She missed it dropping until she got to court. Her claim was going to be he checked his pockets right in front of me and there was nothing in there ...
The defendant had the most ridiculous story I've ever heard. Puts jewelry on the counter and not a drawer? And gives it away to a rando with a sob story. Really?! Does she even hear herself? Those cigarettes have rotted her brain.

I worked at a retail greenhouse and someone dropped a bank envelope with $1200. I gave it to the owner who waited for it to be claimed for 30 days. After it wasnt, the owner gave it to me for being honest and I split it with a coworker.
Actually I'm rethinking that* the fact that she emphasized "I didn't even realize it was real gold" means she probably kept it BECAUSE she realized it was real gold
Working at a dry cleaner, there is such a high likely hold it fell out of someone’s pocket coming in. It’s not like she found it in the street. It’s in a business , the business has to protect the customer.
I don't know if a lot of JM's reactions are based on how she felt before she takes the stand that day or what. But, I have seen cases where she totally goes off on people that do not deserve it, and here she is completely agreeing and being nice to this blatant thief. I am glad she at least found in the plaintiff's favor. I just wish she would be more consistent with her rants.
Anyone else super surprised by the good video quality? I'm so used to people have just the worst CCTV cameras that the clarity of this one actually blew my mind!
The fact that she would give away his jewelry in such a short span of time and give him different stories shows that she stole it when she realized what it was. The lady is despicable. I would not even trust her with clothes to dry clean. All I could say is this dude is a lot more civilized than I am. But I guarantee, with my method, the jewelry would mysteriously be produced and reappear.
This woman took this man’s jewelry and either sold it or kept it for herself. She probably thought that if the owner came back to look for it she could just tell them that they never found it. Unfortunately for her she has an employee with integrity who let the plaintiff know that they did find it. I wish the judge had pressed her harder about her story because she was clearly making it up so that the plaintiff wouldn’t file a police report.
She's a liar.... she didn't give it to a grieving man.... all she kept talking about was that she didn't know if it was valuable..... and abt it's sentimental value... yet she "gave" it to a stranger after 4 days... She sold it or somebody in her family is wearing it... Glad he won his case!!
She sounded too fishy to me. Kinda sounds like she found it and sold it or kept it. You just don’t do things like that when you own a business. You hang on to it and see if the person comes back to claim it. I bet she did have a safe and I’m sure he’s not the only person who has left things of value in their clothes
Doug aint SugarHoneyIcedTea AND I love it 🥴 my favorite part of the episode is when he giggles and give his 2 cents in a condescending manner… like bro c’mon you might get slapped one of these days
Not sure if I believe the defendant. Why would you give away a gold bracelet to a stranger? Plaintiff got lucky he had the receipts to prove the worth.
What the defendant did was despicable. Furthermore if the shoe was on the other foot and the plantiff did what she did JM wouldn't be laughing and kidding around with him like she was with the defendant. Luckily for him he had evidence or she would've railroaded him in a heartbeat. I don't even think she gave his shit away.
I worked front desk at a dry cleaners & our protocol was to put everything of value in a bag with the customers and number on it then put it in the safe & courtesy call the customer.
She should hv shown the judge the footage of her giving it to the other man and also the details of the other guy since I'm sure he came in to clean his clothes....she does look guilty though
So glad the plaintiff won his case and that the defendant had camera footage of the transaction and *learned a valuable lesson*. *Dougie Llewelyn's usual famous parting words to the Kids in The Hall. 😉
Before even watching this episode I just know for sure that the owner kept or pawned those jewelery. If she did pawn them, she ended receiving way less than what she will be giving back the plaintiff for his jewelery.
I'm so glad the Plaintiff had what he needed to prove his case because it seems like the Judge make "certain" people work extremely hard to prove themselves
I've left jewelry in pockets, purses, in the arm rest compartment of my car and in my pockets, and I've totally forgotten about it, so I can relate to being absent minded
I am sure dry cleaners find all sorts of valuables in pockets all the time. They probably do hold on to it and if no body claims it they take it. I do not think this woman gave it to somebody else.

Yoo im dead 😂😂
I didn’t expect him to say YES when judge asked for receipts
He went and did his homework!!!
Neither did she
She was about to lowball him big-time
I'm here for it!
He didn't have any! He had a quote of the grams worth and a "similar" item he found on the internet. .... those are NOT receipts.
She didn’t either lol, yet I’m so glad he did have
receipts 🧾
She sold it! Her story was BS , people don’t give away stuff.
Facts
Some people do. Lol. I'm one of those people. 🤷🏽♀️ I wouldn't have given stuff away tht I know someone left, by mistake, at my house or business, tho.
Certainly not a Cuban a/o a Figaro
The story is just fishy to me. Glad he had proof
Me too
She has serious chain smokers voice it's like listening to a frog speak 💯
🤔😷🤔
I immediately thought Marge from the Simpsons oh and her sisters.
Exactly!
Way by by too much chain smoking!!
I REALLY DISLIKE how judge Milan was NOT happy that he had his receipt for his jewelry as if she was HOPING to be able to tell him sorry you can’t prove the value of the jewelry so I’m ruling in favor of the defendant. I HATE the way she was so understanding to the defendant and her BS story. This case makes me look at her different that shit was weird but especially knowing how much she’s constantly screaming about proving your case. Congratulations to the plaintiffs for proving his case 😊 👏🏽
I agree with you. I’ve seen the same thing here and in other cases. I’ve also seen similar where some on the bench are activist fist, law second. Have you seen Michael’s explanation of his decisions on Hot Bench?
I don’t think she meant it that way. Just a filler phrase for the situation before her. Though she’s an idiot for not pressing that bullshit defendant’s story.
I agree.....She was grinnin & skinnin way too much with that Trifling Thief
She doesn’t give POC the benefit of the doubt. She assumes the worst…..always has.
You wouldn't put gold jewelry you find on the floor on your counter and you can tell if it's real or not.
I can tell, but you would be surprised at how many would think its fake.
@@babyblu76 if u know gold jewelry and own gold jewelry u would know and the owner would've known lol 😆
She missed it dropping until she got to court.
Her claim was going to be he checked his pockets right in front of me and there was nothing in there ...
WRONG!!! Her written response, which is done weeks (if not months) before they go to court says that she found it and gave it to someone else.
Precisely! I was thinking that too
I think her goal in showing the video was to argue that being that it was on the ground, NOT in his pocket, that it's fair to keep or give away
Marge is LYING !!!!!!
🤣 definitely!
Big time
Lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂👌🤦🏾♀️
Roflmao
Sis got the From Justin to Kelly highlights.
🤣
The defendant had the most ridiculous story I've ever heard.
Puts jewelry on the counter and not a drawer? And gives it away to a rando with a sob story.
Really?! Does she even hear herself?
Those cigarettes have rotted her brain.
WHY!? is the judge buying this woman's story???? She runs a BUSINESS and doesn't know the man's name or have his telephone number that she gave the jewelry to ... ??? where's the video of THAT man?
Exactly you have the give a phone number and even sometimes an address to use their cleaners service.
“There ain’t no such thing as finders keepers…” Tell ‘em Harvey!
Glad he had receipts. He was ready!
I'm happy I'm not the only one sitting here watching the people's court ... lmao
I'm enjoying while having dinner😊😊
LOOOLOLLLA I’m fixing to be 36 weeks pregnant and I’m eating Goodie Girl Mint Cookies
Total guilty pleasure of mine... I love Judge Marilyn Milian.
She either sold the jewelry or pawned it
I think she got sweet talked out of it . More of a fool than a crook.
@@jenniehughes6927 Nah, that story was made up. Even the biggest fool wouldn't just give a lost item away to someone who they don't know and someone who they know the items don't belong to.
@@williamg8269 Just a desperate, lonely old gal that was made a fool over her desperation. I almost feel sorry for her .
@@williamg8269 You might be surprised by how stupid people are.
I do wish you all the best though. Good night 😴
@@jenniehughes6927 - Quit making excuses and covering for her. She's lying. Anybody with half a brain - especially an old married lady who has wedding rings and jewelry and who is running a professional business, knows you don't just give somebody''s personal jewelry away to a stranger you feel bad about - whether its real or fake jewelry - its sentimental to the owner. She is not that stupid. She kept it or sold it most likely.
Wow the defendant sounds like Selma Bouvier from the Simpsons.
Nah I say she sound more like Patty than Selma
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@spencer3175 Either way she sounds fuckin terrible omg😳
I got nervous thinking he was going to lose….she lying tho!
I worked at a retail greenhouse and someone dropped a bank envelope with $1200. I gave it to the owner who waited for it to be claimed for 30 days. After it wasnt, the owner gave it to me for being honest and I split it with a coworker.
Smh she lying through her teeth 😆
@Jovan Thompson 😆😆 right
How come I'm the one with Bronchitis and she sounds like she in the same boat. Damn lady
That woman took that Man's stuff She know she did
Defendant's story is shady. The judge seemed to believe her but I think she was just being polite.
No she’s racist
First case I have seen plaintiff have the receipt! Judge Wasn’t expected that
Judging by her voice, the defendant should be smoking cigarettes instead of chewing them.
I've seen the same thing. Some of her rulings are questionable.
Anyone else super surprised by the good video quality? I'm so used to people have just the worst CCTV cameras that the clarity of this one actually blew my mind!
I don't know why but I really love dry cleaning cases.
They're always interesting!
They're a refreshing change from as is car sales, dog attacks, and defendants calling loans a gift.
Me too! It's weird tho lol
Dang the judge sure didn't want the guy to win!
I just can’t get over the fact that he takes his sweatpants to the dry cleaners.
That went straight past me . Lol
Its probably a designer sweatpants.
I’m sure it’s not regular sweat pants.
@@suga1231 Can you imagine having Wal-Mart sweatpants dry cleaned ? 😆😂😉

I wish I could go to the cleaners. I haven't fit in any of my suits since the pandemic.
Same 😭🤣🤣
I hear you, man.
Smokey took the jewelry . End of story
😂
You should be a judge! You know everything!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
She's a liar.... she didn't give it to a grieving man.... all she kept talking about was that she didn't know if it was valuable..... and abt it's sentimental value... yet she "gave" it to a stranger after 4 days... She sold it or somebody in her family is wearing it... Glad he won his case!!
She sounded too fishy to me. Kinda sounds like she found it and sold it or kept it. You just don’t do things like that when you own a business. You hang on to it and see if the person comes back to claim it. I bet she did have a safe and I’m sure he’s not the only person who has left things of value in their clothes
She sold it and bought cigarettes.
😂😂😂
🤣 for the whole year!
she gave them away, really, did she really
Pawned!
There is no way she gave the jewelry away. She sold it or kept it.
This was a prime of example of dishonesty by the defendant!
This one surprised me, I was not expecting him to win this case.
Doug gets in his feelings when people don’t want to talk to him.
🤣🤣🤣
Doug aint SugarHoneyIcedTea AND I love it 🥴 my favorite part of the episode is when he giggles and give his 2 cents in a condescending manner… like bro c’mon you might get slapped one of these days
SHE'S LYING
Exactly like it's your business place so why give away something you found on the floor smh
At 4:17 both guys in the back scratch their heads at the same time.
Twins
I absolutely love how she changes her glasses. She’s so beautiful.
Not sure if I believe the defendant. Why would you give away a gold bracelet to a stranger? Plaintiff got lucky he had the receipts to prove the worth.
Bracelet? Bracelet necklace with a charm
When the defendant start talking 😮🤢 I just knew her hair smelled like Marlboro reds
Where’s the video of her giving the jewelry away🤔🤔
@dana blue She didn't record herself giving it to the pawn shop! lmao
Glad he won... NOW what I took from this episode is to keep receipt of EVERYTHING even jewelry!!!
I don’t know if I believe she gave it away either.
Are you saying JM plays favoritism?
Isn't it obvious
@@adrianprince7266 Your comment is bs.
Whewww wee thats a Newport 100 voice 😂🤣
BS 💩!!! She stole the gentleman’s jewelry. I’m glad he won his case.
I worked front desk at a dry cleaners & our protocol was to put everything of value in a bag with the customers and number on it then put it in the safe & courtesy call the customer.
Yes, Doug, WE'VE ALL LEARNED A FREAKING LESSON. Just STOP already!
She smoked that chain lol
She should hv shown the judge the footage of her giving it to the other man and also the details of the other guy since I'm sure he came in to clean his clothes....she does look guilty though
So glad the plaintiff won his case and that the defendant had camera footage of the transaction and *learned a valuable lesson*.
*Dougie Llewelyn's usual famous parting words to the Kids in The Hall. 😉
Before even watching this episode I just know for sure that the owner kept or pawned those jewelery.
If she did pawn them, she ended receiving way less than what she will be giving back the plaintiff for his jewelery.
The defendant is thinking to herself, 'Damn it was worth $1900 and I only got $50 at the pawn shop'...
This man is prepared with his receipts 👏
Her clearing her throat did absolutely NOTHING 🥴🥴🥴. My goodness 👀🤧😩🤣
I remember when I was in school. They used to say ain’t isn’t a word. But now it’s the dictionary …
Lol same! I seem to remember an anecdote of George W Bush being the President of making it officially a word.
I didn’t know that lol
Used to be "Ain't ain't in the dictionary" 😀🤗
My man!! 👏👏👏
I got my ex husband a Cuban right after we got married and that alone was $900.
I'm so glad the Plaintiff had what he needed to prove his case because it seems like the Judge make "certain" people work extremely hard to prove themselves
Everytime I see a video with Harvey from home, I have to laugh at the stuffed dog in the background to his right. It's cute but funny.
Dude is too damn irresponsible to be owning expensive jewelry! 💯
I've left jewelry in pockets, purses, in the arm rest compartment of my car and in my pockets, and I've totally forgotten about it, so I can relate to being absent minded
@@geminijohnson4019 Probably in a bit of a hurry. Doesn't mean he should lose out .
It just seems weird to me to put it in your pocket. I mean, he obviously had it in his pockets based on the video footage, but why not just wear it?
Kids in the background is trying to keep awake 🤣 he's stretching like crazy & the boy next to him is clearly not entertained lol
A new one. YAY!!!
That woman is a liar. I wouldn't ever go to that dry cleaners again.
Who is the cute guy beside the defendant
I am sure dry cleaners find all sorts of valuables in pockets all the time. They probably do hold on to it and if no body claims it they take it. I do not think this woman gave it to somebody else.
I think she stole that necklace lol that story sounds bogus as hell 😂😂🤦🏽♀️
jesus christ the smoker voice on the lady, she sound like Optimus Prime
