I also feel that all of the museums of the world should return all the stolen & appropriated items to the country & site where they came from.
There was a long debate over decades by the Greek ex film actress Melina Mercouri ( sorry about spelling) who pleaded for decades to the British government & antiquities authorities to return what are lnown as The Elgin Marbles
( named after the Lord Elgin who stole the Marble statues & friezes from Greece in Victorian era)
Sadly she was denied this request!
It was the privileged few from aristocratic British families who styled themselves as explorers etc & marched into countries demanding access to the national treasures & ended up splashing cash around to desparately poor people to lead them to Archeological sites & objects
They shipped these item back to Britain or America in the 1800s
Leaving these important sites devoid of the treasures stolen by these arrogant explorers.
Museums & other store houses of accumulated treasures will not return them to the rightful country because they make too much money from using them as exhibits.
People from all over the world visit The British Museum of History to see items of vital importance to the country of origin.
What should be done is, the disputed items should be copied by artisans etc so that a almost perfect copy is displayed in the museums but the origional is given back to the country it was taken from.
The old chestnut about keeping these items safe is rubbish!
The majority of them were in situ for hundreds & thousands of years, safe & looked after by the country of origin
    UNTIL...
They were stolen by self styled explorers & Egyptologists etc & taken as if by right & shipped back to Uk or USA.
I doubt there will be any change
In returning antiquities to their original home!
The vaults of so many museums & places like the Smithsonian have so much treasure still boxed up & left to rot!
Its a tragedy, its immoral & very wrong.
    Thanks
    🇬🇧👧

All antiquities belong to all peoples. If everyone's ancestors originated in the same location then the remains of those ancestors belong to us all. Also take the last " great migration " that occurred in north America for example, multiple native American tribes migrated from Canada into several states in what is now the u.s.a. in modern times they claim to have ancestral rights to the land they currently inhabit and basically everything old in the region. Who inhabited that very land before they moved into it? Many encountered wars and took that land from the tribes which were truly native to that land. And even before that tribe existed the denosovans inhabited that region and before them there were others. Humankind owns everything equally.

Queen Nefertiti and king Akhenaton fathered a daughter, her name was Ankhesenpaaten which would later be called Scotia/Danna of Irish faiths. She founded Scotland and Ireland. And is worshipped there still. The bloodline of Amen. It’s speculated that Amenhotep the first is God Amun. Or the obelisk, and speculated further that the bloodline of David in the Bible is actually Amenhotep and king Akhenaten, who is Amenhotep the third. Is the royal bloodline that eventually fathered Christ Jesus, and Christ was against the old worship of man/god/kings and worshipped the King in heaven. For which he was murdered. And appears to be “possibly” fathered by Julius Caesar an Cleopatra. This is speculation, but it certainly parallels perfectly with the Bible and history. It’s just appears they changed the names probably to hide from religious persecution. Just thought I’d tell you that. I believe king Akhenaten wanted the same thing Christ wanted, and proposed monotheism prior to Christ, which eventually lead into Christ teachings. Bless you 🙏 that’s just food for thought, but it will take you a long way.

Interesting stuff, keep up the good work! On the subject of Arctic dinosaurs, the region may not have been polar when the dinosaurs lived there. There are, apparently, ancient Chinese texts which suggest that the position of the sunrise has moved 6 times so far. Also, just north of the Arctic Circle, is a Russian island supposedly made almost entirely of tropical (ish) trees & animal bones. I don't remember its name, but it used to be a major source of mammoth ivory. If it's true, who knows what latitude they used to be.

I would love to have the money to be able to set aside one acre of my land to being a pet cemetery. It is mostly gravel and not all dirt. So digging into the ground would not be a problem. I only need the money so I can add a nice building , buy the small tractor to help dig, and lay a few trees down. Plus, I need the money to get the permits that is needed. And anything else. In Germany where i was born the graves there are so pretty by the families taking care of the small plots. They put flowers and bonsai on them. I live in Mississippi now because of inheriting land from my father. If anyone wants to donate money to help me out please reply.

My opinion is that there are three criteria for a planet. If it has moons, is of a size that creates it's own gravity and has an atmosphere (regardless of chemical composition). If it has two or more of these crietria then it's a planet. Ergo, Pluto is a planet. As for the noodles, they were first imported from China before the grain was imported and grown in Europe. It's a historical fact.

I even thought of being an Egyptologist when l was in gradeschool based on artifacts in the Cleveland Museum of Art in Ohio. The wow factor of an exhibit is all some of us will get. A great compliment for spelling at least Spanish the right way, unlike the majority of your fellow YTers, who manage to chew down every foreign language. I can hardly imagine how English speaking scholars dared to sqeeze even Latin and Greek, the established languages of western science and diplomacy for centuries, into parodies of sometimes uncomprehendable format, when spoken. This is why I appreciate your little revolution at least in Spanish. Above all that I want to thank You for using the name Odysseus, the Greek variant instead of the Latin Ulixes.

On Pluto it's a planet, and all planets are just really BIG rocks, with smaller rocks (sometimes) all around? Why is this so difficult, semantics.

Actually, the only reason the "cradle of humanity" was in Africa was that the entire population was devastated to only a few thousand humans left.. the only places liveable were the equatorial regions of Africa.. There's evidence of an extincion level event responsible for nearly wiping us out. There's been signs of human habitation in other parts of the world before the cataclysm, though, just like this one in the first clip.

Ive always thought that many of the Greek scholars studied extensively at the great library in Alexandria in Eygpt!
According to many Greek writers confirmed this by saying it was customary for any Greek students to comb this library esp studying ancient ( even by their standards) texts!
This is most likely how many Greeks that we credit with great discoveries had pilfered their knowledge from pre existing work by older cultures such as Babylonian, Sumarian & Assyrian
In a way its providential they did this, considering the destruction of the library at Alexandria!
I often think what amazing discoveries were lost when all the most ancient texts were perished in the fire!
So much about humanities past what was achieved & discovered
The history of long past civilisations prior to our own.
Ive read in ancient Indian texts that so much that was probably lost in The Alexandrian Library wasnt lost in the conserved texts in India.
There was no uprising of pre christian sects to destroy ancient history
Much of the most ancient works were incorporated into temple carvings.
This was because any other method of preserving such antiquated knowledge wasnt durable to last.
Therefor ( like some of the ancient texts stored at the Edfu temple in Eygpt & carved into the structure to last until our present time)
There exist some mind boggling knowledge set in stone from a past of 440,000 years.
    Quite astounding!
    Thank you Origins Explained

I believe that all antiquities should be catalogued then returned to the country they were found. It’s one thing to study the past but, it’s a totally different thing to steal and remove from the graves. Very Disrespectful!
