Excellent homemade gifts for family and friends. Or as gifts for the mail man, your hairdresser, etc. I know my big thing is to give holiday cookies to my mail man, my hair stylist, the girl who does my nails, etc. However, this is a good replacement for cookies! I would rather make homestyle gifts for family and friends. It is much more thoughtful and can be easier on your wallet with the price of everything going up! Jill Gross
I was attacked in a soap making group for adding dehydrated oranges this past week because they will mold and I was apparently being irresponsible.😂I knew they would mold.I just wanted to see how they would look.Ugh lesson learned.
I"m curious, everything I have learned about melt and pour soap is that you can only use a few ingredients as additives, or they will eventually turn brown and moldy???? Don't your orange slices mold after awhile?? Thanks!
Hi, they came out beautiful, ❤ I have so many dried flowers and I was so excited to start using them but every video I see it tells me that flowers can’t be use in melt and pour soap only calendula because it will start to mold. Please help me with this I’m just starting to make soap. Thank you for sharing your beautiful video.
Hi Cory, they are gorgeous, thanks for sharing your idea. I have a question about the botanical I used, it’s discolored and becomes dark green, I don’t know why.
Thank you! Yes, most botanicals will change color in the soap over time due to the ph of the soap. Calendula petals work the best! Avoid lavender and rose as they will turn black and brown.
Hi A.B. you can use lemongrass essential oil, I would use that on on the calendula one. You can also use lemon essential oil. If you use orange essential oil on the orange slice one, it will give your soap and orange hue. Lavender is always a nice one in soap as well.
Hi! Please help! How was your soap base able to stay in liquid form so long..when i melt mines down it start getting stiff almost instantly. Is it that im heating up too much?
What temp do you heat the soap to? I haven’t made M&P soap in years (I’m a CP soaper). I know if the soap gets too hot it can sweat and have issues later on. Thanks.
Your soaps are just WOW😅 Exactly what I was looking for, thank you very much for this video. Is easy to understand, straight to the point and lots of useful informations. I have bought all (I think) indegrients to make my first soap and then I found your video, just perfect. I made some decorative candles and coasters for gifts for coming occasions, and I was hoping I can add some nice soaps. Thank you for sharing, I am going to watch your other videos (subscribed already). If I may ask two questions: can I add acrylic paint to soap base, can I use aromatic candles oil to soap base? Thank you😊
Absolutely beautiful! I thought I read somewhere that you can't use botanicals in melt n pour soaps because they will go rancid/mold. Can you shed some light on that, please? Thanks
Hi there, thank you! You can use botanicals in mp soap. The issue with this can be not all of them work great in mp soap. Some of them just turn brown or black. Like lavender, it turns black in mp and cp soap. The flowers used here will change color a little bit but not to a brown color.
Hi, new to soap making. Wondering how long the botanicals and oranges will last in the soap before they turn brown or mold? Thank you for the videos :) Lovely art
Hello! Thank you! The only botanical that won’t change is the calendula, it stays the same. All of the others start turning brown within a couple days. The orange slices last a little bit longer but they do change as well.
Theses are beautiful but do you find melt and pour lathers well. I tried one once but I could get much lather out of it so it put me off trying it again ❤
Thank you! I was thinking either a corrugated long rectangular box that you can fill with crinkle paper. Then wrap the box with a nice xmas bow or wrapping paper. Or a bakery box with a window
Hi. Thank you for your video. The soaps are gorgeous! I am very new to soap making. I'm only doing melt and pour right now just to get the feel of soap making before I start CP soap. I wanted to know if you have any other scent suggestions? if you are not to able to purchase those scents?
My first soap was a glycerin melt and pour... It turned out beautifully, but it was very drying even with oils added. I had an allergic reaction. It's hard to find a good quality melt and poor liquid soap. The soap base I bought had some poor ingredients, but even some of the organic ones on Amazon have poor ingredients... Suggestions?
How much eucalyptus essential oil should I used. I’m just using a she’s butter base and eucalyptus essential oil, I did one soap with small smoking of she’s butter and soap lathers but it makes skin rough why
@@SunshineSoapandCandleCompany thank you... I will check it out....your soaps are beautiful. I am Laura but use my hubbys name here. I want to try this with roses. Does white melt and pour soap also sweat like glycerine?
I'm mostly a cp soaper and I do dabble in m&p molding. I'm really not a lover of botanicals in soap. Don't do it. The botanically in these soaps will rot and create mold.

These are beautiful! Definitely going to give these a try. Great video!
Hi! In my experience, using dried flowers and fruit skins, as time goes by the soaps turn yellowish and spoil very quickly 🫤
The only one that lasts a little bit longer is the calendula but even this flower rusts with time 🫤
Can’t wait to try this one 🎉 and thanks for all the tips 💚😘❤️

Do I put dried flowers face down or face up before pouring in the soap base? I have daisies and other complete flower heads. They are not crushed.

I read a comment on another video that dried herbs/flowers cause mold. Is that correct? I love how that looks
Yes all this stuff will rot after time
@KD Matthews so best to not add any dried flowers right?
You are correct.
No adding dried flowers? About not adding those fake chemical oils she is using that are not even essential oils.
