As much as George is a character to dislike, the actor who portrays him is amazing. The passion he puts into being the town drunk/monster is incredible. Poor Allison always morose. The cast is so good!
I don't think George is Worse than anyone else. His Flaws are just more obvious. He's more Pitiful than evil. Did I just hear the name JP Morgan while I was typing this❓😂😅🤣❣️
I adore the snowy scenes and the little city circle. I'd be eternally happy living above the bookstore. A bonus would be having a clawfoot tub and fresh donuts down the street! Charming town scenery, fake snow or not!
i don't remember exactly when, but this was during the time when PP was on three nights a week: Tuesday, Thursday *and* Friday - then reverted back to twice weekly in the fall of 1965....
The definition of "secret" is: Not meant to be seen or known. No one seems to know that meaning. Everyone wants to know everyone else's secrets. Nosy town full of people. Unless, of course, THEY have a secret of their own.
It is rare indeed when a "son" looks almost older than the "father." Tim O'Connor looked at least twenty years older than his real chronological age and almost older than Frank Ferguson, who placed his father.
Rod is irritating. He is still married he injured Betty and was responsible for the baby dying and is now toying with Allison. Someone should belt him.
Yes, the accident was his fault, but that's what it was...an accident. As much as I like Betty, she was wrong to trick Rodney into marriage. How can anyone blame him for being upset. She knew Rodney didn't love her. They didn't have a real marriage. Now, she takes off and no one knows where she is. Rodney has always cared for Allison. Of course he's going to want to see her. Stop expecting him to be perfect.
@@suki44883 Agree! Rodney didn't deliberately and with malice wreck his car! Betty on the other hand deliberately lied and deceived him. I wouldn't trust her as far as I could pick her up and throw her. Now she took a hissy fit and took off to New York. Let her stew in her own soup! She better remember that Rod won't really trust her anymore no matter what she says.
This show was supposed to be scandalous in it's day Mia Farrow married Woody Allen and he turned around and married their adopted daughter you talk about sick

Love the actor playing George, great job and funny 😊

Elliot's scene on the bandstand with George is excellent. Elliot realizes that even though he spent 18 years in prison, George is in much worse shape.
all clever and beautiful stars , I love to watch all the episodes.
This show made me want to visit Boston and New England . Love the area
Betty- the bus- the snow
Elliot- the bus- the snow
Great images both!
Poor Mia - never smiles........like her world is at an end at the ripe old age of 17
I can't believe she married Woody Allen and then he married their child
Mia and Woody never got married. They lived together for twelve years and adopted two children and had one biological child.
I've always thought she's a weirdo, Woody and Sinatra, ugh.

Does anyone ever say goodbye in PP? They say what they need to say & just walk away…
I had completely forgotten about George barricading himself until he started doing it. Then it came back to me after all these years.

Interesting analogy, of course, spot on!

Spending 18 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit can do that to a guy, I guess.
Stacks of pancakes and bacon for breakfast, and it wasn't even a special occasion. How do they stay slim?!
No smart phones or computers to keep you in one place! Most everyone was active back then.
The beginning of the end for George
+Peter Orleman George could always go back to his old job
He sure is a wonderful actor.
But I kind of love George. If he didn’t beat his wife……
I did love you Betty. I did love you Allison. Rodney told them both the same thing😮
Reckless Rodney! What a heart breaker! 😏🌹

I disagree on this @Suki. Him and Betty would still be together if he hadn't caught his dad and Betty's mom kissing.
Poor Connie must throw out a lot of food. Nobody ever eats her food.....
That's what I was thinking. Never a bite.
Sweet love story❤️
Do you mean Allison and Rodney ? I love these two, Chemistry !
That’s right it was on three times a week that was great we had gym three times a week n we’d talk about it cool stuff for 14 yr old girls
Poor George is really losing it this time!! Henry Beckman does some great acting here! And I'm hooked on Allison/Rodney love story :-) :-)
during the 1965-66 season, Henry Beckman played Capt. Binghampton foil Colonel Harrigan on ''McHale's Navy'..from Harrington to Harrigan..hm.......
Poor George? Really?
Yes, really. He's suffering from untreated PTSD and self-medicating with alcohol.
@@suki44883 Beckman's performance is truly remarkable!
@@Modguy61 Yes, he was a great actor.
Doesnt seem the same without ted carter and selena cross
poor george

she was not his adopted daughter
Who thumbs down Peyton Place ?
