Flew a Warrior II in the 90’s building my 50 hour cross-country time toward my instrument rating. Great airplane, newer leather interior, new paint, a dream to fly. Some of my best landings, that low wing in ground effect, we’d glide forever and grease it in.😊
When you get your license enjoy it and never ever forget your training and constantly advance your skills in any way! The first thing I did was I took my brother flying and it was a thrill. Then yesterday for the 1st time in my 13 years of flying I finally flew myself to an airport diner for breakfast! Enjoy it up there and happy flying!
Watching this video was pretty cool….. I got to hear a plane that I fly call into the airport I fly out of. That was unexpected but cool. Hope you enjoyed the flight. I love Cape May airport. Gotta watch for parachute jumpers though.
Yea this airport is definitely one of my favorites, same with the Georgetown airport!! Flying a long the beach or just seeing the water from above is always incredible to me!
That is one decked out Warrior! Question for you - looked like you were flying vfr in an easterly direction, yet you had your altitude at 2700 ft. Didn't you need to be about 1000' higher between 0-179 degrees?
I honestly don't remember the altitude I was flying in this video, I was fluctuating in some spots because of haze but yea odd going est +500ft and even going west +500
Nice landing, almost couldn't tell you were on the ground!
@@Patman408 thank you!

That's one thing I love about the warrior is that the landing is very controlled. The 172 can be a nightmare of you set up your touch down wrong!
Nice touchdown on that landing... smooth.
Thank you!
This is the identical plane I’m doing my flight training in even down to the color. Great video so glad I found your channel.
Is it the same tail number? This plane and the other warrior I flew are now based out of Cheswold, DE and they were terrific to fly!!
I really enjoyed this, about 3 weeks from getting my PPL hopefully. Can't wait to have adventures like this. Thanks!

Below 3000 AGL the VFR altitude rules don’t apply.
@@crookedhooking9819 What's the pattern altitude for Cape May? You entered downwind at 1,400.
@John M. one source says 800 feet another says 1,100. I chose that altitude because of the large pine trees due to a height concern.
@@johnm.3279 there's also a 300+ foot tower at the end of the runway I landed on.
