I found it middle of the road, my one really big complaint is that they made all the supporting cast act even dumber than Wade, but dispite my gripes and nitpicks i don't get why sonic fans are calling it the worst Sonic media ever when Sonic Labyrinth is right there on the Game Gear
Agreed. This show was real gem in a sea of pretentious bullshit. That's all we get these days. This really came straight out of nowhere. Oh a new Sonic show, and it's a F'in banger?! What? Yes.
I am now going to watch this, so thank you! I’ve been putting off watching the franchise as a whole, but I’m nearing the end of finishing an 8 season long show (shit Psych is good) and I’m going to need something short and snappy as a palette clenser, this seems to be my favourite form of goofy.
People come to art for different reasons and thus have different standards for what they want to see, and by their standards this show could possibly be the worst. Is it really that hard to comprehend that art is subjective?
I kinda hope they keep doing shit like this because I wanna see shadow and rouge have a hear to heart with a middle aged blockbuster employee about self acceptance
Honestly, I liked the show so much. It made me laugh in so many scenes. The rescue plan dream scene in Wade's head; Wade's mom and Knuckles against the goons of the scientist, 5he duel between Wade and the bounty hunter, and so on. However, I have to agree with the others on some things that I also didn't like personally: 1) Knuckles wasn't on screen as much as he should've been. Don't get me wrong, I liked Wade's story arc, but it should've been a background story, not the main one. 2) The main villain. He wasn't built as much as he should've been. Even Wade's dad was given more focus and build-up as a bowling champ and a terrible father to the point that he betrays his own son to the evil agents. Additionally, the G.U.N agents were given a lot more focus as well, but it’s justified since they were antagonists of the show as well, and man, they were more interesting than the scientist, which is a shame. Like what? This man used to work for Robotnic/Eggman, knows his tech, somehow has Knuckles' quills, and has been building and selling weapons based on that to people. These characteristics had to make him intimidating, which he partially was. However, he got completely bodied by Knuckles in a matter of minutes, even though his mech suit was powered by Knuckles' quills. Plus, the G.U.N agents put up more of a fight than the scientist, and that is saying something. So other than these, I really enjoyed the show. Knuckles did kinda turn Wade into a warrior of some sort, and he also found himself a home, it being Earth 🌎
This Show is fine, I felt like it was Mostly The Wade Show because it shows more Wade than Knuckles. But i enjoyed it, The Fight Scenes were very good, especially the Shabbat Dinner, I know this was a Knuckles show, but I hoped we would see more of Tom, Maddie, Sonic and Tails, They were just there for 1/8 of Episode 1 but that’s fine.
When you said that everyone acts like everything is normal even though its weird, it reminds me of the scene when Wade woke up in the morning and his house is destroyed but he doesn't even care xD
I loved it. Watched through it twice already. I love Wade's journey and how he never stops being a dork who loves bowling; he just owns it at the end, and that feels so much more realistic than if he suddenly was a stone cold competent fighter. Wanda was kinda annoying, but on rewatch I just pretended she was lying about being in the FBI at all (would be fitting considering we never see her do much of anything and she seems more focused on one-upping Wade anyways), and that made her funnier to me. I think a couple more episodes could've rounded out the character arcs better, but as is, it's a fun time with some needed character development for both the comic relief character and the bruiser character. Episode 4 is the best one btw.
@@allancarter I mean it is personal preference, but this seems mostly like a statement said out of just having watched the show, being super hyped about it and making a not very thought out statement. Understandable, but not factual. Like I haven't watched the show, but I highly doubt that it is so much better than the examples mentioned here that it's "far and away" better than them.
@@hamdepaf6686 This definitely isn't the best adaptation at all, while I did enjoy some bits the humour was corny as shit and no offence to wade and his sister but how are yall acting like that at your grown ass age? Are you not embarrassed? They should just adapt the sonic IDW comic series at this point, and learn more about the characters through that. istg it needs to be animated. A knuckles show should take his history more seriously as it sort of made his whole cultural and ancient clans a joke.
I think the fans that are very disappointed probs are the ones that have been around for a while and know the sonic lore very well lmaoo. ALSO, it's just insane that fan content of sonic is better than this paramount sonic bs 💀💀
Wow. I didn't expect to see any positivity about this show but I agree it's good. I was prepared for something underwhelming, but I had a good time all six episodes.
The way Wade's mom reacts when Knuckles talks about his people being wiped out and she understands. Not just pretending to understand like other writing would have this scene because it was owls and echidnas. She understands because its like the Jewish history. And that struck me as wow. And they didn't have to overly explain the connection either or act like the audience is dumb. "He's practically Jewish"
That reaction hits hard for anyone who has at least basic knowledge of the Holocaust. Wade's mom is not even weirded out by the whole giant owls part, she just gets it!
While I did like this series, it felt mostly inconsequential because we don't see much of Knuckles' character development and the villains die at the end, so what's keeping this series from feeling like filler in the grand scheme of this universe? I can't see a lot of this series affecting the later movies. I can see the writers and Jeff Fowler bringing back Knuckles' fire powers and maybe introducing Chaos as a water demon like they did with Iblis. I wasn't expecting much, I thought it'd have Knuckles training Wade in combat to become a better cop and Wade teaching Knuckles how to bowl.
This show isn't bad. Sonic fans just don't know how to have fun. I am a firm believer that not everything has to be the Mona Lisa. And that philosophy definitely applies here. Is the show perfect? No. Does that make it bad? Hell no!
Unfortunately. While not everyone I've met is like that, a large part of the community (the folks on Twitter especially) love to argue about useless shit that doesn't get anyone anywhere. Who knows, maybe one day they'll learn that it's ok to have a differing opinion. (I wouldn't count on it hue)
The problem is that it's called tye knuckles show but Knuckles is barely in his own show sure it had a decent story here and there but the false advertisement really hitted us hard. So it's 7.5/10 i would give a 9/10 if only Knuckles had nore screen time in his own show!
This shows reminds me of the first Sonic movie, smaller in scope but very character-focused. But it also has the production value and big action setpieces of the second movie. It really is the best of both worlds.
After being ripped off by Sonic Prime, this show was exactly what I needed. Seeing so many legacy characters (Loki, Picard, Boba Fett, Obi-Wan, Nick Fury, Mando and Moon Knight) all get torn down and made into weak and frail shells of their former selves, made me worried that Knuckles would suffer the same fate. Thankfully my worries were put to rest instantly. I love this show. It's completely bonkers. Easily better than anything from Marvel and Star Wars on Disney+.
Maybe it’s not quite what I hoped for, but I’m pretty happy with what we got for Knuckles! Although clearly not many others are having a good attitude about this
I really enjoyed this show. It was super funny and entertaining to watch. I agree with some of the other comments that it could have focused a bit more on Knuckles rather than Wade, but I actually really liked the absurd humor. I thought the musical episode was hilarious and such an inventive way to show Knuckles’ backstory to Wade and the audience. My only major complaint about it is that Wade’s sister was super annoying and acted like a six year old and wasn’t believable as an adult, certainly not one that works for the FBI. Even though all the other ridiculous stuff worked for me, her whole character just didn’t for some reason. But overall it was really fun and I’m glad I watched it! I will probably even watch it again sometime!
I do like that you don't need to watch this to be caught up in the current "trilogy" of movies. It's not the MCU which has a problem of shoveling a *lot* of timeline/plot relevant stuff into the tv series as a kind of homework. The Star Wars universe even forced you to read a book to understand how certain plot points happened. I think that in the future I would prefer to see concepts only lightly sketched out in the movies to be fleshed out in the side material however. E. I also would have liked to have some payoff with Knuckles returning to Maddie and the other kids, preferably some followup since he was supposed to be grounded. This version of the Sonic universe is leaning into this 'out of traumatic pasts, into found family' trope, it would have been nice to see the oldest Wachowski son get back to them.
I Would Love To See A Sonic Vs. Chucky Crossover Movie With Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, Charlie Hunnam And Alexander Skarsgard In It. Well It Could Happen In Sonic The Hedgehog 3 Or Chucky Season 3… And Scream Vs. The Black Phone Can Still Happen
I was pretty disappointed with this series. Knuckles was more of a background character to Wade and I thought the show was unfunny overall with annoying characters and a lacklustre story. It was a chore to get through.
Here is an idea for the Sonic team (Credit me) A new character enters the Sonic franchise, she joins the dark team and is an engineer. Everything is from the dark team's perspective; the story starts from sonic adventure in an alternate universe.
This shows that we need streaming services to create more mini-series events than movies on their platforms. It would help give the story and characters more development as long as the writers could want.
Everyone, I have a bat$@#& theory, I believe that in Sonic 3 Shadow will take Knuckles' motorcycle. Cuz Knuckles having a motorcycle just never made sense to me for the show until I realized they could possibly give it to Shadow. I'm thinking right now that in Sonic 3 Knuckles is of course going to have his motorcycle and stuff and Shadow will eventually steal it as the motorcycle is a big part of Shadow in His game. Or the wachowski family will just simply sell it. I hope the former happens instead of the latter.
I feel like I'm getting a flash-bang every time people say this show should have a 7-9 rating. See you when they make a Shadow spinoff where he just sits around for most of the show and Gerald Robotnik appears as a hallucination to tell him some jokes
I have to be honest, I legitimately wasn’t sure if this was supposed to be sarcasm as a joke or not. I enjoyed the show as I was watching it, but I did not necessarily like the show. I think it’s… OK. But also very disappointing. It’s not at all what it should’ve been. I think it’s ironic that most of the people who like the show are the ones who didn’t care for the second movie, which is odd since that’s basically the best material of everything we’ve gotten so far for this live action universe. I think it’s just a difference between people who are interested in the series for the main attraction and people who are interested in the series for other things.
the only real complaint is that this show haves less of Knuckles then Wade... I liked the show, and the dynamic itself. just that I think the title character should be more of A character... that said over all I liked it a lot... Ps: at 9:35 you mentioned that Sonic have weirdness and humor never at this level... Oh boy that's not true. clearly you never seen Archie. Where there story goes so far out there to break reality... Twice! Gave us a Co-Op with Mega man for F*** Sake. or a lot of the games for example: the Storybook games had Sonic fight a Jinn and King Arthur. Unleash had Sonic go "feral" and Robotnik Blow up Earth. Frontiers is finally the telling of Chaos's origins. THIS SHOW... is way to Tame. =P Weirdness doesn't begin to cover it. XD but yee, sorry for the mini-rant. Love this vid. ttfn =)
I think what he meant was for the movie canon when he said that not other types of canons since yeah those comics do get crazy, which I do remember someone saying the Knuckles tv show feels a little inspired by some of the goofier versions of the archive sonic comic stories.

I really like this show and I don’t get the hate, and I’m so sick of people complaining about the human characters I mean HELLO MARIA!! A HUMAN is the main driver for one of this universes most popular characters shadow
You explained the difference yourself, she's a driving force for one of the main characters and is actually important. Wade is a fucking nobody who took up like 10 minutes of movie 2, and ended up taking most of the screentime from knuckles, y'know, the important character.
Don't get me wrong I love this show it's so good and the people who don't like this show saying it's the most weakest Sonic movie project y'all are just mean but I think it would have been cool if this show focused on Knuckles life on his old world seeing his dad and the echidna clan
They’re mean, closed minded, ungrateful, and whiny. I figure that even if there was a lot more of Knuckles they would still complain about even the smallest percentage of human scenes there were in this

@@jackkemp7256 legit XD
I found it middle of the road, my one really big complaint is that they made all the supporting cast act even dumber than Wade, but dispite my gripes and nitpicks i don't get why sonic fans are calling it the worst Sonic media ever when Sonic Labyrinth is right there on the Game Gear
I loved how goofy it felt. It was a fun ride to go through
Psych let's go!
saying sonic 2 was trash and knuckles wasn't that good in the film, while saying the show is amazing is so unpopular that it's probably rare
The people who say this is the worst thing in Sonic are insane. This show was so good
People come to art for different reasons and thus have different standards for what they want to see, and by their standards this show could possibly be the worst.
Is it really that hard to comprehend that art is subjective?
lmaooo u have brain damage if u think the movies are worse
Everyone who saw this knows the best scene is the low-budget rock opera
It won me over for sure. It wasn’t as good as the movie for me, but it is able to stand on its own. Thanks for this nice review!
Fight scenes were goated. Only issue was there was not enough knuckles and too much wade
However, I have to agree with the others on some things that I also didn't like personally:
1) Knuckles wasn't on screen as much as he should've been.
Idk I thought this was alright but I have seen people having mixed opinions on this. Interesting take of your opinion on this.
Finally someone who understands, the show isn’t perfect, but that doesn’t mean we should criticize every little detail
While I would definitely love more Knuckles in a potential second season, I've grown to appreciate this show more.
"far and away the greatest game to screen adaptation of all time" is a big claim, especially with stuff like Arcane out there...
And Netflix Cyberpunk, Last of Us, etc
I am confused as well. Is this channel satire? Like I get liking it. But a good adaption? Right after Fallout? I just don't understand.
I can’t tell if bro is doing a bit or he actually liked it this much but regardless I did genuinely like this show
This show isn't bad. Sonic fans just don't know how to have fun.
I am a firm believer that not everything has to be the Mona Lisa. And that philosophy definitely applies here.
Is the show perfect? No.
Does that make it bad? Hell no!
Fr, the Sonic fandom is like the whiniest and most closed minded fandom that ever existed
Correct
Now we just need that Hazbin Hotel review
This shows reminds me of the first Sonic movie, smaller in scope but very character-focused. But it also has the production value and big action setpieces of the second movie. It really is the best of both worlds.
But it doesn't dare focus on the titular character everyone came to see...
As a casual sonic fan i was in it for the ride but they are layers in the show that I didnt agree with but i did had fun
The Knuckles TV show?
You know what, I look up to you for going against Miraculous on some occasions so…no jokes.
That Sonic the Hedgehog 2 review was TERRIBLE.
WHICH MAKES ME WONDER HOW YOU CAN FIND THIS SHOW GOOD
This honestly feels like forced backpedalling to get the fanbase on his side
Yeah I think I got that vibe too.
I was pretty disappointed with this series. Knuckles was more of a background character to Wade and I thought the show was unfunny overall with annoying characters and a lacklustre story. It was a chore to get through.
The show is great, and I've seen reviews from youtubers who just didn't pay attention.
Uh, you referring to Sam Procrastinates? He's a die-hard Sonic fan.
Here is an idea for the Sonic team (Credit me)
A new character enters the Sonic franchise, she joins the dark team and is an engineer. Everything is from the dark team's perspective; the story starts from sonic adventure in an alternate universe.
The show was so ba-
Michael Bolton everyone!
2:47 what about the mlb season 5 finally I bet that made you laugh
I loved this show. It's so easy to rewatch too.
Wholeheartedly agree, 8/10.
I thought it was cute! The humor didn’t always hit for me but overall i liked it
I'm liking this video, just because of this title
(But also the content, dw)
Weirdness doesn't begin to cover it.
Fair fair. =)
This show was awesome. I was getting Kenny Powers vibes from this! Paramount knoched it out of the park. 10
There are definitely problems that are a cause for concern, BUT IDK WHY EVERYONE JUST HATES HAVING FUN
Yes finally someone praised this show I only saw people hate I love it
Oh I gotta watch this now
i... i feel like my mind is broken, everyone else is enjoying it.
i tried to like it... but it just wasn't doing it for me, and i'm a huge fan of both movies!
we're all on opposites with this show, what in the heck is happening??
The Knuckles show ain’t what I expected, but I enjoyed it all the same 😂
At this point Smarty Pants is just one of those guys that criticizes films before they even come out💀
The Sonic franchise was just showing the audience a rough draft in the form of a trailer. They take criticism and use it to make the film better! 😂
Review storm hawks, please
I can’t agree
I also loved knuckles I don't really get all the hate
it's because he doesnt get as much focus as wade, even though the series name is called Knuckles
I figure that even if there was a lot more of Knuckles they would still complain about even the smallest percentage of human scenes there were in this
I envy those who enjoyed the show😔😔💔💔
So you hated Sonic 2 but loved the Wade sh-- I mean, the Knuckles show... Your takes confuse me. Did we watch the show?
awesome :D
how much did paramount pay you to say this mu guy? cause if i was getting paid i would spout a lot of bullshit aswell
I genuinely can’t tell if he’s being ironic or not
Jesus Christ, I can smell the Kool-Aid from here.
??
As someone who has been a sonic fan for more than a decade ( almost 2 decades) . I can say that i am really disapointed with this show . Not only disapointed , this show is a complete disrespect to this character . I mean the dude is not even the main character of his own show . Listen i'm not saying that it's not enjoiable no i kinda enjoyed it too ( ep 1& 2 are good ) . But Knuckles really deserves better than this . And if you are saying that "YOURE TOO MEAN" then i have to say : "YES" I am mean . I'm mean because I care .I care about this franchise . I wanted it to be good .i wanted knuckles to get what he truely deserves . Not only knuckles . But every other character as well . And i dont want to see my favorite characters being ruined ( AGAIN ) I dont want to see them being treated as a joke ( AGAIN ) .Thank you so much this was MY opinion about the show . By : a random SONIC fan 😑.
(And by the way . How is it possible to call sonic movies "OK" and calling this "goated" are you serious 🤔🤨 ? And you said it yourself that you didn't like knuckles in the second movie he was the same character as he was in the movie . He didn't have any character development or anything . So how you liked him here and not there . Oh yeah i forgot that this wasn't even a sonic show and knuckles was there for less than 40% of the show . Now that makes sense .😐😑)
I totally agree with you 👍🏻
out of every comment I've seen here. I have to say yours takes the cake.
good points over-all, and by all means, I see why you have every right to be angary at this show.
That said... Which Knuckles did you grow up with?
first 2d Knux: was that 90's edgy hip-hop/rap brawler teen that was naive enough to believe the first thing that an fat guy said just after he fell from the sky.
Archie Knux: starts out that bratty teen, find out he's a warrior, turns into a villain and gets redeemed by the end of his run... Twice...
3d Knux: was that native warrior that believe he was the real guardian of nature and the keeper of peace. Naive enough to believe a Bat of her word
Boom Knux:... ... ... ... ... ... 😤 no... Stupid peace of dog 💩
Modern Knux: Leader, virtuous, honorable. one of the most Naive Knux to date...
Movie Knux: excluding Boom-Knux (Thank God) is kind of a combo of all the Knux before hand...
Paramount themselves are clearly trying to there best to appease "everyone"...
@@leif19samcynosHi👋 . about youre question , I mostly grew up with 2d knux & 3d knux (and a little with modern knux 😅) . I'm not really a fan of archie knuckles and I hate boom knuckles 😂 I also think that the movie knuckles is one of the best Knuckles we've ever had. About the show , don't get me wrong Knuckles himself was so good in the show in fact He was the best part of this series .( i'm just saying that he deserved better than that 😔)
@@AMIR-M070 HOLY HELL! it seems I misinterpreted your comment then?
my apologies good sir. That said. I'm glad to see we both hate Boom Knux. XD
I totally agree with (He deserve better.) however I kind of get why they did what they did. not saying it was right. but understandable. Voice acting pays more now-a-days. not at first, not the initial payment. then 3d work cost 3-ish times more then "live-action"... etc etc. hence the meditation montage. Side Note, I'm happy to hear Christopher Lloyd still into Acting. (Voice Acting, but still.)
This show > sonic movie 1
In my opinion the knuckles show was horrible, it wasnt the knuckles show, it was the wade show, knuckles was barely there and got barely any good scenes, whilst wade got episodes of boring yapping and i really didnt care about wade and his story, i wanted more of knuckles and i was really disappointed after watching it
Its ok to be wrong
💀
Yeah you're right that's why we're okay with you.
Its okay to have a different opinion
yeah bros just yapping
I loved the show even though I do think they have some mistakes but it was fun.
Why are we switching up now what happened 😭
I do not no you people Sade es not good es a Fanny show
review alex rider show
i couldn't tell if he was being sarcastic the whole video , its a shame he wasn't
I absolutely hated this show. Not sure how you liked it that much but you do you
What in the world were you watching? You must have been high
this shit satire right?
Na you are wrong
Sonic Movie 1
Fans: Sonic should have had more screentime, but still a good movie nonetheless
Knuckles (a show that basically does the same thing with more entertaining humans)
Fans: *RAH RAH THIS SHOW IS THE WORST FUCKING SHIT EVER 😡*
Uh Sonic had way more screen time in his own film, than Knuckles did in his own show. This is inaccurate.
