Daemon is such a troll, I love him. Stealing an egg, specifically the one Rhaenyra picked out for the baby, sending a letter with every triggering idea he could think up including lying about getting married and having a baby, just for some attention. And then immediately folds because Rhaenyra calls his bluff immediately and is like "I know you're a lying liar who lies, and since we both know there's no way you're gonna kill me you better stop acting out!" is just gold. No. He did all that for Rhaenyra. He wants to marry her at some point or whatever. He won't kill her, he did all that attention thing, chose the egg SHE picked because he knew she would have some say and I would give the egg back which is a power move if you're planning something and boy oh boy, Daemon is planning something hardcore.
I love the way they are subtly portraying that the underlying core of Daemon’s character is that he loves his family, and I think Rhaenyra understands him better than anyone else, and for all of his posturing, I think she still knows that she can trust her uncle, they have a similar banter about him staying in her castle that they had about him sitting on the throne. I think Daemon’s line at the end of the episode is the most telling for his true character, and his sense of honour and loyalty, the king is his brother and so he can speak about him however he wants to, but don’t think that means you get to cross those lines in front of him.

Using the GOT theme is a smart move because it would be very difficult to beat it, so any other theme Ramin created, people would compare it to the old one. I understand why some people wanted a new theme, but no one dislikes GOT's opening song.
I’m confused. You have Daemon before Aemma and baby Baelon, the Heir for a Day. Perhaps you meant Aemon, but he died before Baelon, father of Viserys, so I’m not sure the died in order part works? ah... king viserys is (unfortunately) very relatable lol you know what you should do. it's pretty cut and dry and even beneficial if you choose that path.... you "follow your heart" and make everything more difficult for yourself hahaha
Man Better Call Saul and this are the two things i’m most exited to watch. Thank god this is more similar to Game of Thrones season 1-4 level quality. D&D not being involved definitely was a good choice seeing as how they showed their incompetence once they ran out of books. Hopefully this show won’t go past what George RR Martin wrote since him being involved always makes the adaptation better. Also I love that Matt Smith and Rhys Ifans are in this show. This will definitely propell them to become much more known. Matt Smith is so fucking good as Daemon. He’s probably the most sympathetic antagonist in Game of Thrones since Jaimie.
Otto played the game so well. He knows the King really well. He knows that he's a sensitive man, so he sent his daughter to the King to comfort him so that the King may actually develop feelings for her. Lord Corlys sent his daughter to the King for marriage but he sold it something more like a duty. Of course Viserys would choose the comfort that Alicent offered, especially since his wife just passed.
Otto also knew Vicerys and Daemon would have probably ended their conflict if they met face to face. That's why he didn't let the king go to Dragonstone.

So we'll be seeing multiple actors playing the same characters as they age. I haven't read Fire & Blood yet but I've been told that it's more of a history book than a regular novel.
@@AndrewSnarls yeah the trailers and other promotional stuff already revealed this. Emma Darcy and Olivia Cooke play the older version and they have been prominently featured in the interviews.
@@AndrewSnarls still would've been nice to find out as we watch the show, not in a comment section. Even as a warning, it's like saying don't get attached to Ned stark because the behead him.
@@prathapkutty7407 some of us don't watch the interviews religiously lol we just wanna enjoy the show for what it is without having it explained to us, figuring it out on our own. Makes the show that much more exciting and enjoyable. But I know, it's my fault too for watching reactions/review & comments.
Vyseris is not as old as the actor. In the books he’s 29 at this point but considering Rhaneyra was aged from 10 to 15 from the books u could place him in late 30s to early 40s
@14:25 - @14:40 🤦♀️
Ok so, 🤷♀️😅idk why exactly it did…but HOLY SHIT that was absolutely freaking hilarious my dudes! Like seriously tho…I actually just ended up having to pause the video and go back a bit as I was unable to watch &/or even listen for at least 30+ seconds after that, because I legitimately could not stop laughing ffs! 😂🤣
That was amazing btw…I freaking love it 😉👍 thanks for that one my dudes❣️
Btw…I meant to also say that out of that whole thing, I think that the best part is
John’s; “She was like, kill me now, and then He’s like…well fine take the egg” and then the; “then he just walked inside like a Bitch!”
😅👍
It’s her freaking world and we just Live In It 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥episode 2 was lit
Caraxes is gonna have barbecued crab!!!! 🦀 🦀 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🐲🐲🐲
Alicent, at least in ASOIAF lore, is like 9 years older than Rhaenyra. So she would be into her twenties by the time she actually marries Viserys I.
They aged up Rhaenyra up for the show, and Alicent was 18 when she married Viserys in the books, Viserys was in his late twenties
I am listening to this while working in a project and when I heard Mysaria speak she sounded like Tysha in GOT
Y’all remember Dumbledore’s finger .. shall we review how that went 😂
Seven hells that was a quick edit!
17:00 battle lines are drawn
Great job covering this show,,, Game of thrones and House of the Dragons are my fororite shows ever.. i get goose bumps watching....
Thanks for showing what you’re reacting to and being like one of the 8 that do that and not try to just force themselves on us
It's is said that the Throne cuts those not worry. I have that in mind with the the King getting cut and getting infected. I got a feeling, he's not making out of this season. (Haven't read the Fire & Blood)
Lol he does of old age later on
I agree, for it moving fast as with the time jumps it does NOT feel rushed at all. The pacing to this show is just so seamless 🥹
Really enjoy the episode
ah... king viserys is (unfortunately) very relatable lol you know what you should do. it's pretty cut and dry and even beneficial if you choose that path.... you "follow your heart" and make everything more difficult for yourself hahaha
SNL should do a parody of this episode with Chris Hansen. FR.
I am starting to see lot of things from the ways of the characters as the show progress and Daemon is so unpredictable and I just loves his character.
I love this show and you guys are fast with uploading reactions .Great
Episode 3 tonight hype!
Thanks guys for posting this quickly! 😃👍🏼
Them using the same music for the title sequence was a fairly gutsy move lol but I like it
Rhaenys is pronounced rae-niece
Never before a marriage proposal had a reaction like that from you two😀😀😀
OMG this was so fast!
How the hell are y’all so early? Did you get early screeners? If you did how many episodes?
The egg was drogon
Two great episodes so far! Can't wait for next Sunday!
15:40 I literally said the same thing when I watched the episode. First thing that came to mind was Mufasa.
Its cold burn he has.
Ray-knees (Rhaenys) 👌 this was a great review y’all
Otto played the game so well.
It's a new pinky LOL
“It’s a new pinky” 🤣🤣
So I am the only one that is noticing that Matt Smith's voice sounds awfully like Iwan Rheon who played Ramsay Bolton?
I assume that someone has poisoned the iron throne. I wonder who it was?
Chaos is Coming!!!! Not little finger...
Hey, fellas!!! Fancy meeting you here!!!😆😆
No matter how good they make this prequel, it doesnt change the fact that it will end up with "muh queen!"
This episode of scheming & vying to be the King's next wife gave me The Tudors vibes lol
The Laena / Viserys scene was definitely uncomfortable
Loving the show so far.
Rhaenyra is so awesome dude
daemon was barely in the episode, yet you feel the full weight of his threat with every maneuvering other characters make
I got to Subscribe to HBO Max today
