I used to play this game with my stepdad and sister sadly my stepdad isn’t in the picture anymore and it’s the best memory I have with him. Playing this game
God, the fucking framerate issues in this game... they could've remastered it by fixing the issues, but they didn't. They're providing us with too much of the N64 nostalgia by keeping the atrocious framerate issues intact.
+Sergeant Sunflower I think it's possible the port of Bad Fur Day seen here is running on a Nintendo 64 emulator built for this collection, with slightly modified graphics (button prompts) to match the Xbox One controller. Texture editing is fairly straight forward on the Nintendo 64 if I remember right (assuming they used something like Rice's video plugin). It would explain why the framerate dips in areas that occur on a real Nintendo 64, and why this is much more limited (no re-done textures, screen size cannot be modified, and of course the framerate being bad in some areas) in comparison to the Kazooie, Tooie, and Perfect Dark ports on the collection. Those were remakes that took advantage of the game's source code, which is why those ran buttery smooth. It seems Rare went with an emulator route for Bad Fur Day for whatever reason. Perhaps it's because they lost the source code to the original game, or didn't want to spend time porting the game over? Kazooie/Tooie/Perfect Dark's ports were originally made for the Xbox Live Arcade and probably took a little while to port. Maybe porting Bad Fur Day to the console might've taken too long? Honestly the framerate doesn't seem too bad. I'm just really happy Rare finally made the original game available so hunting the cartridge down is no longer the only legal way to play this game. ...A shame I don't have an Xbox One though.
Daluigi208 Oh, hey, you're one of the guys who ripped unreleased tracks from this game. There are still a few tracks that haven't been ripped yet and I was hoping to get in contact with one of the CBFD song rippers and tell them of these tracks. Seriously, if you guys thought you ripped everything, you're wrong - being someone who played the crap out of this game and having good ears, there are a few more tracks yet to be ripped.
+Sergeant Sunflower Any you can name? I am the one who uploaded the unused "Experimenting" track to CBFD to TCRF a couple of days before the prototype build that used it was found, but I also did an extensive soundtrack rip for the ffshrine forums that grabbed every bit of music that I know was used in the game, as well as unused (like a slightly shorter version of the cutscene music that plays when Marvin is murdered). If interested, I can directly link you to my rip in either FLAC or MP3. I'm pretty sure it has just about every single track in the game, though the ambiance tracks (such as the dung sounds and the Windy Graveyard) were purposefully not included because I don't really classify them as music. I should also add that my UA-cam uploads are horribly, horribly oudated. I am aware that contains a crapton of missing tracks and apologize for it.
+Daluigi208 Oh my god. I replied to you with the tracks I listed last week. What happened to it?! GOD DAMMIT, UA-cam, I WORKED REALLY HARD ON THAT REPLY!!!
You have two versions of CBFD, this is the N64 version but you also have the Xbox version. The Xbox version does have multiplayer but very very different.
Pause whenever Conker swings the sword to see him gritting his teeth like when he swings his Frying Pan and when he punches the button on the Haybot. XD
***** Yes, there is. Every shooter game you play; what button do you press to fire your weapon? RT. They made it bloody LT. After playing many shooter games, you'd be so used to using RT to shoot that if you played this game, you'd accidentally keep going into camera zoom mode by accident when you're trying to shoot. It wouldn't be a bloody problem if they made the crouch and shoot button RT and made the camera zoom mode LT.
I really wish i can pull all the WAV, MP3 files on this game from the multiplayer and use them on TF2 as hit sounds but it's fucking sad cause i fucking cat do that i don't even know how to do that but i am still looking and trying to find way to rip just one type of sound just one!! there is even a sound from Gears of war were you just finished and objective and you hear that awesome guitar strum right at the end i can't find that any were.....
Damn. It's the 64 version. I hoped that Rare Replay had the "updated" Conquer's Bad Fur Day on it. The 64 version's multiplayer was so bad and I've never played the new one.
I'm guessing this is just running on an n64 emulator? There seems to be a lot of slowdown, just as there was on the n64 version. That makes me quite sad, as the multiplayer is top notch. I was really hoping to see 60FPS, or even a solid 30...
Nico0020 Yeah this is super disappointing. I wanted to play 4-player super smooth 60fps. Why the hell didn't they boost the framerates of these games? So much disappointment; first Halo 5 no splitscreen and now this.
It's the same fucking game as before. They changed very little, and none of it was game changing. You can't expect everything to be perfect. As for halo 5, that was horrible.
Nico0020 This is rather strange indeed. The Xbox One should have a major advantage on N64 emulation than the Wii U in terms of stability, frame rate, audio output, and texture quality. Maybe Microsoft and Rare didn't have the know-how over how the N64 worked since the guys at Nintendo had all the knowledge of the N64 in and out, and because the companies are competitive rivals, it became a struggle for Microsoft and Rare to make N64 emulation possible on the Xbox One. The NES on the other hand, is child's play to any developer, but in Rare Replay's case the emulation's only flaw is constant flickering, which may be caused by having the picture displayed in a disproportionate resolution (screen is much wider than it should be) or poor refresh rate.
I have the feeling that this game will be released in NSO+ after Goldeneye and Jet Force Gemini's announce in the japanese service with a 18+ app (only them in the app, I don't think so)

This is the version on Rare Replay. It’s a port of the N64 game.

Itachi Uchiha i don't think you can play online... is the n64 version after all! :\

Yeeeesss I thought of that too that would be awesome
No buddy you get the n64 version the one he's playing in this video. The Xbox version could be added as DLC if people really wanted it
Gustavo Andrade I know that its the N64 version. But sometimes in a retro game some company puts a online

@@zevac how?
Does it control better? Were they refitted?

+comperko You know what I hate aside from the atrocious framerate? The crouch/fire button is LT. Freaking LT. Not RT

@@RoseSupreme Because LT is the Z Button while RT is the R Button on the original N64 version

Why does the multiplayer remind me of Happy Tree Friends more than the Story mode?
Ez
I've never expeirenced such horrible framerate on the actual n64 on multiplayer using only 2 PLAYERS!
This game is absolutely huge for n64 standards, it's lucky it can run this smoothly at all.
Lame 😒
I played It on 64 ... Dont understand all the hype ...
Some didn't and some loved it so much they want to replay it. Hence the name
why does it cost so much on ebay? its not like its even a good game

you can emulate conkers bad fur day with better fps by changing the plugins in the options menu

Wow, me and my cousin used to play this when we were kids. Always multiplayer just me and him. I used to enjoy running into the frying pan lol.

Can you make a video with the multiplayer character dialogue?
The game have fullscreen?
No full screen?! 😕
You can turn off the borders and then it won't really matter
