I'm saving this video, Im a Native American from Idaho and never learned how to make fry bread, I was always real shitty at making the dough but you made it look too damn easy, so I'm doing it your way tonight, thanks
It's a native thing. Much love to the indigenous ones of America. You know our people sailed to the Americas 1000s of years ago. That's how we got the sweet potatoe here in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Might even have bloodlines too???.
Just came across your video & now I’m subscribed! Love how you explain reasonings behind what you’re doing when you knead or the bubbles in your dough, rolling it out etc thank you for that. Sometimes I skip steps when I’m cooking or baking then I ask why it didn’t turn out right & it’s just because I’ve skipped a step I didn’t think was necessary where as had known why you need to do certain steps then I’d understand not to skip lol thank you
Love your videos found them!.... I get it now canola oil, shallow pan of oil, knead until dough stops sticking to the palms ....you are amazing! thank you for the tips brother my husband will love my fry bread even more now! Kia ora mo tera
I get tired seeing measure this, measure that, even measure the damn salt. I like this style of learning, it’s like how my parents teach how to cook/bake. Finally something I can understand so we’ll.
Your funi and authentic it’s cool to see originality. Gets boring when people are too serious. I actually switch off boring. Quick easy to follow well explained. Enjoying your blog.. thankyou
This was great, totally real you and that Maori face! Hawaiian's don't have fry bread in our history so I have been watching lots of vids. Aloha and Mahalo from Maui!
These look pretty damn perrrrfect tbh! I don’t care how much flour you used ... at the end of the day it comes down to the technique! And they came out 👌... had me drooling over the screen LOL 🤣 you got the magic touch that’s for suuuure 😌👌
Awesome ow Torres straight has their very own fry bread Queen. My wife's great grandmothers name was Emma from the cook islands they called her Queen Emma.
Awesome glad I could help. Some people hold on to their secrets and it never gets passed on and it dies out. I dont want that for the future of our people. Hence the reason why I did the video. Kia pai to ra.

You hardly made any mess!!! You are amazing. And this is the first time any of your stuff came up in my youtube feed, so it says right now it’s like 4 years old (today is 2022) so I figure shucks, this guy probably doesn’t make videos anymore. Then I checked and saw you’re still making videos! Man I sound like a sad ass.
Thanks for your observation. That is onethjng I shouldve pointed out in the video aswell. This technique does leave hardly any mess. Thanks for watching, and I hope you enjoyed some of my other content aswell. I haven't uploaded in a while but am looking to upload more content in the near future. Kiaora.
I tried again tonight with your method and they came out beautiful again. My son said, "so you can make these all the time now, with a big grin on his face"😁 Yasss👩🍳
I have never seen this technique before. The dough looks so soft and you made it look easy but I know it's not. Very entertaining to watch Kapai your mahi💯
Something I have learnt making fried bread is to not over knead. The warm water will keep the mix soft and warm. When you knead it dont use too much muscle until you get the soft smooth consistency. When you apply too much muscle the dough begins to stiffen up from the cold. The way he does it is perfect. Hes lightly kneading until he has control of the dough. You'll know when you have control of it when it doesnt stick and moves smoothly with your movements. I hope this helps. This is a really good video I am now a new subscriber. Keep up the good work!!
Im going to try this method my nannies have taught how to make fried bread but this way seems more simplistic for those with less kai. Tu much alright.
Thanks bro. I use a different recipe, but I needed your tutorial to know how to bring the mixture together better, and knead better. Less is more eh?? Loved it. Now my fried breads are even better Thanks bro
Dude great job ! I've got to try the self raising flour which I haven't tried before , just plan flour and baking power and salt . Mine isn't as fluffy as yours . Mine is kind of a big flat . Big thanks from California USA ! 👍
Just watched from Ojibwe and Dakota country. Minnesota. I use a bit more ingredients in my frybread. But I am definitely going to have to try your way. Yours looks delicious 😋.. mine is too ayyy. Thanks for sharing
