- A light box makes it super easy to layer your applique pieces accurately - without needing to do any marking.
This is the lightbox you see me using in the video. it's 15.5 inches x 11.8 inches. amzn.to/3t3zGsx
This is the pressing sheet you see me using. amzn.to/35ctciB
I like your fabric choices for the snails shell 🐚
You can also use parchment paper (like you use for baking) instead of the pressing mat to iron the pieces together. That way you can have many designs prepared and only peel them off when you’re ready to press them down on the final project. This info is from Emily Taylor with “Collage Quilter”.
Hello Wendi, I learned so much from your video. Thank-you kindly for taking the time to share it.
Wendi I love this applique method using a light table. I own a light table already so I just need to purchase the silicone sheet. Hopefully that's in the description below? Assembling the pieces on the silicone sheet makes it so much easier. When doing intricate pieces like hummingbirds, flowers all kinds of things. Oh it's just wonderful looking forward to creating some of your quilt kits, that I've purchased already. Done this way thank you for this video.
So cool! Thanks a million for the demonstration! And the price of this light box is excellent! Thanks for sharing! 🌸🌺
And the snail,is super cute! 🌺
Having gardened for years in an area where snails were prolific I have to admit to a prejudice/bias against snails. However, that having been said......that's a beautiful snail.....especially with the polka dots!
Whaw. This is a fantastic idea. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you. It really helped. I purchased the lightbox and pressing sheet you had on your link. I was wondering what kind of fusible web you used. Thanks again. 😊
Good morning from the Canary Islands. First of all, thank you for your wonderful tutorial. I am new to this fabric appliqué thing. Could you tell me where I can buy the Sicona mat? Thank you very much. ❤️🌹
This is the one I use. amzn.to/3XiXtDH
Brilliant idea Wendi, Thankyou 😊 🌟
It might be a good idea to iron in stages instead of putting all the pieces on at once. Especially when there are a lot of small pieces.
Hi, do you have the snail pattern for sale? I could not find it. 🥰
HI Wendi Just found your channel and wow, I have been doing this the hard way. Can I ask, where you get your patterns with the layouts?
You can find all of them at www.shinyhappyworld.com/. Most of my older patterns don't have the light box instructions, but all the newer ones do. Check the product description to be sure. 🙂
@@WendiGratz thank you Wendi
