      The instructions are confusing. It sounds like it's suggesting that the metal ring in the center of the wheel would go inside against the arbor. The opposite of shown here. But you would think the logo side of the wheel would face outward

      the 7 inch blade would increase the cutting depth if you didn't have a bigger chop saw, so good info - I have the bigger CE, but 90% of what I cut can be cut with this saw - thanks for subscribing!

    🤔... The magnet...I like that idea...but not for steel cutting tools. If you put a magnet on a piece of steel it will get magnetic. Metal filings will find a week magnetic charge and stick and you're making metal filings/dust. I will keep the magnet away from my steel cut off tools but it's a good idea that I will use for my portable woodworking although I think most of those have aluminum bases, I'll figure it out.

    Can you tell me the size of the open end wrench for holding the spindle during wheel changes? I have the pin spanned, but I lost the open end and the wheel is on too tight to get off without it. If I knew the distance across the flats, I could buy a new wrench. Thank you!

      I would work, you would to clean up the cuts after cutting, you tool will melt what it is cutting - I have a video on cleaning up conduit after its cut - ua-cam.com/video/QWOA4VPcnqM/v-deo.html - I would wrap the area around the cut to help reduce any possible scratches, it will make cleanup easier, the best option is a metal cutting bandsaw, but really not worth the several hundred dollars it would cost - this saw would cut 2020 in a few seconds, same with a lead screw - btw, I've been buying ender3 clones for ~$100 on aliexpress, pulling out the electronics and hotend, replacing those, that way you start with a built 2040 frame and servos/belts - thanks for subscribing

      I remove the guard completely both of the two piece. I’m going to make something else. With that guard there I couldn’t see my pieces very well. Everything seems pretty solid. so far on it.
      I plan to build a little like a small table for it, that I could put a stop on it, that I could run my pieces into and get perfect cuts every time

      Harbor Freight's website has 4 manuals you can download, and lists 6 part numbers, not including the current part numbers, so 7 different models, with mix of wrong information, the tool details on website says 6K, 2 of the manuals says 10K, and only the 10K manuals show 5/8 and 7/8 arbor, and only one of the 6K models has an arbor nut - the one in the video has an arbor nut, and has both 5/8 and and 7/8 arbor adapters, so something is listed wrong but the bolt instead of a nut looks like it showed up in the 2019 manual versions - so not sure what is correct - thanks for subscribing?

    • @snapwholeharborfreightreviews
      @snapwholeharborfreightreviews  Рік тому

      it could be used, but I would be concerned about burning the edges showing on the edges on the finished floor - this saw cuts with an abrasive disk, not with a wood cutting blade, if you want to go that route, I would recommend some testing before committing to use it for an entire floor - thanks for subscribing!

Those are cold/dry cut blades, could they be used on this Drill Master 6" given that the RPM is within range? Abrasive cuts leave burrs and heat up the metal piece, cold/dry cut don't and cut faster.
