So gallant to see Norman carry Alison's books, there are no more men who carry their girls books, very charming gesture we do not see anymore, pray for real transformation in the young generation
After disliking Dr. Morton for so many episodes I'm surprised that I'm now beginning to like him! Hope he and Mike Rossi can become colleagues in the future. And I really enjoy the relationship between Allison & Norman; it's almost like brother and sister, if he'd just get over his crush.
Modguy61 That moment is a credit to both the writers and the actors. It would be easy to have written Dr. Morton as a one-dimensional villain, but like most all of us, he's a complicated human being. This is one of the many touches that makes "Peyton Place" stand out from nighttime *and* daytime soap operas, and frankly from other dramas.
What a dialog between Dr. Rossi and Dr. Morton ending with Morton's monolog: "Medicine is not a game: a ball to be slapped back and forth across a net of out own egotism. It's WORK - of the most exacting enlightened kind."

As a matter of fact, I'm surprised that the PC people haven't fought to try and force them from being shown on all those retro channels.
+James D. Lethgo I totally agree, James. The writing, acting, direction and production were top-notch for its time, not to mention the fact that some newer shows could take a few pointers from "Peyton Place".
Shows from the mid 60's were trying to diversify a bit, as there'd be episodes where a black man was a police officer, doctor, lawyer, or some other professional. (I remember seeing a show where the judge was black.) Black women, however, almost always seemed to be housekeepers.
But those are token roles. They were Never main characters. Neither were Latinos. Just manual laborers filling out the set, or housekeepers, like Mrs Salazar at the Mackenzies' house. Things are slightly better now
I can use this as a reminder not to beg anyone for attention. Yes. Not to do it. Laura needs to stop doing this NOW. We know this is only a story, a TV Series. But it is a writing prompt. Integrity is as much a part if the skills of a doctor as skill and knowledge.

@@musicalme27 Definitely..reminds me of how better dressed and well-mannered people were back then...I want my world back.😂❤️
Use to watch it on TV those days. Tried not to miss the episodes. Loved Dorothy Malone, Mia Farrow and Barbara Parkins in it.
wow, I've been binge-watching this for days! Still pretty cool. Can't look away...
+miapdx miapdx Well, enjoy it! It was a great series. :-)
Binging too...LOL !!! Loved this as a kid in 1964-69 !!!
Me too! Thanks so much for posting. I never watched soaps in the time as I was too busy. I really appreciate your efforts.
Again, many thanks.

Me too. Can’t stop. Brings back childhood memories when it was a series.
The admitting of Dr. Morton was helpful.
It will be a good driver toward new things.
Dr. Morton's heart, like the Grinch, grew 2 sizes in this episode.
thank goodness. I was really hating him.
Ugh! Just go away, Laura. He isn't interested.
Laura needs to stop throwing herself at Dr Rossi. That’s pathetic.
Dr. Morton has some decency after all.

Azalea..yes Morton was an SOB but Bradley was the real villain here along with the rotten Les who wanted to cover it up.

I keep hearing the characters saying ortopsy. It is autopsy.
Mr. Robert Morton drives an Imperial Le Baron (2949 made), but Leslie Harrington drives a lower-rank Imperial Crown (14181 made).
The hairdos make the women look older than they are. Julie, Connie, Laura, even Betty.
Conflict resolution!

Why does Laura seem much older than Dr. Rossi? Can't put my finger on it but she does.
Why were/are men comfortable with wearing those 'caterpillars' for eyebrows! Why didn't they trim them down?
Those brows are like door mats.
Those bushy brows were like sun visors. They shaded their eyes!
