Because you can't get in trouble for destroying your own property. Been there done that. My sister hand by hand destroyed her car and her ex tried pressing charges and he couldn't bc the title n registration was in her name therefore she had every right to destroy her own car and I mean she took it apart hand by hand in my own parking lot lol

Car payments can be misleading. Me personally, I don’t go into debt for anything other than my home. But if you are going to finance a car, what you really want is a low interest rate instead of a low monthly payment.

Defendant is pulling a scam. Can’t believe that she thinks she can subvert her own contract . Why break the window?
The defendant was investigated by her insurance company because on the same day the show was recorded, she tried to file a claim to have the other damage (that the plaintiff was alleged doing, but lied and said it was her daughter that caused damage) fixed with the insurance company! Since admitting to vandalizing a vehicle on Judge Judy, it showed evidence of fraud. It was then discovered that Ms. "I have money and property, she doesn't have anything..." Shuler was having financial troubles and demanded that the Plaintiff pay the full amount immediately and when refused and said that she would make only the agreed monthly payments, Shuler was none too pleased. Wow. She's a peach!
If she was having financial difficulties she should have waited and sold the car to somebody who could pay the whole purchase price. Seriously this doesn't happen in the UK, I have never heard of anybody doing a private sale with installments. If you have to you get a loan from the bank and pay the full price to the seller. WTF Is with people in the US acting like banks and repo companies??

The Defendant must have had a fatal attraction for that $4000 car. The Plaintiff was paying faithfully and caried full insurance. Was the Defendant just sitting around dwelling on what the car was doing and where? She couldn't handle not knowing, so she broke out the windows and repossessed it all so the Plaintiff couldn't have it anymore😂? Sick.

I've heard the saying often, but you may be more familiar with "you can't get blood out of a stone". It means you can try all you want, but you can't get something that isn't there--the Defendant is alleging the Plaintiffs had no money and no insurance, so she had "no choice" but to repo the car.
(The "turnip" and "stone" variants of the saying both appear to date back several hundred years. One example that springs to mind is in "Muppet Christmas Carol" - when Scrooge is throwing Mr. Applegate out of his office, you hear him yell "I'm the stone you can't squeeze blood from!" about his mortgage payment, right before he flies out the door!)
