I love this! I've been trying to do a portrait of my sister and her late husband. I've been going freehand but it's not coming out to my satisfaction. I'm definitely going to try this!!
That's great! If you have any questions about using your lightbox, I have a Lightbox playlist here or just leave me a comment and I'd be happy to help. Have fun with your lightbox!
Loved your vidio, what a beautiful picture, I have just bought one of these and hope to have a lot of sketches of my grandchildren, well at least I hope so, one can only try, your obviously very talented, would love to see lots more xx
Thank you so much! The photo/picture means a lot to me now because the boxer in the photo passed away of old age last August so it is now a special keepsake artwork! I think sketching your grandchildren is a wonderful way to use your light box. I will definitely post more videos like this! Thank you for watching
So adorable! TFS:) I'm going to look through your vids to see if you give pointers on how you shade so well when tracing. Would like to see how you use your smudging paper sticks
By the way, I love your dog, laughed so much as you warned, that if we heard snorring, it was your frenchie that had taken up most of the chair behind you and snores a lot. 🤣🤣🤣 afterwards she peaked out from behind you - she is so adorable 🙏💕
Thats so amazing Jamie Leigh, do you seal it with anything, that the graphite doesnt smudge afterwards, or do you put them in a picture frame? I find the whole process just fantastic 👍🏻🙏💕
You can seal it or frame it! To frame, some artists do a traditional frame with glass, and some do a picture mat and cover it with a clear plastic protective sleeve. I like Krylon as a sealer - they have a matte finish spray that is non yellowing so it preserves the drawing. It’s available at hobby stores and even Walmart, I think.
Hello, I purchased this lightbox at Hobby Lobby. This one is from the brand Artograph LightTracer and I believe it is available from Joann Fabric and Walmart also.
Hi there, I am unsure of the answer to that since my particular lightbox is already an LED. Maybe the company has upgraded these to all LEDs now, since the lightbox is listed as “now illuminated by bright LEDs, “ and I don’t see florescent ones listed. My model is the Artograph Lighttracer LED Light Box model number 25365.
Hi, my lightbox uses an LED light and I have never noticed it getting heated up (and sometimes I have it on for 30 minutes or more). Not sure if other brands or styles would have this issue, but mine doesn’t! My lightbox is an Artograph.
You made one of the best videos on UA-cam

I COULD HAVE USED THIS WHEN I WAS IN 7th GRADE ART CLASS !!! OUR TEACHER MADE US TAPE OUR PICTURE TO THE WINDOW & TRACE IT WITH A SHEET OF PAPER. 🥴☺️😄

Ohhhh, we feel so sorry for you. Try to get some sleep. Today was a rough day for you.
I have the same light box. Do you know whether to change the fluorescent light bar into a LED one? If yes, which brand and model?
