Really glad to see Doc finally make his way to Classified. One of my favorite things about the Joes characters was that not all of them were purely combat focused. Doc and Lifeline are two of my favorite characters.
Great review. He looks awesome. Glad the glasses fit snug with the helmet on. Not a big fan of the plug-in vest pieces but that is a minor annoyance for me.
Thanks, David. Yep it's a good snug fit, not sure how great they'll sit with the helmet off though. The plug and play nature of the vest is good because you can mod it accordingly go suit your needs.
In looking at The retro Scarlett and now Doc, I can’t help but wonder why the 60th anniversary figures are $10 more? Doc and Scarlett come packed with accessories and are $25. 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Great review. I’ve never paid attention to what parts were used on other figures. Even from the beginning. I still remember getting Doc as a kid. I lost my mind when the Saw Viper did his thing!!!!
Thx buddy and yeah same. Weapons and accessory reuse I've always had an eye for, but limbs and bucks, not my thing. It is impressive just how keen eyed those collectors are tho. Oh man that story arc is such a classic.
19:36 Doc: "Quick-Kick, you should really wear shoes. Stepping on Legos with bare feet can lead to serious injury." Now we know, and knowing is half the battle! 😂
Great review! I'm going to have to pick him up, definitely. I've been wondering about the new Gung Ho. Whether or not to buy the old light blue uniform or the new brown, which does look pretty cool.
He's pretty cool reuse - Falcon/Recondo top half, Shipwreck lower half. My only gripe is they keep making the African Americans too old looking. Obviously it's on purpose as Doc didn't have any gray (or age). And it doesn't look bad, but him and Stalker seem older than many of the other Joes.
Thanks for the intel. It's a perfect blend of those parts. That's a fair gripe even more so when you consider it looks like they've slapped the existing Stalker head on the upcoming retro which is not only lazy but goes against what the retro line should be.
@@SharkEyesToyView Especially when they've been willing to go modification on several - if they do a Retro Falcon I don't believe they're going to release him om that OG head...
I have a suspicion that they wanted Doc to look old for a couple of reasons 1. he's often shown as CMO and they have Stretcher, Wolf Spider and Life Line to be the younger Medics so he's the "Boss" due to being an early character. and also Doc has a Daughter/Niece so they might want to add her at some stage so having him look a bit older helps with that a bit. Besides not everyone has to be in their 20s.
Very nice! They pushed all these figures back in the states til Aug 2nd. Hasbro said we can’t have people getting a whole wave of figures and retro figures in June then they are inclined to order less stuff snd spend less money for yo Joe June if they just got a whole bunch of new stuff! At least that’s why I think they delayed the release of this whole wave and the retro wave as well
Really cool 👍 I love when they add a lot of accessories like that, makes for a better figure. Hope they concentrate on Flash & Airtight like this when they decide to release them. Great review..
Great review as always! Thanks for putting these out, you’ve def helped me make some decisions on new Classified. And who doesn’t like an Aussie accent?? 😆
Great review of the Doc figure. Greetings from the US. Might have to look at the costs of the ordering from AUS retailers in rare instances since we still aren’t scheduled to get this wave till at least August. Enjoy!
Hey Sabir, thanks for the kind words and G'day from Oz. If you ever need any Aussie retailers advice, hit me up on IG or Facebook and I'm happy to steer you in the right directions. We still have VAMPs here btw 😉
@@SharkEyesToyView thank you for the leads on retail options in Oz! Sure will link up on the socials and again really enjoyed your classified review! Enjoy the weekend
They really need to make vests removable. The only issue is that they don't stay on quite as well like with tripwire's vest snaps. Maybe they can figure out a better way
May not be in everyone want list but having a Doc for the Joe Team is always welcomed. the only thing that's crazy about GI Joe collection is that your Cobra roster needs to be bigger than the Joe's!
while a medic would use punches it's a same doc dosent come with a back pack you could open up with a least medical tolls molded into the pack. there's no way those pouches hold enough stuff for a squad nevermind a platoon of guys. I believe most modern medics go into the field with a giant pack full of stuff. a pack you could attach that stretcher to would have been better but at least we are getting a medical fig I guess. I'm sure I can mod a valaverse pack to get what I want.
Nice! I’m curious about the “gun” . I guess I’ll find out. But I hope to find him on clearance during holidays. But very happy & love the boxes. Great for in box collection

You said he carries a torch ??? That doesn't make any sense, why would anyone carry a torch and where is the torch I didn't see it ? Doc looks cool I can't wait to see him in hand. Great unboxing and review video 👍
I like the idea of the vest, especially considering Doc's original sketch art had him wearing a frag vest, but they really should have made it removable. After seeing firsthand how bulky and cumbersome that vest is on the Action Soldier, I'm definitely removing that thing. It just sucks, because I'll have to boil and pop the arms. They could have at least gave him shoulders like Hawk where the arms can be removed easily. That vest can look so cool, but most of the time it's just too frustrating to mess with. I'll probably paint a Valaverse vest to match, and modify it to accept the pouches. That way I can have a vest that is easily taken on and off.

I've been waiting for you to comment. Simply because I took some of what you said on board and applied it, so I'm glad you noticed that. As for the music, I did turn the volume down, it's the stereo quality of the track which is causing the difference between that and the mic on my phone. From ANY toy line. if a character wears glasses is anyone displaying the figs without them? Other then collectors that are to scared to lose them of course.
Docs medical licence should be questioned. Wtf are in those pill boxes? I'm an ex paramedic and all my seniors and instructors were field medics in the war. None carried pill bottles in the field. Think Doc has seen too much, that's probably why they took his pistol away and gave him a tazor 😂😂😂
Why do you rarely ever show the actual artwork (drawn versions of the characters on the side, not the photos on the back) on the side of the packaging. None of Hasbro's product images show those and many of us are worried Hasbro got rid of the artwork or would phone it in and we'd love to see that. Thanks for the reviews otherwise, mate.
To keep my reviews shortened is one reason, the other is because those images are readily available on Hasbro's site and splashed across socials. If I had more a frame of reference who actually created them I would pay closer attention, but at the end of the day the people want to see the toys and we gots to give the people what they want. You're most welcome, mate.
You're not alone there and I feel for inbox collectors. If you're going to rip into the box, just chuck it in the recycling bin and save some space in your man cave.

Yep they are problematic accessories. One can't help but feel that sculpting them on in a lot of cases would be for the best.
I skipped cuz I know they'll give us cartoon colors next, but he does look great like this
Yep! Pretty much guaranteed.
Stella! Stella!!!!!!
You're a dame and I'm a fella?
Hi my friend. Is the vest removable?
Nope.
DOC IS FIRE 🔥
Darn skippy he is.
If a figure has glasses unless they're goggles i wish they would just mold them on the figure.
There is defenitely a solid argument for that. They are easily lost if one is careless and are just waiting for the vacuum to gobble them up.
How did you get him
Walked into a store here in Melbourne, handed my debit card to the store owner and paid for them.
They gave Doc the face of Danny Glover and hopefully his asbestos underwear too.
[sarcasm] Oh No ! someone messed up at the factory and put Gi Joe toys in Star Wars packaging [/sarcasm]
All of the Gridiron glasses are oversized and only look good on larger heads like Gung Ho.
Yeah nah Yeah
So, Doc is a "killer" figure lol
Hahaha the irony.
Kind of looking like LeBron James funky azz lol
Lol did not expect an NBA reference on this review, but as a fan of the roundball, I appreciate it.
@@SharkEyesToyView round ball lol nice people call it black a ball lol
I dislike the new packaging...it looks a lot like packaging for the cheap, non articulated Joes you find at Five Below, Dollar General, and the like.
You're not alone there and I feel for inbox collectors. If you're going to rip into the box, just chuck it in the recycling bin and save some space in your man cave.
Great review! Can't wait ti get this figure for my collection.
Thanks, Frank.
