Your exasperation over the Wheel of Time was so entertaining as the viewer; your eyes were so wide open in frustration 😂 Jane Eyre is a personal favourite; a 11/10 if I could give it that, but I enjoyed hearing your thoughts on it. You have a magnificent view, and I enjoy your vlog format :) It looks so pretty and relaxing.
Always a joy to get a video from you! I've been feeling guilty for years that I DNFed The Wheel of Time, and I've kept thinking that I should give it another shot and really persevere this time. I think you just cured me of that. Thank you! 😄
Happy Sunday! I fell in love with your balcony and the view - such beautiful and serene spot for reading ❤ And, I totally understand you about Jane, I enjoy drama and even for me, the ending was a little over the top 😃 still, there are parts I can read over and over again :) :) I'm sorry that TWoT is letting you down currently, hope other books improve your reading month :)
Oh, thank you, Misa! ❤️ I was so lucky to get this apartment and it's actually the reason why I still live in this city 😂 But Jane Eyre - what a perfect book a rainy autumn weekend it would be! I am quite sorry I didn't keep it for then, but I know for sure I shall reread it, so whenever I do, it will be in autumn! 🍂🍁 (Also, so excited for fall!!!!) It was over the top but also, strangely level headed - Jane was so pragmatic, outwardly self-possessed, and so resolute! I liked her so much! Yeah, I still have hope for The Shadow Rising. More than half the book remains and those usually pick up at some point. Fingers crossed 🤞
@@libraryunbounded Your mentioning fall made me laugh 😂 It actually started to feel like autumn today where I live (first day really this year) - my view from the window changed from Anne's green garden to rainy and windy, foggy morning like in the The hound of Baskervilles - perhaps we could swap 🤣 Jane is one of my heroes and definitely great fall read 🥰 Fingers crossed 😉🍀
I found your channel thanks to BellTube. I loved this vlog!!! I haven’t read Wheel of Time, but I’ve heard many similar complaints. You live in a gorgeous location!
What a great Sunday 😊 I think I'm certain now that I will not be picking up The Wheel of Time. I've heard so many things about the series, and it is off-putting. Plus, I have so many other series I would like to get into instead. Happy Readings! 💜 Wishing you a wonderful week as well!
Thank you, Justyna! ❤️ Wheel of Time is a strange case. I really don't want to discourage people from picking things that are so well loved. but I simply can't pretend about it.
@@libraryunbounded Sometimes a person is not interested in a book that many others love, such is life lol. We are all different. 😆 That's the beautiful of having options.
❤📚🌊❤️ I would really love a whole day spent reading on your balcony! Kansas just doesn't have those views. 😅 I'm glad you finished Jane Eyre. The only Stephen King I have on my physical tbr right now is The Eyes of the Dragon. It's a 1987 publication and young adult. Have you read it. I keep putting other books ahead of it, even though ...dragons!!
Oh, Starla, you are so sweet! ❤️ And I'd love to have you here for a reading day (or more) on the balcony! Would be so much fun! 📚☕️🌅 I think I've told you though that I've dreamt of visiting Kansas ever since I read The Wizard of Oz - there's something about an endless field that fills my heart with joy and sense of freedom! 💖
Your thoughts on Shadow Rising 😂😂😂 I’m equally getting frustrated. I’m almost at the 50% part and we’ve finally moved away from the romance and deeper into the lore! I agree though that depending on my thoughts at the end of this book, I stop reading the series lol
Yes, I really liked the part with the city Rand and Mat entered and what Rand saw there - that's what I want to see more of! Hopefully it stays on this wave 🤞 (I also texted on Discord 😂)
I'm afraid Wheel of Time is not getting better from there. Lord of Chaos was actually a good book, but otherwise I struggled immensily with the topics that you felt frustraited about with the fourth book. I'm now on book 12 and I can see the effect of Sanderson on the characters and they are so much better now. But it has been a frustraiting journey for me to get this far.
That's exactly what I was afraid of, Jenny... I've been told that there is a chunk of the series they call the slog, but by the popular opinion, none of the early books are supposed to be a part of that. And I'm already this frustrated. But I also want to know what happens... 😂
@libraryunbounded I know that feeling! That's why I have been so stubborn and just pushed through 😆 I want to know how all of that ends. And to be fair, there are some really cool things going to happen in the slog books, but they are few and far apart 😄
@@jennitoikkanen3431 terrible business! Taking this amazing world and dressing it up in so much useless drivel (I was going to make a joke by elaborately describing the "attire" of the world, to be in tone with Jordan's writing, but I don't feel creative enough 😂) Fingers crossed I make it through 🤞
I am currently slogging my way through the 9th book of WoT. WoT is giving me major whiplash. The books are filled with infuriating main characters not doing too much with epic events sprinkled in. Lord of Choas has been the highlight for me, and since then, it has gotten so slow with the most frustrating characters as the main povs for the majority of the last 2 books. Then, when I want to throw the book out of the window into the river, something truly epic happens that catches my interest once again. I feel my thoughts on the series are a rollercoaster as well. I think if this series was edited to take out most of the boring parts that are not necessary to the story, then this series would be more unanimously loved by people who picked it up. The characters might be more likable as well. For me, I still think the series is worth it, but I also understand if you don't want to continue.
@@libraryunbounded there's a couple of us at least! But I've been trying to go on with thr series because it's so hyped, bht I can only do it over audio... At least I can increase the speed. Still, it's just because I'm stubborn, otherwise I wouldn't consider it worth it. I just finished Winter's Heart and do far it's much of the same.
@@nyxian_grid ah, I was told that until you hit Sanderson's chunk, those particular aspects don't get better... But I totally understand the stubborn desire to do the thing and finish the series. It's like the stupidest curse ever 😂(needless to say, I have it too)

Quick turnaround on this vlog. I need these to be longer so that I can hang out longer, parasocially speaking.
