I agree wholeheartedly with the defendant. The plaintiff felt that way about her for a long time. That's why she exploded on her over something so trivial. She had been wanting to say those things to her for a while. In her mind, that was the opportunity to say it. She's a basket case!

Agree 💯.. plaintiff is a narcissist and most likely plays everyone in her life .. hence why she has no one left in her life, so she reaches out to a friend when she was twice homeless . I think the Plaintiff was jealous of her friend and that's why she got so angry with her. The plaintiff was moving all over the place living in different people's homes, her son has a drug problem and in trouble with the law, while her friend the defendant has a stable place to live with a stable life situation. Sometimes people just really need to get over themselves, put their own foot down and say, it's time for me to stop blaming everyone else for my problems, playing the victim trying to get everyone to nurse my wounds and feel sorry for me, and get my life together.

In most states, if a houseguest gives you a few dollars to "help" and/or has mail delivered to them at your address, they are now a legal tenant, and you can't kick them out. You have to hire a lawyer & go through an eviction process, which can take months.
I've tried to be kind & let people stay with me in the past. Kicked a young girl out after she tried to seduce my husband. Another young girl who one of our sons was dating got mad because we wouldn't let them share a bedroom, so she tried to burn our house down....with our pets in it. Thank God we forgot something & turned around to go back for it or we would have come home much later to a destroyed home & dead pets. Another old "friend" from childhood left on his own, with our car. We spotted it months later in a police auction. I consider myself lucky that they didn't become defiant squatters and make me evict them.

Thought I had a real friend for 32 years. When I got hurt and real sick and my house burned she exited stage left while my house was actually still on fire.I never asked for help or anything else... but when she realized I had nothing left to give... she has never called or checked on me again. That's been 8 years ago. That night God gave me a vision of her and behind her beautiful face was the most hideous demon you could ever imagine. I shook and thanked God she was gone and out of my life completely. When you lose somebody like that be very thankful.

Mixing friends with money is messy, and if you’re going to do it, it has to be crystal clear. It can still go sideways, in my case I’m glad it didn’t. My best friend took myself and my daughter in when I went through my divorce. We had very explicit rent and contribution to household bills. Our daughters were a year apart in age, 2 and 3. They shared a room and I rented the extra room. We even ended up with me keeping her daughter nights and weekends when she worked. We stayed until her lease was up and she moved in with her fiancé, and I found a place to rent (over a year later). We are still best friends and I’d do anything to return the favor if it’s ever needed in any way.

I let a friend who I called my sister come stay with me because she didn't have anywhere to go. We moved and she had to move with us and was there for almost a year and didn't look for a job, and when she did look there was always some excuse and refused to go to social services. After finding out that she was smoking in my house in the room room that was supposed to be my daughter's room who was due in a few months and didn't do anything besides eat up the food, run up my bills including the phone bill to almost $400, had people in my house when I was at work or on duty and they were stealing things including checks which means they were in places they shouldn't be I asked her to leave. She locked herself out of the house by accident and when I got there I could see a lot of my stuff mixed in with her stuff that she was taking. She went back while I was at school and my husband let her in and either her or someone who was with her smashed his car window... I only didn't call the cops because he said to let it go but I learned my lesson and I have not allowed any adult to stay with us for an extended period of time.

The plaintiff reminds me of a former friend of mine - emotional abuser and manipulator.
Can turn on the apologies and water works on que, after beating you into the dirt with hate, nastiness and anger.
These types of "friendships" are no different than being with an abusing mate - abuse you then bring you flowers and apologize, then abuse you, then flowers and apologies; abuse, then apologies.
I hope the plaintiff walked away and stayed away because people like the defendant don't change. If you allow the abuse / apology ONE TIME, it's an open door for them to repeat, over and over and over again, and it will only get worse.
The more you try and help someone like that, the worse they become because you care - and THAT ends up being the "weakness" they exploit.
