- Fred Flintstone's (John Goodman) morning kicks off with a lively jolt from his stone-age alarm clock, followed by a whirlwind of animal-based amenities. Not forgetting, of course, his bronto-sized breakfast whipped up by Wilma! (Elizabeth Perkins)
The Flintstones (1994): Make way for the modern Stone Age family as they make the jump from animated favorites to live-action heroes! There's trouble brewing in Bedrock: a test mix-up has made Fred Flintstone (John Goodman) a vice president at Slate & Company, and now an evil executive (Kyle MacLachlan) and his sinister secretary (Halle Berry) are plotting to use Fred as the fall guy in an embezzlement scheme. Luckily for Fred, his best friend Barney Rubble (Rick Moranis), wife Wilma (Elizabeth Perkins) and her best friend Betty (Rosie O'Donnell) always have the big guy's back in this yabba-dabba-doo of an adventure! Elizabeth Taylor co-stars in the "Steven Spielrock" production filled with dino-sized special effects and classic Flintstones humor.

John Goodman really was the perfect choice for live action Fred flintstone.
John Goodman was perfect, Rick Moranis was fun too.
Casting Rosie O'Donnell was their mistake. Betty should have been played Tracy Ullman or Jennifer Tilly.
@@Da_Benskitrue that!
John Goodman was Steven Spielberg’s first and only choice to play Fred Flintstone. If Goodman didn’t get the role or turned it down, the film might not have even been made at all.
I don’t think anyone could’ve done Fred better than John did.
Couldn't agree more
This movie was honestly the best live-action representation of a cartoon series. To this day it STILL impresses me how they filmed it.
Maybe it was perfect because disney didn’t touch it lol
It wasn't, it kind of sucked.
@@iaincowell9747LoL
....once upon a time Jewllywood were capable to do quality movies. NSince at least a decaded there is a complete lack of this, new ideas..and such a thing.
@@iaincowell9747the best we can do
One thing I like about this movie is that the place feels like one big theme park, kudos to the set designers going all in.
Fr
Kudos to everybody that says kudos. Maybe even mad props.
When I was younger I thought this movie was very corny and dumb. Now that I'm grown, and seen how Hollywood 'reimagines' movies these days, I can appreciate a lot better how dedicated to the source material this movie was. Everything from the casting to the set design, feels to me like they were truly trying to make a Flintstones movie.
I totally agree. And to be honest, maybe this should be a golden standard across all movie adaptations: be for the kids AND the fans who enjoy the source material. (Minecraft movie take notes)
Yes! With practical effects too and didn’t require such High budget
They would have recruited negroes according to quotas right now.
The pracitcal effects and puppetry in this movie was wonderful. I loved this movie as a kid
It really does stand the test of time, they really did nail the look
1:01
Thanks to this movie, I literally do this every week when I shave.
XD
Better than most of those CGI Films...Made With passion
“Mid East negotiations break down.” Dang, every universe
In the comic book they show how wars are in the flintstone universe
@@joserobertosolismerlin5527They have wars?
Four soldiers walking a tank
This movie came out in 1994 a year before I was born and i was only able to watch it years after and I loved everything about this movie I was in awe how they were able to make the live-action cartoon movie...CLASSIC MASTERPIECE❤
Oh come on! You broke my "rock paper news"
What I read now while I take my coffee? XDDD
I love when John Goodman does the same voice like Sully from “Monsters Inc” (2001) 😂❤
Because he's Sully. ❤❤
I mean, he's not really doing a "voice", it's just how he sounds
Except this is seven years before Monsters Inc
@@Majin_Dabura Exactly 👍
That’s kind of like an Inside Joke 🤣
1:46 Even the mammoth likes it.
Snazzy
The fridges in the Flintstones movie remind me a lot of the Hungry Jacks ones I used to work in. The fridges there are huge.
The remind me of the ones at McDonald's they're big too
The very first Flintstone size Fridgedare
A walk in refrigerator. Most restaurants have them.
@@philipmarable8698I used to work at a college cafeteria, and we had two of them.
0:05 good god my humor is broken
Liz Perkins was absolutely stunning in this. She matched Halle Berry and that’s saying something
My thoughts as well
Halle Berry was pretty unmatchable back in those days, the only woman who could send her to the second place was Cameron Diaz in the mask 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@pepingrillin3995 Salma Hayek. That is all
The wardrobes the sets, the cinematography is absolutely fantastic.
0:58 i can't stop Laughing when he says HEY!
1:07 That is one big Refrigerator, man! 😱
Regrigerator? That's a whole Walk-In!
Every market store has one.
0:36 Who would have that as an alarm clock?⏰😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well, what did you think an alarm clock from a modern stone age family environment would look like?
I will woke up in the time with big huge pain in my head
Just another morning for Mr Vice President.
Loved its cartoon series. Precious memories!.
That papper boy would have to be ripped. Imagine cartong hundreds of rocks that size.
forget that i was that big wheel. XD
That's Arnold for you. And that's the name of the paperboy in the show
You've seen how strong Bamm-Bamm is.
I wish they referenced that in the show. @@TKnHappyNess

This is probably the best live action cartoon adaptation I have
Fred Flintstone cartoon days were my best childhood days in my life. Now i hate the adult phase. Not a happy life. I miss those days i run from school in the evening to watch Flintstones, poppeye, Dragon ball, swat catz, tom n jerry and many more. Thanks for this video.
0:57 Dino drinking out of the toilet 🚽!!! 😂🤣🤣!!!!!
HEY!
The way Fred barks "HEY!!" is priceless!
0:56 😬 HEY!
This was the movie that first introduced me to John Goodman. So, growing up, i was very surprised and honestly not used to seeing him in more serious roles where he doesn’t act all goofy.
Idk why but out of all their gadgets , I am fascinated by the live trimmer the most 🐊
I love The Flintstones!
This is a comedic gem.
This is actually how humans used to live with dinosaurs after the Fall in the Garden of Eden.
Some would say Dinosaurs are the Fallen or the Nephilim
Based
Based on what?
Based on the Bible
@@Joshua-dc1bs Saw an interesting video saying dinos are the behmoths and leviathan
I still can't believe this movie was this good and it took me forever to see it.
even the curtains move when he snores :'D
such a classic.
Absolutely loved this movie growing up!
I would like to watch this movie over and over again😊
The attention to detail in this live action film really was something special
Man I was a kid when this came out

This set was amazing!!
Mannn I loved this movie😂
0:12 A cartoon version from the original The Flintstones
This was great casting
Very surprised to see such a creative film made back in the day. Writing this in 2024
I remember watching that film in the cinema as a child :D
I didn't really watch the cartoon growing up but just by this small clip I can see how fun they made the movie.
Nice bed side lamps.
Perfect finally music
Being an actor in this must have been great fun
Fred: Today’s The Day!
the sets back then were so good
John Goodman is the best Fred Flintstone in live action.
😂glad I went to the cinema to watch this as a kid
The kid throwing the stone plate and it immediately shattering got an actual laugh out of me
God, movies in the 90s, when so much love and care went into the sets
compared to family friendly movies today this is such a gem. People just put so much more effort into details back then.
John Goodman was born to be live-action Fred.
Great cast
They don’t make movie like this anymore.
A very simple and feel good movie.
One hell of an Alarm Clock😂 rock falling on your head
that newspaper breaking took me out
The "alarm clock" is on point LOL
I miss this movie! I gotta rewatch it soon
John Goodman was an incredible casting choice!
Almost makes me want to watch it again lol
Such a great Movie
this movie taught me never to sign anything without reading it at the age of 4
Good to see headlines haven't changed in 30 years.
To think this was made in 1994 still blows my mind 🤯
John is a great actor ❤
ULTIMATE all time crush
Still the best live action adaptation of all time
Love it.😊
The obligatory "Grand Dad? FLEENSTONES?" message
Casting was perfect.
that news stone shattered on the door always cracks me up
I love the cavemen props.🤩
Never forget Fred Flinstone is really a mob boss using construction as a front
This old cartoon live action movie looks pretty good. Practical effects.
I love Mark Addy, but John Goodman will always be the real live action Fred Flintstone for me.
So deep in the Stone Age that not even wood existed
James p Sullivan is getting ready for another good 😊 day
Video recommended 4 times
Suppose I’ll watch it
I loved this when I was a kid
My ultimate favourite ❤
My childhood
I never understood what the mammoth said when Fred was showing off his clothes as a kid. Just thought it was belching or something. This movie was great!
I honestly forgot how good this movie was
I remember watching this movie all the time when I was a kid👍
I used to have this on VHS. I should watch this again.
good old days.
Live actions will never be the same again
I love this movie ❤
#DisneyDiva ❤
Está película sigue sorprendiendo todavía, estaba re bien hecha y toda tradicional sin fondo verde. Hasta el CGI de Dino se veía muy realista al estar hecho por los mismos de Jurassic Park.
I really need to watch this movie again.
Good morning, Mr. Vice-president.
Good morning, Mrs. Vice-president.
Rhis was one of my faves as a kid, as corny as some folks saw this movie. Nearly wore the tape out altogether
