Very intresting, in Namibia marula tree is called omwoongo, once the fruit is ripe it turns from green to yellow that's when we extract marula juice both alcoholic and non alcoholic, oil. Keep up the good work , we are learning a lot.

Thanks for sharing your video. We used to make a drink called "umkumbi" from the juice extracted from the fruits/amaganu and this is good for wood carvings such as wooden plates and traditional chairs/stools.

Just to add that the fruits are also detoxifying when eaten also we used to make a drink which can make ppl drunk-animals also like the fruits of it and they get really drunk as well, thankyou very much for reminding us.and goats eat the whole fruit then when they poop we would take the marula seed and crush it to get the nut ,very tasty !

Interesting what you say about talking to the tree to show it respect before harvesting from it. Some tribes do the same with the acacia tree when extracting boswellia or gum arabic I think. I am learning more from you than I ever learned at school here in Zimbabwe.
