    Thank you so much for sharing this information! My daughter is autistic and we found that her zinc levels were severely low. Her ND started her on the zinc supplement about a month ago. Praying that this helps her because she once was more outgoing and playful etc and now she has heightened anxiety, She can’t handle loud noises like vacuums or blenders etc and she’s more of a recluse. I’m afraid she will lose all of the developmental progress she’s made if he continues to go down hill! I really appreciate your channel because it’s helping to educate me about what’s going on with her! Thank you so much 😊

    I was vegetarian, had mold exposure, stress and covid got me hard in feb 2020.
    I started the flccc protocol in my quest to heal myself.
    I see now way zinc is so important!
    Anecdotal, after covid, I know lots of people getting depressed, suicidal, paranoid, short term memories problems, etc...

    I'm a 43 year old male on trt (for 17 years) and i tried this Morley Robbins protocol for 6 months because i was taking 50mg of zinc a day for over 20 years and those fear mongering video's about copper made me do this and i regret it because i felt awesome each day before this . I felt good for about 2 weeks and then It litarally annihilated my libido, muscles, hair, skin, mindset. i never ever had anxiety in my whole life untill i started tis protocol. Couldn't even tolerate a single cup of coffee anymore, i got soar muscles, stuffed nose, nauseau, shortness of breath, muscle weakness, extreme depressed/fatigued and was extreme wheepy like a girl watching a sad movie. Looks like i aged 10 years in 6 months. it was plain awefull. I thought i was going through some detox or something so i kept taking it. After 6 months i HAD to stop because i was bout to kill myself. I felt THAT bad.. Took me MONTHS to feel better again. I can't believe this will not backfire at you after a while.. I messed me up so bad you can't even imagine. I got tested for wilsons but came back negative and my blood copper was high end but not too much and my zinc was borderline low. Started taking zinc again like a did for 20 years but ofcourse that made me suddenly dead ill... Could not tolerate even 7.5mg... Horrible horrible experience

      Thank you for commenting. It does sound like an awful experience. I'm curious what your protocol consisted of. The ranges for plasma zinc and serum copper that we use (from a Walsh perspective) are tighter than the normal lab ranges, which makes me wonder if from a Walsh perspective your copper was high and zinc low on those more recent labs you referenced. Thank you for sharing your experience with this. I'm sorry you went through this.

    i am trying a liquid zinc sulfate supplement at the moment, i have been dealing with bad anxiety since 3 years and i have the feeling that i am a bit calmer taking zinc even in a very low dose. I have only been taking it a couple of days so i have to take it a bit longer to know if it realy helps my anxiety. I have also been using magnesium chloride oil on the body also amazing because being anxious depletes magnesium ofcourse.

    Thank your this informative video.
    When your zinc level is low, how long does it take to restore a healthy level of zinc by supplementing. After a heavy EBV infection I have the feeling I need more Zinc than a healthy person. Is there such a thing like higher Dosis for people with infection, autoimmune diseases, etc… Thank you lot again

    • @courtneysnydermd-holisticp3072
      @courtneysnydermd-holisticp3072  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi. You're welcome. It really depends on how low the level is and how sensitive someone is. Usually I am working someone's zinc up over 3-4 weeks. For myself personally, it took about 8 months as I was highly reactive from mast cell activation. This is very unusual, however. Once someone is on a set dose, it takes four weeks for the level to stabilize. Separately, if someone has pyrroles, which can draw zinc down when they are under stress (emotional or physiologic), then we will sometimes do stress dosing where we bump up the dose for about 10 days.

    Dear Courtney, my son of 18 is autistic and overmethylates . I discovered after he reacted very badly on certain medicine the doctors gave him to calm his body. I then discovered dr. Whal’s and his explanation on zinc deficiency/overmethylation and violence. Last year we went through very violent spells. I slowly introduce zinc and little by little his body calmed down. We recently did a urinalysis for copper and the result is 12. That is low. When I look at his nails I can see that he definitely needs zinc every day. Currently he get 12,5 mg in the morning and 12,5mg at night. He doesn’t want us to take blood tests. So I can’t tell his serum/plasma levels. He is stable again and is now a very lovely and pleasant boy that is stable and sleeping.
    Should I give him more copper rich food? Or a copper supplement?

    • @courtneysnydermd-holisticp3072
      @courtneysnydermd-holisticp3072  4 місяці тому

      Hello. I'm unable to give treatment recommendations without having done an evaluation. I don't use urinalysis to measure copper, so I'm unsure how low a result of 12 is. Usually, if someone's copper is very low (by serum copper) , I avoid giving copper supplementation until I have ruled out Wilson's disease. This is a rare condition, but if someone has it, I would not give copper supplementation. Thank you for commenting.

  • @arnold5893
    @arnold5893 9 місяців тому +1

    I am guessing you don't recommend taking any copper with zinc? I feel better when taking high zinc, while copper overloads my liver more than 2 mg per day.

    • @courtneysnydermd-holisticp3072
      @courtneysnydermd-holisticp3072  9 місяців тому +4

      Usually I am not giving copper with zinc. Most of the people that I see have high copper or high percent free copper. On the infrequent occasion when someone's copper is especially low, I will first rule out Wilson's Disease to the best I can (24 hour urine and a slit lamp exam) before giving copper.

    • @courtneysnydermd-holisticp3072
      @courtneysnydermd-holisticp3072  Рік тому +4

      Yes. Zinc is needed for metallothionenes to work effectively. These proteins are important in preventing heavy metal toxicity and in keeping our copper levels in check. If we are low in zinc, that could would raise our susceptibility to heavy metal s (and thus lead) and high copper.
