There are lots of lessons and tutorials out there... this is the only one that definitively teaches you how to approach this Colter Wall song, Corralling The Blues. Here, you'll learn the Corralling The Blues chords and movements. Guitar lessons in person are expensive, this is free. Other guitar tutorials on youtube can be risky for your playing habits, because you may be taught faulty mechanics and spend time practicing incorrect short cut versions of a song. This video wont do that to you.
I was hoping you could also do For a Long While and The Coyote & The Cowboy, and great lesson as always
I second this^^
PLEASE!
For a Long While is maybe my favorite Colter song of em all. Dying to learn how to play that one.
PLEASEEEEE!!

Great lessons man! 👍 Been struggling trying to figure out colter's version of church street blues would appreciate your help with a lesson on that 😂🙏
I was waiting for this one! 👍
👍
I’ve got harmonica tabs for this and some other Colter Wall songs up on channel one if anyone is interested! This video is definitely the best guitar tutorial for this song I’ve seen so far.
Hey Tim, so colter played this song acoustic on his instagram page. I’m no expert but I’m pretty he played this without the capo on 1. This is probably different on the studio recording but his acoustic version is also beautiful. Would love to see you make a video on that version because it’s quite a bit different than this version besides the main chords.
Great stuff man!
Thanks, and thanks for the comment!
Awesome tutorial!
I think it’s been mentioned a couple times already, but it would be awesome to get a lesson on The Cowboy and The Coyote!
Awesome tutorial! You’re always my go to. Could you do Motors Fried by John R. Miller?
Thanks! Haven't ever learned that song... but I'm definitely looking forward to this new John R. Miller album that is coming out
You need to do the whole Little songs album Tim!! And he has alot of other great stuff you know it i bet, such as wild dogs and rocky mountain rangers, would be really happy!!!
Could you do Everlasting Lover by 49 Winchester
Thank you for this Tim… (thought about JI Strawberry Woman… ? pretty nice song also)
I definitely still plan to do that one at some point
What scale is the lead guitar picking in? Thanks for the video!
Do you by chance have tablature for this? 👉🏻👈🏻
Guitar question: I'm looking at getting my first high end guitar - I've narrowed down to OM-21 -- 000-18 - Larivee OM40 (sounds just like OM-21) -- but I am loving the sound of this WL-14 (but no one nearby to play) - Play a lot of Colter Wall, Sturgill, and finger style arrangements. Current guitar are 000-15sm and Taylor 322 12 fret (super comfortable but tone not quite country enough). Main goal is to have something super playable with solid country tone. Any thoughts on Martins vs this WL-14?
I would go for a Martin over the Waterloo as a "primary" guitar... especially if it's your first high end guitar. I love this Waterloo, and it does what it does really really well... but I don't consider it to be super versatile. Handles the Colter Wall sound really well (Western-y waltzes and such) but it doesn't have the same roundness of tone that I'd want in playing a broader spectrum of songs
@@TimGuitarLessons Thanks for getting back to me - and love the content.
Was rewatching this video and realized I had commented on it - I ended up with a used CEO-7 which I absolutely love. I think I like the tone of the 000-18 a slightly better, but the very wide string spacing on the CEO-7 is super comfortable - it's like 2 5/16 which I have discovered is my preferred spacing. Felt way less cramped than the standard 18 series. It also helped that Waterloos are pretty hard to find these days. Any, thanks again for responding and the input.
Awesome. What guitar is that? looks real nice
This is a Waterloo WL14X
Please do The Coyote and The Cowboy next!!
🔪 🔥
Thanks man!
