It is. I have to agree. There is a beautiful little park with the creek running right beside outside my house and the leaves are just starting to turn. It's beautiful.@@cintiapollock2486
I was just there in Athens, Ohio and near Wayne National Forest. I live two hours northwest of Athens. My daughter just moved down to Athens for college. She won a scholarship for her masters in film. She is a cinematographer. My daughter worked with long-time documentary film makers, Julia Reichert and Steven Bognar after she finished her bachelors in film. You may have seen American Factory or The Last Truck: Closing of a GM Plant, or one of Julia's early films, Union Maids or Growing Up Female. Right up your alley. Julia was a huge feminist, defender of the working class, and civil rights activist from the 60s forward. We just lost her in 2022. My daughter also works for Dave Chappelle filming sets at his comedy club in Ohio. Anyhow, Julia passed the torch onto my daughter while on hospice. Big shoes to fill. I am watching you drive along 33 in Ohio and thinking, I was just there multiple times recently. Funny too, I looked for your RV while I drove along 33 just by chance, not realizing you were in transit in near vicinity. Anyhow, as I have mentioned before, I am a 20 year + veteren of trucking. I run between Ohio and Nebraska and north. Live in the truck 25 days a month with Phoebe 12, my dog, and Vincent 10, my cat and Arthur my new cat who is 1 and a half years old. Picked up Arthur in Kansas last year from a pet store window. He was irresistible. I was just trying to get a coffee and new work shoes. Came back to the truck, kitten snuggled onto my bosom. Long time viewer. Love your little facts about places. I enjoy history too and am political junky which is such a drag. I feel your pain. I hear you. I whole-heartedly agree. Safe travels. All best. Heidi
Are u from yellow springs area too? My chiro is next to Daves club..the old fire station...i see steve often when i go to my appt next door. Small world🎉
I had my first Pink Lady in Germany about 15 years ago and have never looked back. They are the perfect apple... crispy, sweet, and tart at the same time. Love them.
I’m from south of Syracuse I am glad to hear you found roads that didn’t have tons of pot holes…we love Macintosh apples for both eating and baking. Have a safe trip. I love watching your videos.
That was fun! You go through some quaint towns that, for sure I would otherwise never see. All the green trees and vegetation as you went through W. Virginia, so pretty. Too bad it's so humid and hot. Thanks for the tour Carolyn! 😊
I've been using a VPN for years now Carolyn, and it gives you some solace, knowing your browsing with much more security. Great seeing you on the road again, and I've never been to the east coast, so it's been great what you've showed us.
Early in the video I was thinking to myself that I wished I had a comprehensive list of the COE campgrounds, and lo and behold, there it is! Thank you so much for that Amazon link!
I love the small towns that still look like the Midwest where I grew up! I look at all of the big old houses and the general stores - all of this is disappearing in so many places because developers just buy them up and tear them down. So glad to see places wehre change is slow!
Fantastic video tonight Carolyn!! I'll be watching it again, LoL!! Love the harmonica in your theme song too. Oh my favorite apple is a SugarBee, they're sweet, crisp with a hint of caramel. Thanks for all your effort, you're still my favorite channel. Cheers! ~M
I remember you playing this full Brick Fields song in another of your videos before, not just in your intro, and I looked it up so I could hear the whole song. I REALLY like it. You picked a good one!!😊
Beautiful trek West Carolyn! Your photography and new camera setup is really much better than before, not that they were bad to begin with. Apples! Yummy. Golden Crisp and Delicious are my favorites. Thanks for taking us along.
Great video. My non-camping friends in Florida where I live don't understand why I head west 3-4 times per year. Yes, it's a long trip, but I enjoy camping in the west so much more. Not only is there plenty of quality free boondocking, the lack of humidity means I can wake up without everything in my van being damp. Looking forward to seeing where you stop next.
Enjoyed another nice video. I live in WV..lived in Morgantown several times Coopers Rock State Park is a beautiful place..great hiking..learned to rapel there too. I live 70 miles southeast from there now in a small quaint town, Elkins, which is the seat of Monongahela National Forest...which I have lived in several times. It is gorgeous here...but this summer worst drought I have ever experienced here..which usually never happens..
If I could go right now, I would probably go to Montana for a quick visit because it’s gonna be cold and then work my way south. Not way south. I’m a mountain gal for sure.
I’m a WV native. We used to picnic at Cooper’s Rock a lot when I was a kid. I still love WV’s natural resources! I enjoy your road trip videos so much. Safe travels!
My guess is you’re going to Land Between the Lakes in Ky. I’m not certain about anywhere else, but the CO E campgrounds here in Georgia are now completely completely run by volunteers
My fav is golden delicious 😋 Happy Autumn 🍁Thanks for letting us tag along on your journey west it's bound to start cooling off we should start seeing some fall colors 🍂We are getting rain in North Texas Hope you have a wonderful day
Heading back out west after visiting what is left of my family in Ohio. Bittersweet. Headed West now and can’t wait to revisit my special spots and see my traveling friends. Favorite apple ; Braeburn
Fuji, not the trendy shiny ones! 😅 And there's a black variety that is absolutely amazing! I can't remember the full name. But, how many apples have black in the name.
Camping on my property in a 4 door sedan for practice, are you ready? When you take out the back seat ít opens options, as I'm saving for a van or a pu. I always had a van in the 70s and 80s to a pickup with a camper in the 90s, a van sounds nice again for my 70s coming up
Fuji - I pretty much eat one every day. Too bad you have to travel in the heat - wouldn’t a northern route through Canada be cooler? We are having nice cool nights and fall weather in NJ, but looks like you are already out west from the background of your lat “As I see it”
Best apple depends upon what I am using it for, but if I could only choose one apple to eat for the rest of my life, it would be Winesap. It's tart, crisp and sweet all at the same time. I'd go for an Arkansas Black or Granny Smith after that. The selections you get in the grocery stores just don't compare to those old-fashioned heirloom varieties!
Enjoyable beginning road trip. Thanks to you and Sadie for the company. Haralson apples definitely my favorite. It's a midwestern species introduced in the 1920's so rarely see them where I'm now located. But still remember the crisp, tart taste. The more tart the better - curl the toes tart plz ;-)
My favorite apples are Fuji and Gala. They are similar and they are both a firm type apple and I love the flavor. That’s a pretty area that you are in. Take care and a safe trip.
Hi Carolyn, I sure enjoyed your 2 days in Kentucky video! Thank you for sharing about Sadi's mysterious illness, your curry dinner creation and your thoughts. You bring so much enjoyment to many people. Wondering if you might visit some of the Native American communities as you travel through Oklahoma? Many interesting stories to be found there about their histories and current lives on the land.
There was a story on NPR about capping off the abandoned wells. Problem is, there are not enough inspectors and not enough money to do very many of them per year. OH, I've almost stayed at Axtel but the pictures don't look too inviting. We stay at the KY state parks for $9 a night with our Sr pass. Laurel Branch and Moutardier are our favorites. We get water sites with no hookups.
I knew I recognized those roads! My daughter got her Masters Degree at Penn State, State College. I drove from CT to visit her when she lived there. Love your out-takes 😊
Hello Carolyn and Sadie. My favorite Apple is the Red Delicious! Must seem really nice to not have your RVs drive shaft carrier bearing growing and screaming at you as you drive! LOL. Safe travels to you two.
These types of road trip-travel videos with uplifting music are my favorite!
Mine too. And the fact she came through PA, my state, made it even better. I live about 4 miles outside of downtown Pittsburgh though.
@@jamierupert7563 oh wow lovely area : ) Fall there is so beautiful in pictures!

Hello from Dayton👋
Are u from yellow springs area too? My chiro is next to Daves club..the old fire station...i see steve often when i go to my appt next door. Small world🎉
I like Dave Chappelle's humour. Your daughter is very lucky and wish her well in her film career!
Hello from PA. 😊
Definitely Honey Crisp.
I Think Sadie is always adorable, but her riding shotgun by mom, catching up on her rest with that little tongue sticking out is just the sweetest 🥰
❤❤❤
I had my first Pink Lady in Germany about 15 years ago and have never looked back. They are the perfect apple... crispy, sweet, and tart at the same time. Love them.
Totally agree! They’re my fav too. Waiting for them to ripen is sooo worth it. I’m a PNW girl.
Pink Lady is hard to beat. I always snag some cortlands too, to bake .. with raisins and maple 🍁 syrup & cinnamon. Mmmm
I’m from south of Syracuse I am glad to hear you found roads that didn’t have tons of pot holes…we love Macintosh apples for both eating and baking. Have a safe trip. I love watching your videos.
Sadie is the happiest, sweetest girl & she's living her best possible life with the most amazing mom. 🥰
Watching your videos always makes me restless lol
Same.
Happy to be back with you and Sadie!
Sadie living her best life with her mum by her side😊😊
I am a viewer that likes it when you talk and do on your videos. Happy Trails
That was fun! You go through some quaint towns that, for sure I would otherwise never see. All the green trees and vegetation as you went through W. Virginia, so pretty. Too bad it's so humid and hot. Thanks for the tour Carolyn! 😊
It is good to see you are back on the road again!
Pink Lady is good for baking. Honey crisp for eating. Does Sadie like apples? My dog loves them.
Pink Lady has been my number 1 forever! Just the right combo of crisp, juicy, tart, and sweet!
I've been using a VPN for years now Carolyn, and it gives you some solace, knowing your browsing with much more security. Great seeing you on the road again, and I've never been to the east coast, so it's been great what you've showed us.
Can u watch tv from other countries on it?

Ooooh, those sound GOOD!
I'm obsessed with sugarbees!
I remember you playing this full Brick Fields song in another of your videos before, not just in your intro, and I looked it up so I could hear the whole song. I REALLY like it. You picked a good one!!😊
Golden Delicious are my fave! I think I would have bought a whole basket that you showed! Thanks for the outtakes and bloopers and set-up videos!
Have lots of fun. Sadie is adorable on her pillow. Sightseeing. Your dog is so lucky.
Carolyn, we need Big Road Signs in Tennessee ☆to Welcome you and Sadie .
Fun to see you in my neck of the woods! Enjoyed seeing the trip going West!😊
Sadie looks so precious with her tongue peaking out 😂😂❤
Nice to see you, hope your vacation was great & relaxing!!! ✌️💞 Nice spots!!!

The Corps of Engineers book really helped my sister and me when we traveled out West. Found some great spots in MS, AR and OK.

And the coldest place around in winter burr.❤😊
@lindayaya59 yes Elkins has had that notoriety of coldest in lower 48 numerous times..just a couple weeks ago too.
Nice seeing Cincy, lived there 56 years and my Cincinnati Red Stockings! I’m a Sarasota Floridian now living there beaches! Great video😊
If I could go right now, I would probably go to Montana for a quick visit because it’s gonna be cold and then work my way south. Not way south. I’m a mountain gal for sure.
My favorite apples are Granny Smith.
Honey Crisp apples are my favorite
Thinking your next destination is Land Between the Lakes! That's an area I want to explore so I look forward to your findings. Thanks for all you do!
Honey crisp, Fuji, and pink lady!

Honey Crip and Macintosh..... We grow 18 different varieties of apples
Carolyn can’t you do curbside pickup @ some of the grocery stores you shop at?
That way you don’t have to worry about leaving Sadie alone in the RV.
Great idea!! Yes carolyn could..im sure she likes to see what they have in produce...but could order ahead and pick up.
Favorite apple is macintosh for sure!! Safe travels carolyn i am headed out for the west coast in mid October.

I look forward to your videos every Sunday! Safe travels.
When you crossed into Ohio I was like, “I know that place!” Traveled through there plenty of times.
Fuji, not the trendy shiny ones! 😅 And there's a black variety that is absolutely amazing! I can't remember the full name. But, how many apples have black in the name.
I love upstate ny. From pine city ny. Awesome content
I am so excited to take a road trip with you and Sadie 😊

My hubby and I love the Cosmic Crisp apples because they are sweet and juicy.

Thank for taking me along with your trip and camping sites.
Very good video makes me homesick. Hopefully, I'm heading down that way soon before it gets to cold!!

Thanks for showing my home state of West Virginia. Live in Texas now and I miss my home every day.
Beautiful drive this week

Be safe on your new journey. Fav apples, Macintosh and Granny smiths.
Thank you! A fun trip!
Yes, I always look for a town park for a rest stop! Shade, walking the dog...

My guess is your next special location will be Ouachita National Forest? Hope so! I’ve been wanting to go there.
I knew I recognized those roads! My daughter got her Masters Degree at Penn State, State College. I drove from CT to visit her when she lived there.
Love your out-takes 😊
Me too. Westward bound MN SD bourder. 14 west is a good route. Okay, you're probably traveling further south. Have a good trip.
I love Empire apples. I've been to that stadium to watch the Bills and Bengals play lol!!
Great video Carolyn and Sadie❤
If you find yourself in Branson let me know as I work at the Ripleys Believe It or Not museum and I can get you a tour. Safe travels
Granny Smith!
