nice summary of the game. 10:16 --- also worth noting is that there is a certain momentum with orders issued-- it's not possible to change the structure of orders for the entire army on a dime -- commanders have limited ability to decide which orders to change with certainty. Thus, divisions can get stuck with an order for several hours or more. In that regard, Napoleon has more command points to influence and react to the evolution of a battle than Benningsen. Glad the rules v1.5 worked for you as playable and workable. cheers!
@@marchanna Yes, the army commanders have limits to how many divisions for which they can change orders. Yes. The newer rules have corrected many of the issues the were a source of confusion and frustration.
I agree, the components look outstanding, including the counter art. I'm intrigued by the order-and-cube pull system and would love to see this played out. I wonder if Sound of Drums Games has a vendor in the US?
Thanks for the look, Eric. When a new game is delivered and the included printed rules are already obsolete, that’s a deal-breaker for me right there. I took a pass on this game, and don’t regret it.
@@steveoh9285 I totally understand. I know a few people who sold their copy as soon as it arrived. The company really dropped the ball with the initial rules and seeming lack of playtesting. Because I had interviewed the designer and liked his vision, I was more willing to give them some time to correct the situation.
They are doing more battles and working on rules now so perhaps the next release Quatre Bras might be up your ally. They have a kick ass VASSAL module too. Just excellent. That is also getting an update before QB comes out.
That’s how I felt about “A Winter’s Victory.” I never opened it but after watching the comments about the rules mount on ConsimWorld, I thought l’d save myself some aggravation and sold it.
A fantastic video! I've learned so much about the rules and the process of making videos. Thank you so much, Eric!
Thanks, Eric. Very informative and well done!

@@jimastro67 Thanks. Yeah, I am glad I waited for this newest rule set. The others still had many unresolved issues.
Thanks !

@@texigander5 Yup, and that game had sloppy production errata too despite the long gestation period. No thanks!
