Thanks for all you do! I've wanted one of these forever, I'm glad new iterations keep coming out. Hopefully I'll be able to afford one soon! Every time they go on a sale they're sold out. ACSS is #1, & again, great work D! Got any discount codes for a disabled shooter on a fixed income? 😁👍🏻♿💪🏼. Also would you recommend a 1x or 2x & a magnifier or is the 3x still good for up close and personal? I always wonder if with the 1x I might not be able to see/use all of the reticle because it's so small. It's for a Polish AK w/the Beryl sight rail, so there's room for either/or. Thanks again!
They are on sale with bonus bucks. I just purchased one on sale and I am glad I waited (I hope). I can see where your coming from. You really need magnification in order to use these tiny reticles; on top of everything, the PA magnifiers don't even include a mount which doesn't make sense to spend the extra money. You might as well go with a Sig optic that includes the mount or just get an LPVO.
@@nunzionapoli6325 @Nunzio Napoli I'd like to stick with the ACSS reticle. It's design is perfect for fast ranging and engaging, that's why it was put the into the ACOGs for the military. Maybe a 3x by itself. That'd be less weight and easier to see but still effective up close I think. I'm pretty sure if you use Mr gunsngear's code you can get a free mount for the magnifier if going the 1x route.
Watching Nine Hole Reviews Practical Accuracy videos, especially the ones where they use an ACSS reticle, has given me a newfound realization that in a combat situation, speed is much more important than precision. Love Primary Arms prism optics!
Great video. I also use a laminated copy of my horus to show new shooters were to aim when shooting off the rear deck at the ranch with the. 22lr. Dry erase markers help to index point of impacts.
I have one of these on a PSA KS47, and it seems like excellent quality. Sadly I haven’t been able to put it through its paces yet. I also have the 9mm 1x version with the Gemini reticle and really like it. My only complaint is the brightness adjustment knob and the dock is ring are ridiculously hard to turn by hand and I’m not a little guy.
I own an older gen 2 primary arms optic that’s got the same chevron & still don’t understand if yer supposed to zero with the tip in middle of bullseye or bottom tip/lollipop the bullseye?
Sure, because you remembered where you put it. Optics aren't just about hitting, they're also about seeing if there is something to hit, and where it is.
big difference, mainly velocity, in carsalesman talk - 7.62/300 are larger and tend to drop 300 yards, 5.56/308 can go WAY longer like 500 or 600 yards, so scope wise they are not the same, hope that helps
Try to design a 1-3 micro and you literally own the market. I have a stigmatism so I literally have given up all optics for the micro prism. Thanks for what y’all do. Plz 1-3 micro prism.
What's the closest BDC reticle you have to match with the 8.6 Blk in supersonic 185 gr Hdy Cx Bullet? How about the Subsonic 300 gn Sierra bullets? both on a 12" barrell at MV 2050 and MV 1000 respectively...of course the kicker is the 1:3 twist rate but I'm just concerned of the vertical at this point.
How would I zero this if I only have a 50 yard indoor range at my disposal? is there any sort of point on the radical I would aim that would give me 100 yards zero?
Yeah. Trijicon mini footprint. They make AK side mounts that do not use a riser like the one in the video, It mounts directly. Of, for other rifles, MI, ADM, mini Trijicon mounts all work. Different heights, cantilever, whichever is preferred.

Exactly. I use them on my ranch rifles. You need speed when trying to hit a yote at unknown distance fresh off the sxs.
I agree. My white rifle is a Ruger Ranch in x39. It’s scopes with the the 1x6 ACSS raptor in FFP. Hits the deer pretty hard within 250 yards.
Great video.

I have your guys raptor love it.
Question on the zero is it was shooting out of the box 3 ft high at 25 yards. I bottom the scope trying to zero it. I think the tracking had a issue
I believe I'll be getting the 1-6 for my ak. Will probably only use for 400 and in. Gun shoots 5.5 ammo after mag dumping 3 mags. With wolf
Turn up the volume
Have you guys ever thought about a PLx prism?
What is the zero distance recommended by Primary Arms for this optic?
So for a 100 yard shot, Where are you aiming using the reticle? There doesn't seem to be a point of reference... Odd ?
At what distance should this be zeroed?
Does this have vertical ranging?
I own an older gen 2 primary arms optic that’s got the same chevron & still don’t understand if yer supposed to zero with the tip in middle of bullseye or bottom tip/lollipop the bullseye?
Tip in the middle of the target... think of it like slicing a pie.
@@PrimaryArmsOptics awesome! thanks for the reply
Why did you ditch the fast pick up horseshoe on the new SLx Gen 4 ?
I don't like a fixed power scope higher than 2X but cool.
I like our GLX 2x a lot as well, this has the advantage further out because of the wind holds but the 2x is faster up close
My buddy has the gen1 2x prism on his ake. We were hitting a 4x4 block of at 350 yards.

The bullet drop compensator lines in the reticle are different in the two optics for the different bullet weights.

I did a half inch low zero at 25yds. Brings it back on at 100yds. Using a 110gr Hornady Black.
can these take diff mounts? i dont like the look of the one on here
