Doing CQB with 20” rifles with ACOGs on top really shows that an offset dot isn’t necessary. Very basic practice can get you proficient at CQB with magnified optics. Save the weight and just run it.
All day. I have ACOG TA33 3x on two carbines and train for close engagements out to distance. Static, moving, and from cover. KISS setup with BUIS. Batteries not included.
It really depends on your environment. I have seen first hand that a camouflaged target at 200 yards is nearly impossible to identify with a 3x. If you’re training for a home invasion, then a red dot or 1x is all you’d need. If you’re training for SHTF, you’d need more magnification than a 3x because your opponent will be as far away as possible with as much camo as he could possibly use.

These are great do it all general purpose optics, I own two, 1X and 3X and really love them. The 1X is just really underrated and is absolutely a red dot killer, especially if you have any sort of vision issues. I would argue that you don't really need an offset red dot with the 3X. If you don't want another expense, and more equipment hanging off of your rifle then you can easily train with the 3X to make close up shots. Marines did it with 4X for years. The more equipment and high tech you get, the more logistics and support required.
This is one of the best videos that explains optics that I've ever seen. Usually they don't show the reticle when talking about scopes but the way you put this together was easy to see and understand. Thank you for an excellent video.
I tried a Romeo 5, the SLx 1x and GLx 2x on my .338 specter SBR and found that I liked the 2x better even though I shoot suppressed subsonic 80% of the time. I think it was the huge eyebox along with just enough magnification to make some shots easier.
@@CDOES I’m hoping C_Does will get his hands on the new Arken Zulus 5x20 day/night digital scope I can’t buy anything unless I’ve seen you review it first . LoL 👍
I have astigmatism also. I have a PA 3x ACSS optic. I like it fine and it's works well with a low mount on my Zastava ZPAP M70. What really shines is the PA 1x ACSS optic paired with the PA 3x flip-to-side magnifier. If the magnifier is flipped out, I can shoot both eyes open and have a huge field of vision. Flipped in and BAMM, you have super clear longer range vision and a much larger field of vision.
Thank you for the thorough and specific horizontal review on products coming from one single manufacture. I think we need more videos like this than just comparing products from different companies because each company can have many options too and sometimes people get confused and struggled.
I can’t believe I just found your channel. I have a handful of gun tubers who I subscribe to regarding firearms and accessories reviews. Yours is probably one of the best regarding optics! I just bought the GLX 2x prism based on your evaluation and my needs. Two things I’ll add as my go to rifles all have ACOG’s in either TA33 (3x) or TA31 (4x). Target Identification - for sure with higher magnification, better target identification. I don’t compete but use my rifles as tools and I carry a 8x monocular or 10x compact binoculars with me. This does a much better job of target identification in real world situations. Close Quarters Work - with ACOG’s and keeping both eyes open you can be effective at very close distances. And, transitioning to primary and secondary sides is just as effective with prisms if you train to it. Excellent reviews and I look forward to your future stuff!
people make fun of how I can “over analyze” things, (and its true… I can many times to that to a fault) but you provide all the essential details my math mind craves lol. Thanks man… many subscribers in your future. I hope this brings you many new opportunities. Blessings to you in New York… (from CA).
The gold standard of optic Reviews. Thank you. Thinking Glx-2x for affordability, usability, simplicity and versatility based on these reviews. Makes perfect sense.
I really wish you had done some other comparison combos say 1x vs 3x, and 1x vs 5x. I feel you really lose your perspective or understanding of the magnification when you only compare ones that are close together. Maybe just a still image of all 5 side by side.
Outstanding thank you ! New to the prism concept - I needed your expertise here, it has helped me narrow my need to the 3x . Love your approach and no nonsense rapid fire prose . Bravo.
I've had the older version of the 3x32 on my AK for a few years and absolutely love it. However, the size has me looking at these newer ones and I think i'll stay with the 3x. Great comparison.
100%! Same story here. I really was thinking about the new 3x to save weight, but I've seen instances of breakage on the PA when torture testing. I think people should consider that as you may not necessarily go to war with your rifle, but you could easily drop it one day...stuff happens. That version of the 3x, the older one has been put through the ringer and survived everything from drops onto hard rock to being run over with a truck! Just a consideration as I really do like these new optics and love Primary Arms, but I also try to think worst case.
3X is Truly a wonderful optic,I have it on my Zastava M90 and it's nice say sitting at the bench and seeing exactly where I am hitting at 30yrds. plus,It can be used at point blank using the Halo of death as your Dot
I have a 5x, and while eye relief is supposed to be the same, I have a much easier time getting behind the 3x quickly, 2x even more so. I really wanted the 5x to be my solution, but I feel like I have to hunt too much for a clean sight picture. I thought about their full size 5x, but for the weight, you can get an lpvo... I'll add another vote for a glx 4x.
I like the etched reticle because of my astigmatism, On my 3x prism. but the eye relief could be better. I would sacrifice a little in size for a more forgiving eye relief.
For my older eyes, the PA 2x has been my preference on one of my ARs. It replaced the Holosun S510 which I also really like. The 510 found it's way on the PCC.
I have the 1x on one rifle, two slots back from the front of the receiver. No, I do not get the full FOV through it. It doesn't matter, because I have both eyes open. The eye relief, and eyebox are forgiving enough that my head would have to be ridiculously out of position to make it unusable. It is as fast as my RDS equipped rifles, but allows better precision out to 300 yds. The 2x, although not quite as good close in, is still very useable. That tiny bit of magnification, along with the long eye relief, and forgiving eyebox, makes it a favorite. I don't want the 3x or 5x, I want a Glx 4x. PA, are ya listening? Excellent video!
This video was very helpful. I've been considering the SLx 3x for an AK build. I generally love the RDS+magnifier set up, but AKs have inherant height-over-bore and cheek-weld issues when mounting optics. So a 3x prism sight that can be mounted low and have as good of an eye-box as the SLx 3x seems like the best match for an AK
I’m really hung up on lpvo vs 1x +3x flip to side magnifying. Won’t be magnifying often as its home will be on til of a 12.5” barreled ar. Have offset flip up backups (magpul pro offsets to the right of pic rail….wanting mag to flip to left of pic rail. Have an astigmatism….and am right handed with left eye dominance. Everything that can go against me aiming properly already has happened. We’ll see I guesss.
@@1lostinspace uh no im pretty sure i'd be able to see it, just like you can in the 5x.... so are you saying that every device/ product is 100% perfect from the factory? if so then why is there any aftermarket for cars, firearms, and many other things? MFG's make what they think is best for everyone. doesnt mean it is.
Just to take this another way. I have had all three of the PA micro's. My favorite is the 1x. I always say it is the most underrated optic out there. With that said - I have a Steiner T432 4x prism and it is head and shoulders above anything PA has to offer in a prism. The glass is super clear, FOV is amazing, great reticle and is plenty bright. Now with all that there is a weight penalty but I will take it for the quality of the prism.
I'm glad you mentioned cross-eye dominance this is probably the only optics review video I've seen make mention of that. I'm right handed and left eye dominant, although I've been training to flip my eye dominance, I still struggle to shoot anything magnified with both eyes open which is why I love red dots, so I'm almost wondering if the 3x might be fine yet as a sort of do-anything general purpose optic setup on something like a 14.5 AR, I'd say a large majority of my shooting takes place well under 100 yards but there's times I'd like to get out to 200-300, with my aging eyes I've grown to like my 5x magnifier but it does have very limited eye relief and very limited field of view. I'm thinking the 3x might be the good compromise I'm looking for.
On my 3x micro prism the reticle started to tilt to the right. I'm gonna have to send it back. I'll get another one and put it back on my Hellion bullpup. Now I have a couple of the 1x's and I even have one on my bolt action .308 and another one on my Remington pump action 30-06 which turns out to be my favorite hunting set.
26:10 don't they also have a 45° mount? i'd be interested in a review of that mount and its durabilty, especially since i've seen some of the 12 o'clock ones get bent when dropped
This was a excellent review. I've been debating which 1 I want to put on a 12GA I own and I'm definitely leaning towards 3x after watching this. Thank you so much.
Monstrum makes the Ghost front-mounted prism magnifier. It's 2X, and works very well with my PA 1X, without any of the eye relief problems caused by rear-mounted magnifiers.
Very well done and informative video, You made it easy to understand what each offered, Pros and Cons, and then situations where you felt each would shine. I just picked up my 1st Pcc and one of the 1st things i wanna do is optics. this video gave a lot of solid info that was easy to follow, even for newbie like myself.
Idk about these optics but I love Primary Arms. They're pretty close to me in Houston and have awesome prices and service. This guy is the best optics reviewer on the UA-cam with that CA Super Set guy second but I think he started a new channel. I need to try one of these but the next cheap optic I get will probably be their 1-6 LPVO with their Nova reticle. I hear the illumination is great on those. I have a Sig MSR 1-8 and a Vortex Viper Pst 1-6. 8 need an ACOG and another LPVO. I would love a Razor or NightForce but they are expensive as you know.
Lightweight point aim and shoot optic is ideal for coyote hunting. Love this micro prism concept. I’ve looked through a 3x but have not looked through the 5x. I’m imagining the 5x should be better for aiming but not ideal for field of view on acquiring running coyotes. Wonder how last minute light is with the 5x. Also really want the 5x FDE color released for hunting. My painting scope skill is not desirable
Having tried a prism scope for the first time last weekend at IWA in Germany. Besides making it clear, that i do have some form of a slight stigmatism haha. They are a very nice design and a good option over a red dot, also with the edged reticle it saves on needing BUIS if you dont have a battery or the battery fails for some reason. And this video is superb in showing the difference between the variants. But even more so by showing the different distances you can actually place a prism. That is one thing i was looking for, because i would like to put a 1x prism on my AK. At the moment can only place it on the front handguard right behind the rear sight (in time will have a dust cover option). And was worried that it would be to far forward for the prism. But looking at it in the video that shouldnt be a major issue at all.
Thanks for a fantastically informative vid, have been mulling over the x3 or x5 for a specific comp build, very helpful to see that difference in the size of the view and the field of view, invaluable!
I'm also just getting into 2 gun comp. I have a Stribog SP9A1 PCC converted to a 16" (legally converted) carbine. I used it in my first match which was also my first qualification match and it ran great. I have the PA SLXx1 prism. What do you run?
I've got the slx 3x micro magnifier mounted behind the slx 1x. And the eye box is pretty generous. I'm using a kp-15 lower and I can put my head anywhere on the stock and pickup the sight picture quickly.
Based on your videos, I put a GLX 2x on a Rossi R-95 lever action rifle. I love the optic; however, the height over bore is too high for that rifle even with the lowest possible setup. The GLX will end up on an AR soon. I came back because I just picked up a PCC. You are very clear about which one to get! Thanks.
The GLX 1x has been a game changer for me since I bought it a few weeks ago. It replaced one of my red dots for home defense. My astigmatism has been completely addressed at least for one rifle. Only thing that sucks is what am I gonna do now with my other red dots? I have multiple that I spent thousands of dollars on.
@@CDOES Well today was Christmas and my wife allowed me to open up my H&R XM177 and PA SLx 1X with carry handle mount. I absolutely love that optic. It’s like it was made for the carry handle. My eye just goes to it naturally. Glad I went 1X. The whole package is light and handy. I’m going to buy more of the SLx line. Thanks for your reviews.
I’m currently trying to decide if I should get the 3x or 2x for my Zastava M70 and I am so torn. 😢 what do you in the comment section think? The rifle is designed to be used from 25-300 yards.
Evolution Gun Works makes adapter plates for the Vortex Spitfires which can allow mounting any other micro red dot--important if you're doing it for nods since the Viper doesn't have a good NV setting. Also, Primary Arms' older SL 5x has a much better pic mount for piggyback red dots. Heavier prism, but durable and still less weight than an LPVO.
I would love it if an option of the 3X would be to get the reticle that the 5X has. Just do not like that stupid donut. Also, 1 MOA adjustments on the 1X is just too coarse. This is what stops me from buying that one.
I've been going back and forth on finding a new optic to replace the old trijicon mro (in the 5k SN range) that is on my 8" 300BLK. I landed on the 1x SLX.
Another great video on the subject, great job C_Does. One downside of prism that rarely is talked about is having cowittiness iron sights as a backup. I don’t know if it’s possible with 1x prisms, but it’s impossible with magnified ones. Even a LPVO at 1x can be used with irons, but let’s be honest: if your glass is cracked to the point you can’t use the reticle, the iron sights won’t help you much.
That's why I prefer flip ups if my primary aiming system is using any kind of glass whatsoever. Both are zeroed at 100 but they are zeroed seperate from one another.
It would be impossible to cowitness. I dont think its talked about much because it just doesnt make sense. If you wanted to run standard positioned MBUIS inline with a prism. youd need either a QD mount for the prism. or just run offset.
@@CDOES 100% agree. Should have said that use a Midwest Industries quick detach mount on my 3x microprism. I doubt I will ever crack a prism, more likely I will bend the mount and lose zero.
@@CDOES While it doesn't make sense as backups, it is possible and is a quick way of getting a rough zero if your BUIS are already zeroed. I agree re: BUIS so 45-degree offsets for BUIS do make the most sense.
I run a PA SLx 1x and a Vector Optics Paragon 1x16 on different rifles. Both with the Holosun HM3X magnifier behind the prism. Both function perfect when one matches the diopers for their own vision. I don't understand why many claim that prism+magnifier can't be used together. Perhaps it is because they tried the PA 6x magnifier which makes the image a blurry mess..?
Specialist setups vs General purpose is a good discussion to have. General purpose is set by the geographic regions one lives in. Flat land with dense vegetation doesn't offer many options for magnification, while mountainous terrain or clear fields like prairies are very good for magnification. Inside buildings vs between buildings is also a factor.
What about using a microprism as a magnifier? I'm considering the Holosun SCRS with a 5x microprism behind it on a flip to side mount (compatible with PA magnifier mount). Get the advantage of magnification and the drop reticle with the illuminated reticles superimposed. Seems you've got all the gear.. do a video.
I love the 1x and 3x I have, but I just wish the eye relief would allow for use on more traditional rifles. the 3 or 5x would be awesome on a .22lr or 300blk bolt action, but the eye relief doesn't work out. I just grabbed a glx 2x to give it a shot and see if it will work out on my 300blk bolt action. Figured it would be a decent balance between a red dot and an l/mvpo
@@onpsxmember on an AR15 the last few slots on the receiver. On my ar10, it has to be all the way back with the 1.41 mount. The taller mounts cantilever back a bit more so maybe a slot more forward. But there is no way in hell it has enough relief for a bolt action or more traditional rifle rail location.
I have used the GLX 2x on a bolt gun (7.62x39) and it’s a super handy package. Get a Pic rail for your rifle’s receiver, mount the prism all the way back, and you should be good. If you have a variable length of pull stock, remove the spacers, or if there’s a compact stock option for your rifle, go with that. Something around a 12” to 13” LOP should be perfect. Ruger sells the American Ranch rifle in .350 Legend with a compact stock. Adorable little thing; weighs 6 lbs and is shorter than a yardstick. I am seriously considering getting one of those and trying a 7.62x39/ .300 BLK GLX prism on it. The ballistics should be pretty close (.350 Legend is a lot like .30-30) and with the detachable box mag, that strikes me as an epic truck gun. Hogs, close up whitetail, coyotes, whatever. I think the SLX 3x prism (mentioned above) would be a tough one to mount properly on a bolt gun; eye relief will be the challenge. The 2x shines for that kind of project.
Hey C_Does! Love your stuff man. I would love to see a video from you comparing fixed 5x prisms. The Steiner T536, the PA SLx 5x, and the Swampfox Saber are all pretty solid and I would love to hear how they contrast in your observations. Hope your Thanksgiving was great!
This makes way too much sense. The magnification explanation helped me a ton. I’m probably just going to go with a 2x due to fov. Great job on the breakdown
The !x magnification is NOT NV compatible and neither is the 3x which I own. I would imagine none of the others are as well. I wish they were because I would definitely own the 1X. For that reason I have an NV compatible red dot offset with the 3x as my primary. Works really well. I also have astigmatism. Other than that minor assumption about the compatibility, this is an excellent review and confirms the set up that I originally had my doubts about. Glad I found your channel.
I couldn't get mine to work behind so I tried forward. I have the micro prism mounted between T6 & T12 on my upper and the magnifier on the back slots of my forend rail. I do not need to shift my cheek weld when switching between magnified & unmagnified. It's a slick setup, I recommend people with the combo give it a try if they haven't already. I also have the magnifier switched around to swing to the left with PA's non-push button mount. I can quickly move it to magnified or unmagnified with the thumb of my weak hand while gripping the forend or use the Kyle Defoor method by rotating it against my non-dominant forearm to move it to magnified.
The tried the Vortex 3x, but the eye relief was under half an inch. I had to press my glasses against the optic hard enough to push my glasses closer to my eye. The reticle was also too small to see. I couldn't rate the Vortex any lower. It was literally unsuable.
I have the older SLx MD-25 with the ACSS CQB reticle and I do love it. The only other comparison optic I have is a Bushnell TRS-26 red dot. For my eyes I like the PA ACSS reticle better than the red dot of the Bushnell. I got the PA MD-25 on sale for only $129.
I have the 1x for my ar15 and I'm planning on putting the 3x magnifier with a flip mount. It's the best of both worlds as far as I'm concerned. You have the 1x used like a red dot for me up to 50yrd and then the flip which makes it 4x over 200yrds with the ranging features that also magnify. The 3x magnifier by pa is small and short as well and with the different mounting options it comes with I really don't think the 1x will be positioned to far forward at all. That's what I'm going with my personal preference and most likely I'll always have the magnifier on unless close up and personal which doesn't happen that often but it's there when needed.
Bought a 3x thanks to this video. I was torn between the 5x and the 3x (putting it on a lever action) but the large view sold me on the 3x. I wanted something simple, mechanically, and i figure fixed magnification is fine with a wide field of view.
Incredible content. You've earned a sub.Hop mentioned you and it took me a while to find your channel (searched seedoo, CDU, Ceedu, etc). Maybe simplify the channel name so more people can find you like Hop did? Cheers mate.
Excellent explanation of great optics & their differences. Love the PA 1x I'm using right now on an SP5. Considering a 3x for a custom 10/22 build (old eyes) for 25, 50, 100 & 150. Any opinions? Thank you & keep up the good work.
For me, a fixed 5x is the sweet spot of optics for a 'normal' AR (12.5.- 16.5", shooting out to 400 yds). I use a RDS and 5x mag and it does everything I need it do, but strongly considering a 5x prism. An LPVO never made sense to me, since you generally always use the piggyback RDS for 1x, so the 1x portion of the LPVO is somewhat pointless. Anything close enough for 2-3x I would be able to simply use my RDS for instead. Anything far enough away that I would need over 6x to shoot is further than 400ish yards and not what I use that setup for. So I would be spending the money and weight and real estate for an LPVO that essentially stays fixed around 4-6x constantly. A lightweight fixed 5x with a piggyback RDS makes way more sense, is less moving parts, less real estate, and less chances to fail.
I run a 1-4 lpvo on my 16" and I love it. It's A red dot and ACOG in one. Etched glass reduces the need for an offset. The less on the rifle, the less points if failure. The lpvo is not that heavy. I do really want the 2x in this video though
@@themightycrixus1131 Good 1-4x and 1-6x LPVOs can be very flexible, especially the ones with a great 1x and good bright dot. Steiner P4Xi is one of the greats in the category.
I found this a great tutorial. I'm currently in the market for a PSA prism and this has been most informative. I still need to find the correct eye relief/ model that will work on a SOCOM 16, which from what I understand I will most likely require a mount that will replace my rear site. If anyone has recommendations for mounting say the x2 I would love to hear what you have to say.
@c_does thanks for the video! Just bought a ruger pcc and 1x microprism. Curious, did you use the mount that came with the optic or is there another you would recommend?
Solid review. I was browsing one of the resellers website another day and noticed the description left too much to desire: one model has MIL dot, one has yard Bullet drop holdover in yard, one in meter. The reticle adjustment in MOA? I’m really confused. Please shed some lights on these.
Great overview of the lineup. I recently got a 1x micro prism along with their 3x micro magnifier. I couldn't get it to work with the magnifier behind the micro prism, but as a last resort, I switched it around and put the magnifier in front, bingo success. @@themightycrixus1131 The aiming device (micro prism) is mounted on the receiver while the magnifier is on the forend (a rock solid aluminum free float handguard). Optics like night vision devices (pocket scopes/monoculars) and *aiming devices like laser aiming modules (visible & IR) are mounted all of the time on forends/handguards* or in front of other optics that are on the upper receiver.
Solid shit dude! Yea 3x is awesome for us basement commandos

Lead LARPing. I am guilty.
people make fun of how I can “over analyze” things, (and its true… I can many times to that to a fault) but you provide all the essential details my math mind craves lol.
Magnificent
I’m researching for my AK, good information thanks
Just got the Glx x2 for my Henry Allweather sidegate 30-30. Best ever.
That sounds about right
I like the etched reticle because of my astigmatism, On my 3x prism. but the eye relief could be better. I would sacrifice a little in size for a more forgiving eye relief.
Same, I ended up trading mine out for the GLX 2x for my AK
Get the ADM mount and you can push it back so that it’s not an issue

👌 good choice mate! Lmk how it works for you
@@CDOESwe mounted it to a Ruger 9mm PCC, and it’s done well so far. Easy to use, good eye box, clear glass. Very nice!
This was excellent and very helpful. The 2x will best meet my needs. Thank you.
I would love the 5 x reticle in the 3x optic. i like how on the 5x reticle only the chevron is illuminated.
you wouldn’t see it, there is a reason things are how they are

Just to take this another way.
I have had all three of the PA micro's. My favorite is the 1x. I always say it is the most underrated optic out there.
With that said - I have a Steiner T432 4x prism and it is head and shoulders above anything PA has to offer in a prism.
The glass is super clear, FOV is amazing, great reticle and is plenty bright. Now with all that there is a weight penalty but I will take it for the quality of the prism.
The fact he pronounces small as “smol” makes me smile to no end.
Good video. I bought the 1x-Red when they 1st released and I just bought a 3x-Green after watching this video
The most detail Prism guide by far. Thank you
I am happy you think so
I'm glad you mentioned cross-eye dominance this is probably the only optics review video I've seen make mention of that.
I really appreciate an intelligent, and very detailed explanation and of this particular red dot. Thank you!
So happy you decided to get in front of the camera. Youre a natural. Dangerous video to release on black friday though 😂
Thanks for the review. It was a big help in choosing a Prism scope.
I'm glad to hear that
Very well done and informative video, You made it easy to understand what each offered, Pros and Cons, and then situations where you felt each would shine.
I've got the 3x on a pined 13.7 and pushing it out to 400y on a 18in steel plate was pretty fun.
Best optics review channel on UA-cam. You should have over 100K subscribers.
Hopefully theyll bring out the FDE format for all of them in the future. That and ODG plz
First off, great face. Second, the 1X is probably my favorite red dot to run period as someone with an astigmatism.
Awesome video !
@@michaelcervantez3570 thank you
Nice review. If you want to cowitness your iron sights, you have to go with the 1x.
Thanks for a fantastically informative vid, have been mulling over the x3 or x5 for a specific comp build, very helpful to see that difference in the size of the view and the field of view, invaluable!
best optic channel by far and for years
I have the 1x with a 3x magnifier and its fantastic. Primary use is 2 gun action matches with targets out to 300 yards.
I'm also just getting into 2 gun comp. I have a Stribog SP9A1 PCC converted to a 16" (legally converted) carbine. I used it in my first match which was also my first qualification match and it ran great. I have the PA SLXx1 prism. What do you run?
How do you feel the eyebox works for you when your not using the magnifier?
I've got the slx 3x micro magnifier mounted behind the slx 1x. And the eye box is pretty generous. I'm using a kp-15 lower and I can put my head anywhere on the stock and pickup the sight picture quickly.

Truely good info. Just found this and have been intrigued in these optics for a long time. Best in-depth stuff out there for sure.
I am about to buy one. Thank you for your awesome channel. Throwing one on an XM177e2 on the carry handle. Thinking 1x as it’s not a distance gun.
That'll be so retro it'll hurt!
@@CDOES Well today was Christmas and my wife allowed me to open up my H&R XM177 and PA SLx 1X with carry handle mount. I absolutely love that optic. It’s like it was made for the carry handle. I’m currently trying to decide if I should get the 3x or 2x for my Zastava M70 and I am so torn. 😢 what do you in the comment section think? The rifle is designed to be used from 25-300 yards.
I would not trade for my 3x! You can train to use the 3x without need for an offset dot for close quarters use.
Thanks Man!!! Good knowledge of what I’m going to do next with optics. Much appreciated.
@Rm-1776 Co-witness not a problem with the 1x
Thank you for this. Was my exact question.
How close does one need to be with 3x? It should be 2.5'' but I've heard it is less.
Hope your Thanksgiving was great!
seems like 5x prisms are somewhat of a niche product. but that would be a good review!
Just get the fullsize 5x if you want an acog. the micros wil not be any better than the acogs they try to copy.

Glad I found your channel.
i recently discovered forward magnifiers, I wonder how well that would work with the 1x micro prism
What do you think about running a LPVO with the 1x Micro as the offset?
The tried the Vortex 3x, but the eye relief was under half an inch. I had to press my glasses against the optic hard enough to push my glasses closer to my eye. The reticle was also too small to see. I couldn't rate the Vortex any lower. It was literally unsuable.
Great guide, lots of information and comparisons between them is great, very helpful
Hope you had a great Thanksgiving my friend!
As to you, my friend.
We have many models of ipvo,Variable magnification, fixed magnification, large field of view.
So would you recommend the 1x or 2x for a 300BLK pistol dedicated for subsonic use?

Hey bro, I absolutely love your reviews…what camera/phone mount are you using behind the optic?
I have heard that the cantilever mounts for the 5x tend to lose zero in a drop. Is that the same for the 3x?
Buyers guide is a great idea!
Excellent explanation of great optics & their differences. Love the PA 1x I'm using right now on an SP5.
Considering a 3x for a custom 10/22 build (old eyes) for 25, 50, 100 & 150. Any opinions?
Thank you & keep up the good work.
Thanks for the comprehensive breakdown. I have a friend in the fence with his purchase.

It is best to keep all optics mounted on your reciever. Hand guards can flex
@@themightycrixus1131 The aiming device (micro prism) is mounted on the receiver while the magnifier is on the forend (a rock solid aluminum free float handguard).
