its both on the ground and in the air, but certain characters have different rules they follow when grounded some like jin or shuma can only light -> medium or light -> heavy for a max of 2 attacks characters like hayato can only light -> medium -> heavt for a max of 3 and then theres others like strider or sonson can do light light medium medium heavy heavy but it usually wont all hit
It can start in the air and end on the ground if you are jumping into an opponent but instead of a launcher you have to use something else ofc, and be lucky enough not to eat an anti air move in the process.

Man I have this game and the ones released on Saturn. You won't find fighters this good anymore. I imported when the Saturn games released in Japan. I use Dreamcast with Akura Box for Marvel vs Capcom 1 and 2. They are the most true to arcade. Thanks for this.

I knew about the launcher but I didn't know the sequence or if there was a magic sequence between different series especially with X-Men versus Street fighter or Capcom versus X-Men. I need to save this video so I can study. I don't know if you're still watching your videos but is the magic series kind of like a pre-command type like after the laundry just press all the buttons in the same sequence and it doesn't matter or is there like a pause?

Going over when theyre safe or punishable will teach people how to react to them leading to one of the most important things to teach... Countercalling. To learn basic movement they need to understand these things and what to do on reaction vs assists or they will instantly be overwhelmed.

Depends on the character. You won't always get all 6 attacks and you might have to try something a little different. You should be holding upforward as you do it.

MalekFGC, I haven't been streaming much recently bc I'm about to finish college but I'm gonna start again next month. For assist types, from what I can tell it can really depend on the character so I recommend checking the wiki or seeing which assists other players use

Think of it like this. In DBFZ you can do the L L crM jump cancel M M etc.etc. air combo. But you can also L M crH and super dash for a air combo. MVC2 is more like the 2nd one, but not all characters in MVC2 have that magic series. (Like described in the video)

Most newcomers don't stick around in any game. If you try out the game and realize it's not your thing that's completely fine, but we should support the new players that do come up

There's a good amount of leniency with how you can time your inputs for the combo. Just gotta mess around with it and see what works

Your other dedicated punch button would be Heavy Punch. Medium Punch is only accessed by pressing Light Punch twice. Same goes for kicks
