    It would be awesome if they did a whole DLC specializing on specialists! I'd like that and add more diversity to the game. One of my favorite parts of the game is trying to get and find the best combination of specialists!

    Good video again.. You are correct about the quality chocolatier, i tested this extensively.. The traditional method of sugar to chocolate is a lot more space efficient.. But as you said the coffee is a tempting bonus if space is not an issue.

    I highly disagree on using the Jörg van Malching on Gold Mines. Just go to islands in the Old World where you can also stack 2-3 Mines like Coal and/ or Iron with WAY lower basic times and get your gold as a byproduct. With a sweet specialist setup and a power plant (that can be sustained by the Jörg as well) you can get your iron mines to 3s/cycle, providing you with 1 gold ore/18s which is still A LOT better than New World gold production.
    However, your videos are amazing and I've learned SO MUCH from them, thanks a lot @takarazuka ! I guess I even learned about JvM from you, so I am not telling you something new, but maybe this is helpful for someone else :)

      I specifically said that there are much better ways to get gold... I even started that section of the video stating that I know there are much better ways to get gold. But it's still worth mentioning because some people still like to do gold in the new world and there's nothing wrong with it. Not everything has to be 100% efficient.

      @@TakaUA-cam Sorry if I came across harsh, that was not what I intended. And you are also right about not always going for max efficiency, it is first and foremost a game and fun should be the strongest motivation. Keep up your great work man :)

    The guy that gives Advanced Weapons and Steam Motors from Bicycle Factories and Sewing Machine Factories every third (!!) cycle is an absolute giga-chad. Since you need a lot of those two things anyway, Steam Motor production is basically free (saves a TON of brass) and adv. weapons are my favorite export in docklands. Combine this with Dario, who gives Pocket Watches and Gramophones from those two factories as well and changes the input from steel to iron and these two guys take like half your industry chains for engineers/investors away.

    What people who say "Don't do gold in the new world it's so inefficient" seem to forget is like....With the Mining engineer it is literally just free gold, so there is no point to not doing it.

    the specialists for coffee vs sugar is really good, as it reduces buildings as well, you can just make coffee and chocolote with never having to produce the sugar fields and the sugar refinery extra building. skip the entire sugar field / sugar refinery chain i never build those, for rum i use the 100% rum specialist with schnapps and its more then i ever need, also get more chocolate with the bread specialist as well. alot easier then trying to build sugar / refinery into everything else. coffee is a much more demand item then chocolate is in the game, so making more of that is just better for all the needs since it seems never get enough coffee in this game -lol, skip sugar never do that chain even then just buy it from the npc and go refinery skip the fields if you need some to get going earlier on

    Your videos are super helpful! Thank you!
    The Quality Chocolatier has helped me a lot actually, but I think my situation was just made for him. I produce chocolate on another big island than coffee. And in theory in doesnt matter if I use sugar or coffee beans, except I had good items for coffee beans and nothing really for sugar. So I could optimise coffee beans on two islands, on one for coffee and on the other for chocolate while also getting some extra coffee out of it.
    I do understand your argument against it totally and agree in almost all situations. ;)

Also make a guide about dlc. Love your tips video, it helped me a lot

    I like using the coffee beans for the chocolate because I need sugarcane and then on top of that I also need the sugar refinery so I'm saving on work force and really not losing anything in terms of space (coffee vs sugarcane). Yes you can buy it but OCD tells me not to buy stuff unless I absolutely need to. The rest of your information is gold and I totally forgot that the oil rigs count as foundries so now I have to go add some additional stuff to those unions. Woot!

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  2 роки тому

      Well like I said the chocolatier section was going to be a little controversial because some people think it's extremely useful and others find it absolutely not useful. Just depends on your play style and what you do and don't do with your production chains.

      @@TakaUA-cam Agreed. I have the same feelings about the sugar and chocolate as you do with the bicycles. For some reason I feel like I'm wasting sugarcane when I use it for sugar instead of rum. haha.

      there is another way, i always do, when i need chocolate. maybe you can try this one as well. there is an item, that produces chocolate in the bakery in the old world and it really fits the needs in the beginning and later on you can import additional chocolate via dockland. so there is no need to build chocolate in the new world at all.

  • @suxix7312

    Not sure if I totally agree. If you have the guy that gives coffee every 3 cycles it's actually enough coffee to support one island worth of coffee in the new world. Which lets you send more back to the old world. Its a good item to use in the early late game. And even better once you get tractors in the new world. I always end up with alot of extra coffee beans. I just don't produce them on my main island in the new world. Also.change of subject....map seed 6669 is the biggest new world islands with 22 oil on them. So far it's awesome!

    dont understand how coffee will take more space in new world then sugar cane and sugar factory? 1>2??? and free coffee that you gonna use

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  2 роки тому +1

      Without tractors or specialists you would need 2 coffee plantations for 1 chocolate factory. That takes up more space than 1 sugarcane and 1 sugar refinery. Even with tractors... you'll still need more space for the coffee than the sugarcane Also, coffee is generally needed in LARGE amounts for engineers and investors. So you're better off using coffee beans strictly for coffee and nothing else. Again, if you're importing coffee or have the consumption reduced drastically with the many methods available, then you could use the item. But that would be more "later late game" thinking. Early on, it's not worth it.

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  2 роки тому

      Talking about the Bruno/Bicycle thing? That entire setup negates basically 90% of the game mechanics surrounding production management. It's well known enough at this point and I would rather show base game mechanics to actually play the game and not bypass it with something that removes half the challenge.

    Your item pool is too specialised, and as it seems best, it is actually not. For instance you dont understand offspring products as ethanol. That wasteland item should be put on grain farms which has lowest production cycle which can be downed to 5 seconds, and so on. Ram devi is effective on lightbulb factory, not on gramophones, cab assembly lines dont need susannah when you get bruno. You need to put 3 bycycle factories and 3 sewing machines factory and bugg them to 6--8 second per production cycle and you dont need steam motors nor filaments... Gold mines dont beneeded to bring from new world in late game. Take a small island in trelanwey with sevral iron and coal mine and some clay pits. Put geological enginer who give gold from sand queries and clay pits and jorg von malching for mines + angela polyvalent for -20 percent workfofrce and electricity --> build palace depamrtnemt with 4th trade union slot and put printing press. From a puny small island you can get about 20+ gold ore can make 20 gold bars via +200 workforce , get iron bars , coal and wood and 20 glass and bricks. Seraphim papadikas goes with saw mills, if youy have industrialised low tier mod you can build modern sawmill who can be speeded up to 1 second cycle and give one veener for 3 seconds as long as you sell on docklands surpuluses... And so on... This video is good , but not the best .

    • @TakaYouTube
      @TakaYouTube  2 роки тому +2

      Yes and I could spend the next 5 hours going over every single combination of specialists in the game... I chose a few that are quick and easy to get a hold of without having to have the research institute or jump through multiple hoops to try to get some of them. Sorry it doesn't fit your description of perfect but it works for the intended purpose of showing some easy setups A BEGINNER can get a hold of and start doing and learning how items work together. This is not supposed to be a comprehensive guide of all the best items in the game and how to use them... So take the word pasta down a little bit and realize that the video was not on the level that you're thinking it is.
