If you haven't already, you should check out their their collaboration with Lee Greenwood and the US Air Force "Singing Sergeants" of "God Bless the USA".
They did a really nice job with this Eagles classic. I love watching the old liver videos of this one. The crowd goes wild when they start singing it. It's a ton of fun to watch. Thanks! ^_^
tbf the Eagles version is a cover as well. it's just a damned good song
Their 'It's all about the Bass" is hilarious and classic.
gotta admit, this is growing on me
The Butts Medley is not to be missed.
This is actually a song that has been covered several times because the original song was written by Steve Young back 1969 for his solo album and then was performed by Ian Mathews in 1973, and again when Young joined Crosby, Stills, and Nash in 1973, and then by the Eagles in 1980, which is probably the most popular cover to date.
I love these guys.
Aahhhh, Minneapolis. Nuthin’ like seeing the old hometown from the good ole days, you know, before the killing, burning and looting.
If you really want to be blown away, check out a little cover band out of Georgia called Foxes and Fossils doing this song, you'll be absolutely amazed
Would love to see you reaction to Home Free Do You Hear What I Hear, is it too early for Christmas? But it’s a really original arrangement.
Totally agree!
I see your Sound of Silence in the background. PLEASE react to Tim Faust and Peter Hollins cover of that song. Its AWESOME!
Disturbed's version is 2nd to none. Paul Simon even said its now Disturbed's song!!
❤ from a Home Fry!! Please react to more of Home Free!
Yup, Eagles cover. And well done. Roll your 8-ball down the mountain and let it lie. The Eagles are probably proud of this cover.
You should react to Mayday, Everybody Walkin This Land, and Ring of Fire ft. Avi Kaplan
they sounded great.
Who is the name of the bass guy. He is my favorite. The beatboxer is also amazing. Hell, the entire band is fantastic!
Adam Rupp.
Home Free, simply the best
If like the bass singer check out Peter foust and Tim Holland's Misty mountain
Checkout 'in hell I'll be in good company' by The Dead South.
Love this song, almost no matter who does it, but their harmony is unbelievably clean. Definitely a headphone song to get all the colors, same as Angelina Jordan's songs whom you have reacted to before and hope you do more of. This was the first non-Angelina reaction I listened to, will definitely start listening to more of your reactions. Keep them coming.
You can tell this is at least four years old because Chris Rupp was still in the group at this time.
They've put out some very interesting "socially distant" videos this year, including one they dropped yesterday called "Moonshine". There's another one called "Quarantine" that's very funny, and one called "Everybody Walking This Land" that's very serious.
Some of my personal favorites are:
End Of The Road
My Church
How Great Thou Art
God Bless The USA (With The Singing Sergeants)
I hate to burst your bubble, but there is a southern sky in Minnesota. As a matter of fact, the further north you go the more southern sky there is, until you get to the North Pole where southern sky is all there is.
I would love to see your reaction to Tim Faust and Peter Hollens performing Misty Mountain. The last note will be amazing
Helplessly Hoping
It IS The Eagles’ (well done)
Hey from Seattle
Okanogan county here🤚🏼
Real road Montgomery County Alabama
It's a triumph from the beatboxer Adam Rupp. It's better in their concerts now that Chris is gone and replaced by Chance - he brings a fuller & richer sound to their overall sound. Have you reacted to their cover of Helplessly Hoping ? It's not just music it's art !!!
Lol you haven't heard their best songs yet!
Seven Bridges Road is my favorite Eagles song, even though that's a cover version, too. So, yeah, I'm going to be pretty nitpicky.
They sang the hell out of the arrangement they were given (or wrote). The performance was spot on. I give it an A+.
My beef is with the arrangement. It wasn't BAD. It was a solid B, and it could have been much, much worse. It just didn't match the quality of their performance. Chiefly, during Tim's verse, I'd have made that entire section strictly lyrical harmonies rather than have someone other than Tim become a bass guitar. I also found that very barbershop minor chord at the end somewhat jarring.
Ok, I've nitpicked. Overall I liked it and will probably listen to it 5 or 6 more times.
Thx! You’re right about it lacking dynamics but I think that’s intentional! Loved it! -Terry from Canoga Park
The Eagles did do Seven Bridges Road, but it was a cover from a Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young song. It was written by Neil Young and first performed in 1969 and the style was totally different from the Eagles or Home Free. This is the original recording by Neil Young. ua-cam.com/video/ZpV83ovYAyY/v-deo.html
Hell I’ve never heard 1 bad song even pop county which I do not like,or pop but they make it there own...
You said in a past video that you love Johnny Cash, a few weeks ago they put out Folsom Prison Blues, done in quarantine. I recommend that and another one that is really good also done in quarantine, Everybody walking this Land. The bass and Baritone in the 2 songs is prevalent.
He goes way lower
PLEASE REACT EAGLES - THE LAST RESORT (W/0 LYRYCS)
Yes Eagles!!...greatest band of my time. flashback ...20-30 people at a party Seven bridges road kicks on...everyone stops and sings along...coyotes howl for miles around :D ...yep I think that's a fair rating for this one. Blue ain't your color by them is GREAT!
Just subscribed to your channel. Love your personality. Would LOVE to see you do some more Home Free reactions. Such as Sold, Catch me if you can, Blue ain't your color, My Church, In the Blood and Hillbilly Bone just to start with...LOL.
Nice.
Home Free Ring of Fire.
Country Roads Home free
Since it's getting to be the holiday season you should check out Home Free Do You Hear What I Hear! It's a good song and Tim gets low!!!
You should really check out their version of Elvira with the Oak Ridge Boys.
If you're looking for a more serious side and 10/10 from Home Free, grab a box of Kleenex and watch Travelin' Soldier.
Listen to May Day, End of the Road and How Great Thou Art.
You have made the comment that you like Johnny Cash. You should check out their cover of Ring Of Fire, with guest Avi Kaplan.
I think no more one note than the Eagles, of whom I have been a fan for over 40 years. Try Do you hear what I hear and Helplessly hoping. If not a 10, then I don’t know what it takes to earn a rating of 10 from you.
Home free has a brand new song out it's called moonshine! Please react to it!
Watch "Ring of Fire" with Avi from penatonics if you like the bass notes.
Mayday, Do You Hear What I Hear, In The Blood, How Great Thou Art, My Church, God Bless The USA with Lee Greenwood and Army choir. All great HF covers. Then listen to Austin’s original, Love Me Like That. Loved your reaction!
This was pretty good. I'd give them an A for execution. They were crisp and on cue and on key and did a great job at generating the overtones.
The only thing I felt was not up to par was in the style. They strayed a bit trying too hard to showcase individual singers.
The Eagles were incomparable. But they didn't have Tim.
You need a new eight ball
Your face was saying A Big Heaping Helping of "Nope!"...
Nice honest reaction though...👊
mmmmm okay
Not bad, but nobody touches the Eagles version.
: )
Boringly fantastic
It was pretty old. Just sayin'.
Stole it from the Eagles. 😁
I don't like your 8 ball LOL
I's not an Eagles song. Period
Acapello loses passion? What the f*** is going on your head ??? Yeah Electronics is where the heart is ?😡
I shouldn't have watched this ! The melody change messed this classic up for me ?
Nothing will come close to the Eagles, sorry.
