Nice landings, looked choppy on approach there. Trying to get my first ride in a low wing but weather keeps messing things up. Keep up the videos, they're good!
The school I rent from (Warrior III's) calls for 90 on downwind, is that what you are aiming for? Then 80 after 1700rpms and first notch, 70 on base after 2nd notch, 65 on final? When do you do your last notch. I now hold it until the runway is made due to some of the sketchy full flap go around scenarios I've seen
I’m doing whatever feels right on downwind depending on traffic and winds, then 80, 70-75 then 65. With the flaps, I like full flaps with a little power rather than 2 notches and more gliding. Just the way I was taught through my dad. They do that sort of thing in the UK.
@@ZeroThreeDelta I thought you had asked about what people thought of the head mounted point of view camera and whether you should do more of it but maybe that was my misunderstanding.
Lol, was looking at your speed indicator looking for the 65 knots on approach, but it’s showing 80!! I kinda think, nah, it would not be able to land so fast. “I fly Piper Archer II PA28”. I have the big numbers are knots! You’ve got the big numbers as MPH ;) Very nice landings! BTW - what was the wind that day in Leesburg? Any crosswinds?
“You’re s#!t, you’re useless” … were you channeling LewDix? I thought your landings were fine. We all need to keep proficient. Thanks for sharing. Oh,, I would like to see the POV “on your head” camera again, good to see what you see. 👍🏻
Psh you know what we want to see?? We want to see a land off competition between you and Rachael! Who can land it better? :) Video idea! Each gets 3 attempts.
@@ZeroThreeDelta A future competition video could be fun. You could always handicap yourself by doing the landings from the right side as well:) Oh the joys!
Loved this video, especially the map function and the close up of the gauges.
Thanks! 😁
5:23 Yes! =)
Best thing you've ever done! (quickly checks to see if Rachael is around)
😂
Big fan of the iPad view! Always nice to see the good ol 042 in the skies
Yeah I like the iPad views. Maybe not for everything, but it’s useful.
Nice flying.
Mucho Thanks 😁
Is that a new dash on O42? Nice. Negative on the head cam.
You were at Bob White? Nice! I always feel like I'm landing on a private driveway when I'm there. lol
Very close! Orlando North (FA83).
@@ZeroThreeDelta Right! I always get those two confused when talking about them. Bob White is the grass strip. 🤦🏻 Thanks!
Oh man, I love flying as well. I just had my first flight last night towards my complex endorsement.... pa28r-200 piper arrow. So.. much.. FUN
I love Arrows! Sadly, not many to rent these days since they changed the commercial requirements.
@@ZeroThreeDeltathey use this one as their commercial trainer. I was thinking about it. We shall see

Yeah, as the temps were rising it was getting a little choppy.
It’ll be interesting to hear what you think of a low wing!

Always good to fly with you Gareth! I have to say I am not a great fan of the POV camera unless used in small infill shots (but each to their own) 😎👍
Thanks as always!
Which camera are you referring to?

@@JodelFlyer You’re correct! I did! I completely forgot. Apologies!
How much is the rental rate for the piper? It costs $20 more than the 152 at the school I’m looking at 👀
It’s $140/hr wet inclusive of taxes and fees.
$127.00 wet at KHDC warrior III. $121.00 wet for Warrior.
@@BigKazgarage We have crazy Orlando prices 😩
@@ZeroThreeDelta It's 180 CAD wet /hr
@@ZeroThreeDelta I'd kill for $140 USD ... fly in the UK :O - hire rate for the club Warrior is about $290/hr!

haha floopies. That is what I am calling flaps from now on haha. Thanks bud.
It’d be rude not to! 😂

Any preference on aircraft for the POV?
Yes would like POV camera. Please show it on your head in video.
So what you’re really trying to say is you want me to look like a an idiot, on camera? 😕😂
@@ZeroThreeDelta Not at all, just want to see if you are using the same head mount I have or if you attached it to your headset?
Enjoyed the video. Even if it’s not a Cessna.
Haha thanks 😂

Haha. I’m sure it’ll happen. She’s at work in the week so it’s difficult to fly together regularly.
