Wow what a difference , for me as a viewer it looked so much better with all 4 lights on 👍
Them led lights make so much difference, can I make a suggestion and paint all the window slats white think it will make a big difference and you won't have to take them off , makes life easier
I’ve got the same film on my window and the same type of lights in my workshop and the difference with the lights was amazing! The good thing about them is their flexibility meaning that if you knock them when moving about with bits of wood it doesn’t shatter all over your head. I’ve knocked mine far more times than I care to say and they’re still going strong 💪😎
Hi Matt, the window film, the lighting and you new stand all look great, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia
Wow! the new lights look a lot brighter which is great. I did a similar lighting upgrade and it was a massive upgrade.
The old lights gave some cosiness to the space. Perhaps having both types at the same time? But great changes in any case! ❤
Love the LED lighting - I have similar in my workshop. That’s a nifty idea for hanging your Table saw on the side of the bench. You’ll be relieved you don’t have the Bosch gts19xc - that would be a right gym workout!
Thats the good thing about our workshops. They’re ours to do whatever we like to them.
Lol. Great minds think alike. I've got that film on my windows also. I've got that same table saw, I've got that same table saw stand, and I also have those same lights. 😄
Oh, and don't worry if the film on the glass looks a bit plasticky, it'll improve with time. After about a month my windows were once again glass clear. 👍
OUTSTANDING! Was hoping you would do this.
What bright ideas!
check that film at night, with the lights on inside, the lights look great!
I have a 5 ft light strip like yours in my tiny shed shop lol but atm I’ve rearranged my layout and been looking at the square plate lights you can get. Very low profile and be good for a designated light above the drill press, but I love all your content, good inspiration & tips tricks. 💙👍
Hi, for your information, Kodak scientists determined daylight white to be 5500k as noon midday in Capetown, South Africa. They used this as it was the spot with the least humidity which can effect the reading. The 500k difference for lights is no problem for a daylight setting on a modern camera. Some strip lights can also be set to 3400k which is the colour of an incandescent bulb.
I have a cpl of those lights in my little shed they are great
A point to note, that window film is semi-transparent when it's back-lit on an evening.
Yeah that looks loads better Matt with the LED lights. Much brighter and clearer, looks more professional in your workshop on UA-cam.
Badge, need all 4 on pal, it's much better than it was but still a bit dim
Very illuminating. Good job
I’ve not used a table saw that much but wondered if the increased movement of the table saw through numerous axis now will have any effect on the trueness of the cut over time? Nice idea and watching your workshop vids with interest as I am building my own currently. Thanks for the vids.
Great job Matt. Love the way that you overcome and conquer: windows ✔️, lighting ✔️, tablesaw stand ✔️
Hi Matt. The lights are great I have them in my workshop also switched to allow different combinations. Marking up is so much easier in ‘proper’ light
Never seen the security film before, reflective yes, I have it on my office windows. Extra security definitely a bonus
I have 4 of these lights in my workshop as well they are awesome
Fantastic updates, Matt! 😃
The lights look great! Great choice!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
👍👍👍.Thank you
When the dough scraper appeared it would have been the perfect place to plug your cooking channel! 😂 Not allowing people to see in is also a big security thing too, people are less likely to try and break in if they can’t see what’s behind the glass. Might be an empty shed or might be full of big dogs.
Thanks for sharing your workshop evolution with us Matt, they all seem logical enough, and it's important to remember we all use our spaces differently so it's worth experimenting to find what works best for you ! I will miss your Red Festoon lighting though !
I like the surprise in your voice about the Window being square Matt... im fairly certain we were all pretty sure it was anyway, knowing you had built it lol.
The lighting is far better too, much more even for filming.
It’s an entirely new look! Looks great!
Decent lights are a game changer. Well played :)
Matt your shop has always been neat and organized. I believe this is your 4th shop I’m familiar with and you continue to produce great content.
Four lights on looked better than just the two
Matt, love the improvements and I'll be stealing most of them for my work-shed build! Mounting the light clips on hinges would allow you to flip them down and direct them, giving you even more control over your lighting.
Major difference👍 Way nicer to watch now, love it👏👏
Hi Matt, good idea to fit LED lamps and with individual switches you can adjust the amount of light that you want, so easy to fit and cheep to run. A great workshop project as always a great video Take care
Now, solar panels to charge eco flow :)
A good workshop's always evolving in line with your skills and projects. I do like those lights - I've got LED panels which are not as neat. I'm much older so I find I need a higher light level these days. Got some old clip-on spots for task lighting if needed.
Don't forget if its dark outside and your inside with the lights on, people can see in and you will not be able to see out!
scissor stand could be used as seating, probably not, a few straps would solve that ? drill press corner lighting did not seem bright enough from this camera view.
Great upgrades 😊
Great mods bud!!
Nooice!
I got two of these lights last week for my similar sized workshop. They are nice and bright and cheap too
Looking forward to seeing more upgrades
That's a perfectly timed video Matt as I was looking for some lights to go in my workshop and they look ideal. Off to Amazon I go 😅
Have you considered hi ging the shutters so they open downwards and out of the way?
When it's dull outside and you have the lights on inside, people will be able to see in, not very well like
The key question is can Bill Burglar see through it with a torch
Hey Matt
Can you let us know if someone outside can see in at night if the have a torch or if there is a light on inside?
Just be aware if you are working at night the film has the opposite affect people can see in i used to fit this film for 3m a fair few years ago
