I pray for Sadie to recover. I live in Central Ca and we have always had Valley Fever for years. My boss passed away from it because nobody knew much about it and they didn’t know until after that’s what he had. And my uncle got Valley Fever as well. It’s very common now in both Central and Southern CA
Nice video! Great that Sadie is doing better. Crazy that vets in one place don't know about something from another place in 2024. Curry looks yummy!😋 Mineral salts are good for hot, humid weather. LMNT is all over YT. Sponsor? Ty😊
You know Carolyn. This is probably so weird to comment about but I love to watch u cut up veggies and such. I never ad a mom so never, ever watched anyone cook as a child or a young adult. And then I married at 19. Anyway, I’m fascinated with how u chop things with that knife. You push the knife forward! I’ve never done it that way but it looks so much more efficient! And the way u chop ginger, onions, garlic, peppers, sweet potatoes…..all of it…it’s crazy but I’ve learned so much from how u do those kinda things. I was raised in bars with my dad…..kitchen tours weren’t exactly a part of alcoholic life with Papa. I’m now a 73 year old youngster. It’s really interesting to me, watching you just being real, no big deal, no fuss kinda cooking and yakking at the same time. I know these are such lame comments to text u about, but honestly, I’m finding so much enjoyment just watching and learning, and seeing how well you do YOU.
I didn’t appreciate having a mom that took care of us and kept a clean comfortable home with full meals. I was distracted with hormones then married a chef. Learned to keep knife tip on surface and curl finger tips back.
Your entry was expressed in such beautiful gratitude . I had a mom who was so efficient in kitchen but when I begged to help her she would sprig me off and never would spend time teaching me in kitchen . In my young world I soon quit asking . Whatever I know now in my 72nd year I've taught myself . Thank you for your entry.
So happy to hear that Sadie is doing well. So stressful! I know how much you love each other. She is such a beauty! She is so expressive! 😂 love it so much. Great video!
Fyi you are one of the few UA-camrs that I can watch your videos on my tv. The colour and picture is beautiful and clear. When I watch other UA-camrs videos on my tv, the picture is wobbly and blurry. To be fair I know most use their phones to film, not putting them down at all. I love all my fave UA-camrs not matter what. lol. You are so good at filming and take your job seriously and it really shows in the quality of your work. Thanks so much.
When my kids were younger, I took them there tent camping. We found a remote campsite called Devil's Elbow. Named appropriately because we fought bugs and the heat till around 2 am, when all three of us were bug bitten, exhausted and sweaty. Finally fell asleep. Not asleep long when we heard a horrific blast from what sounded like a fog horn and saw a huge search light aimed at our tent. It was a massive barge with light and horn blaring! We were very remote, minding our own business. It finally left and we got a couple hours of sleep. We only stayed one night. Glad Sadie is getting better. So hard when they get sick.
Wow! Great video again Carolyn!! One of these days I'm need to try curry. Surprisingly I've never had it and yours looked delicious! I'm glad Sadie girl's going much better. I love when you talk to her. I find myself talking to my pups too and it makes me so happy. I'll watch your video again tomorrow. Cheers! ~M
I live just down the road (literally) from Kentucky lake, it IS huge. Lots to explore , we loved canoeing at Sugar Bay. My brother trained in Ft Campbell in 68, I've been there many times. Thank you for your service.
I enjoyed seeing your whole process of stocking up, setting up, cooking up, and loving up Sadie. Fungus is one of the hardest things to treat no matter what type once it invades the body. I was on a 2 to 3 month pill plus a diet of anti fungus foods and hygiene products. I'm glad she's getting better. It has been a long while since I have been on any Live. As winter comes, and my own health treatments settle, I can stop to look outside my immediate surroundings and not have to rest as much. Arkansas has a lot of RV parks, different types up and down the 67/167 hwy through from one end by Texas to Tennessee. Otherwise many backroads where people randomly stopover by a stream or river for a day or two. 🤗❤️👍🏽💯
You buy a back country camping pass for a few days or the year and there is 50 miles of wilderness you can camp any place you choose and a shoreline on either side. No amenities. You are going to popular places.
I love your videos! And I love the things you make to eat. I never knew about that chickpea tofu. I HAVE GOT to try it. Sometimes if I eat too much tofu I get a headache. But I bet this will work for me!! 🤗🤗 I love the photo of that tree with all the roots.
I love how silly Sadie is when rolling on the bed! My dogs act like that when I’m eating popcorn!! Little beggars! 🤪🤪 That campground is beautiful! Happy Camping and Safe Travels!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🐶🐶
A very enjoyable video. I am glad you kept driving around and found that really nice section at Barkley Lake, that was away from the heavy use area. You scored a great spot for sure!😊
My husband recently started dialysis 3x’s a week for 4 1/2 hours each session not to mention an hours drive time. We have a beautiful built out 12 passenger Chevy express van which unfortunately is in the mechanic shop for the past 7 days. He comments all the time that he feels badly because I’m sitting in it waiting the whole time for him. I say to him why are you worried? I’m parked out Back in the shade safely. Because with the price of gas and crazy traffic, not to mention wanting to stay right there in case anything happens to him. I literally have all the comforts of home. I take a lunch. I have a porta potty, fridge, tv, bed, fans, heater, everything. I can get out and stretch my legs or go to the near by stores or do a craft, read. Now he’s finding out that sitting in my daughters tiny Mitsubishi Outlander is torture and I really do have luxury being in the van. 😂Ugh I want my van back soon. Safe travels and love your videos. He’s been horribly Sick these last few years and we built it out because my biggest fear is becoming homeless should anything happen to him. We’ve also had some awesome adventures in it to Florida, NC, Wyoming and Indiana.
I loved LBL... Remote camped away from campgrounds. I didn't see anyone for 9 days but two fishermen who offered me some fish lol Locals say it's a Dogman /Bigfoot hotspot I sleep with all the doors and windows open .. guess he thought I was too crazy to fuck with😂😂😂
I have a moon roof/ sun roof on my car. So I can leave it open at night for some ventilation when I'm sleeping. It's harder for someone to climb on top of my roof. It's safer than windows. I keep my windows closed at night.
@jhemnes1 yes, I live around 35 minutes from there, Hellbent Holler has been there several times, it's a show I watch often. There has been other Bigfoot & Dogman investigators that has been there. I've camped & trail walked there & have took pictures of Bigfoot possibilities of being there. I'd love explore more if I had someone to go with me
I am glad Saddie is feeling better. Love your choice of music. I noticed your headlights are yellowed and cloudy. My car had the same problem. I did the mosquito spray hack, and they now look like brand new. Mosquito repellent with deet. Spray on headlights, wait 5 seconds, and wipe with paper towel.
That was tough hearing about Sadie's illness again 😢. I'm so glad she's been better. I'm with you... eager to get out of the humidity and head west! Meanwhile enjoying your journey 😊
Happy that Sadie is doing better…you are a good doggie momma!! Good gawd girl…you do love your seasonings😂😂. Keep up being so honest and real. Safe journey.
I saw this video on a guy who had high blood sugar even though he didn’t eat carbs. His doctor suggested he had an unidentified infection somewhere. I’m wondering if that was the case with Sadie. I understand what you covered in the video but there’s a lot we just haven’t identified yet. Glad your dog is recovering. By the time the guy got into the dentist, he was oozing pus from a small spot on his jawbone. Crazy.
True what you’re saying about blood sugar being high with infections I’m a nurse we have to monitor diabetics a lot more closer when they have infection. Their bs can go in high 300s when normally not that high
So glad you are on the road again. Boy! I sure enjoy your videos as always Carolyn. You and Sadie are such a good match, she is a doll.. You are so blessed to have her and we are blessed to see her and you. Stay safe and enjoy. Safe travels ❤❤❤ Also you have very nice followers on the comments that love you too
I'm so glad Sadies feeling better! She's so pretty! Love how you talk to her and how she makes you laugh. Your such a good fur baby mom. Your'e Curry looks delicious...Great video as always Carolyn. Love going along with you and Sadie on your adventures ❤❤
Sadie is so sweet and she loves to swim. I was sorry to hear she got so sick. That darn valley fever scares me to death. We spend every winter in Quartsite in the desert. I always worry about Clover. She really doesn’t do much digging, but she does enough sniffing down and holes in the dirt. ❤ safe travels, I am head west also.
As doggie lover, I can tell you that they are the very best companions in life. I am so glad Sadie is well again. I have never been to the USA, so I really enjoy your your channel as it allows me see your country, as you travel from state to state.
Hello. Thank you for visiting my ole Kentucky home! The Homeplace 1850s farm [in Dover TN] is a wonderful place to visit. Visiting west KY/TN spring when the dogwoods bloom most beautiful time of year. I enjoy walking near the lake everyday.
The next time you roll through Kentucky, check out Cave Run Lake in the Daniel Boone National Forest in Morehead. Then travel about 45min away to Natural Bridge State Park and the Red River Gorge. Both areas are right up your alley and will make Land Between the Lakes seem bland.
Nice place. So scary about Sadie. Glad she's better. Glad you mentioned the valley fever. Never heard of it. Our pup got sick once really bad like that, emergency room etc. Overnight on iv antibiotics. The vet said it was from duck feces she had walked through by a lake at a campground. It was terrifying. So glad she's back. You are the best dog momma
I had a dog that a couple of years ago came down with lameness and he just went downhill so fast over the period of a month and couldn’t walk. I took him to the vet right away and they did test him for Valley Fever since I live in Arizona. He was negative and they never did find out what was causing his lameness. He was in so much pain that nothing helped and I had to have him put down. It was awful but so much of what you said about Sadie sounds like what I went through with my dog. They told me it could be cancer as well, but there was never any definite diagnosis. I’m so glad Sadie is getting better.
I almost lost my boy once because he had chewed on walnuts that were on the ground with the skin still on. This was my dachshund, Frankie from 25 years ago. They had begun to mildew, which is highly toxic. It scared me to death! They gave him a bunch of fluids under his skin to slowly disperse and charcoal. He made it! I'm so glad Sadie girl is going to be okay! Brightest Blessings of Healing Love and Light surround you both! 💫♥️💫
Learned something again watching your video. Valley Fever is not something I had heard of. Midwest and southerner so I guess it is not in this area. Good to know about for our dogs. So glad Sadie is bouncing back. Love seeing her bounding in the water to get her toy.
My brother's dog got a strange sickness from eating raw salmon. I don't know if there may be other fish problems, but I noticed some dead fish along your walks. Just thought I'd throw that idea out, covering all the baes for sweet Sadie.❤
When my old dog had health issues I put him on milk thistle to strengthen his liver and it also helps to detoxify and reduction of inflammation in the body. We had incredible results and this maybe something that may help Sadie.
I really enjoy your adventures and everything else like shopping and cooking. I adore Sadie. So happy she is much better. I have 4 dogs so I understand the concern when a baby gets sick! Be safe and much love to you and yours.
What a worry when a beloved animal friend is sick and you don't know why! Never heard of valley fever - I'm in Ottawa Ontario Canada. Maybe it hasn't come this far north. I love that you are vegan - me too, going on 30 years. And there are days when cooking seems like such a chore. I usually cook big pots of soup or stews that feed me for days and of course a big salad, protein smoothie and beet juice are a daily treat. Glad Sadie is back to her old self! Love your videos❤
My family frequently visited relatives in Kentucky; & I have many wonderful memories of my Grandparents who were born there & lived in that area for many years. My great aunt & uncle owned a small group of cabins near Hopkinsville where we stayed on our visits - “Bud Scott’s Motor Court”, & across the road, my Aunt Fannie had a white horse we were allowed to ride! Glad to see Sadie doing better! That had to be tough (& expensive) for you both to go through.
Love watching you cook. My son makes an excellent peanut curry and was watching how you cooked it and freaked out watching you not measure anything 😂 Thats how I cook. He is on the spectrum and everything is exact measurements and timed! It drives me nuts! Glad Sadie girl is feeling better. Peace ✌
I've been to LBL a few times. I'm a nature freak, but I have to say the Planetarium was my favorite part. You can camp anywhere you want on LBL except recreation areas, nature trails, cemeteries, etc. We usually find a place to park off the road and hike to a spot by the lake.
In my state, if there's one snowflake, they will close the campsites. The camping season is over. The skiing season opens. You will get many skiiers and snowboarders in the wilderness at their own risk. Many people go snowshoeing too. You can't see the trails. It's easy to get lost.
OmG . I just found you . I love your videos .. Im in So. Indiana. I l8ve KY Lake .. You are pretty kewl for an old lady camp traveler .. OK that was my one and only slam .. You and Sadie have the life !❤
You need to go to the old home place. It’s a old cabin that you can walk thru. You can see how they live in the 1800. Some time they do demonstrate. Did you get to see the buffalo?
UA-camr, "Lulu's Way" talks about eating healthy and cooking while being in a van. She goes away for up to 4 months at a time. She explains how she cooks meat and veggies on the road. She lost 110 lbs. 10 years ago and has kept it off. She has a printable food plan she talks about. She is headed to Texas today.

I’m so glad you share your travels between the east and west- those are areas many “UA-camrs” miss. But they really are incredibly beautiful 😍

I always enjoy your music. 🥰
I like these kinda videos, over how you budget your money and learning video. More interesting to me is just watching your travels 💕
Just awesome❤😁
Sadie is such a good companion as is my Henry
I just wish we humans were as good as our pets
Take care and loved the video
I really enjoyed this video. Thank you!! You and Sadie are the perfect pair.
Thank you so much!
Nice video. I'm so glad Sadie is ok... poor baby! She loves to swim lol, very cute.
Thank you for the sounds and views of nature.
Gorgeous area. Thanks for sharing it. Have fun- be safe out there.
The only other time I’ve heard of LBTL is in the Cryptid world
And that's all made up. I've camped and lived here a long time. My mother's roots run a couple hundred years deep.
I swear I could smell that curry/soup/stew as you were cooking it! It looked so yummy.
I have Valley Fever and permanent calcium pockets on my lungs. I'm very suseptible to pneumonia. People need to be careful too
So glad precious Sadie is better!
Fyi Kentucky is a very popular state to camp in well past summer season...only december to february are there less campers.
You and Sadie have the life !❤
What a life! Go gurl! Beautiful-video!
You need to go to the old home place. It’s a old cabin that you can walk thru. You can see how they live in the 1800. Some time they do demonstrate. Did you get to see the buffalo?
So glad Sadie is feeling better.
She is headed to Texas today.
i could watch you cook for hours
