@@CGGeek Damn, you're right. Wait so you can't use it after it's not free? like just have the beta files cuz I feel like that would still be better than blender's current VFX workflow
Yeah, I always go to beach and lay on sand with my laptop, when I'm modelling in Blender. How else would anyone do that? Sitting at the desk in their room? Pfff! Nonsense... Also, nice tutorial. Thank you for showing the compositor nodes :)
This is still a bit complicated, especially with the breakdown of HDRI and node setups. I wouldn't say the tutorial is difficult, but for beginners may find this tricky just navigating through what you are explaining
yeah its easy i m a beginner i m making audi r8 with NArf tut and I will try vfx with it or any other model I enjoy modeling and also VFX thanx to u this will be my first VFX thanx a lot for this@@CGGeek
Might be very easy for you, as must be pro but people like us who look forward for Tutorials where we can learn didn't even figure out how he import the video
I'm pretty sure he expects a bit of basic knowledge, why would someone try to learn VFX before being a little familiar with the workspace? I mean importing things is not advanced skills. @@sunainasunaina6476
Probably the most obscur video you've ever produced; I can't imagine any beginner being able to follow this! Still pretty cool presentation of the Asus Laptop!
Dude, it's never going to get any easier than this, so don't complain about it. VFX isn't going to be like, "Oh, I can just do this with a single click and call it a day," no. This is for VFX beginners, not Blender beginners.
I'm still lost and maybe thats just because my brain has a slow processor lol but (I haven't looked yet) do you have a tutorial on Nodes and how to create a node tree? That is the one thing that I just cannot quite fully grasp, I really wish I could take in-person classes on blender asa whole because im more of an in-person learner, watching tutorials and actually retaining any information has always been difficult for me. You are super talented btw.
This was a very good and informative video man, but I do find that sponsorship sort of dishonest, as you make it seem like the laptop would be able to perform just fine and render your video in an outside environment without its power supply. In truth, the laptop's performance (and especially that of the GPU) drops dramatically when the power supply is not connected, and the battery is quickly drained. Those graphs you showed were obviously of when the power supply is connected.
But what is you try to make VFX using a weak laptop like the one that a subscriber sent you in a video cuz not everyone can afford RTX 4090 or something like that.
You can do it with lower performance laptop too, probably a scene like this is easy also on an nVidia 2070. For complex and high demanding VFX you need a studio to control the footage recording’s conditions and the laptop connected to its power, if a laptop is enough. He is just sponsoring here.
Solid tutorial, I'm just having a couple issues - my HDRI isn't appearing in the scene so I can't adjust the rotation and when I tick transparent, my shadow catcher plane doens't dissapear.
"You don't need a fancy computer setup for VFX, and to prove it, we'll be doing it with a $2000 laptop"
HUH 126$ PC 🗿🗿
Well its no fancy tho 😅
average subpar macbook price
just for study ofc
you can find laptops with an rtx 4060 for 800 euros/dollars, if you make it a desktop you can probably get it for like 600 instead.

Haha that laptop ad was so corny gotta love it! Back to school vibes.
Great video as always. Very fancy editing too!
Now we need a third video cuz VFX is even easier with Geo Tracker, literally SO simple
Looks super cool! Unfortunately wont always be free though (just the beta for now)
@@CGGeek Damn, you're right. Wait so you can't use it after it's not free? like just have the beta files cuz I feel like that would still be better than blender's current VFX workflow
I did not understand a single thing , but it's fun to watch .
Masking: „is a simple process“
I‘ve rotoscoped a video for 12 hours strait!
Simple, but time consuming haha
For anybody if the shadown catcher isnt coming you have to be in cycles and render view mode
Nice thanks dude

Thanks for the feedback! I think for anyone getting started in VFX, this is the necessary steps. Hopefully I made them easy enough to understand :)

It's never going to be easy, and it never has been, so don't say this is complicated. This is a easy as it gets.
As a big-eyed dragon creature, I can confirm that this is the easiest VFX tutorial ever.
I was gonna like this comment but it had 69 likes so I can't

"the Easiest VFX Tutorial Ever" ... all you need is many years of experience in 3D and Blender 🤣
Technically it’s very easy if you have a bit of experience in Blender.
i don't even have a year of experience in blender and yet i understand this
just a couple of blender tutorials will make this tutorial a lot easier
Its not an easiest way... Make for beginner A to Z tutorial
