- My shed was a huge mess. This week I take on a few tasks to try and sort it out.

A nice, simple tool rack Matt.
Bit of a critique, you really need to consider placing the axe elsewhere or turning it 90deg because I can see you hitting your head on it sometime soon.
It's crazy how fast a shed fills up with stuff. My dad's got 3 sheds full of stuff as he doesn't like to throw anything away. So I'm currently building him another shed from scrap wood. I'm sure it will fill up faster than I can build it!
I’m sure it will all come in handy one day
That's important work you did there. Nice to have a place for everything and everything in its place.
Thx for sharing keep building Cheers
Thanks Matt, we all need a day like that ( or week ) every once in a while, not perhaps the most exciting but they make every subsequent day easier !
Sorry, but I'm going to echo the concerns over the axe, we don't want a badger hospital visit, take care Matt !
“Life admin tasks” is my new phrase. Inspiring me to take some much needed time to do this myself. Thank you for sharing
Sometimes we need a little sort out
Might want to add a sort of safety catch on the axe, don't want that falling out and hitting you in the foot!
I was think of tripping and head butting it.
Sideways would be ok with a bit of polyprop cord to hold it in place.
Hi Matt, If that shed ever gets slightly damp and the shelving is MDF then it will go soft and mouldy very quickly if you haven't treated it: Speaking from experience 🙂
Good idea Matt.
Tip when using those racks for medium term storage… pallet wrap
There is something very satisfying about watching somebody else tidying up. Excellent job.
Thank you
My only suggestion as an owner of lots of those shelves Matt, swap out that boarding for some 9mm OSB, that stuff gets damp and sags like hell, it’s like cardboard.
Yes, paint/varnish helps ours survive.
Racks are great, I have one for hardwood, they are super easy to get messy but relatively relaxing to tidy up once in a while
I recognise the list of criteria for doing it yourself - absolutely worth buying in sometimes. A bit like not needing to grow and fell your own trees to build a table...
Yes that’s very true. But somehow I would still love to do that
Those massive chunks of wood are crying out for a project Matt. Not sure if your bandsaw could handle the girth but it’s worth a go.
I wish I had the time to sort out my sheds and storage areas. Your shed was pretty tidy compared to mine!
I am loving your videography in this though, the close up shots and the general flow of the video is great.
Thank you very much. I was playing with a new lens

It’s great to see you progress over the past few years, you’re knocking out some great videos these days.
Fantastic videos mate, Keep up the fantastic work
Thank you very much
I was waiting to see if you built the shelve units on the outside to find that you couldn’t get them in.
I had a carpenter mate, who became famous, when his “best mate” dobbed him in to the local paper, because he fenced around his new build house, only to find that he’d forgotten to put his Ute on the outside. 😂
Keep the cheese coming …. nice to have a giggle at the end.
This was more entertaining than England play in the euro!
Great video, well done and thank you
Thank you
Like that tool rack - great idea!
Thank you
Nice sort out , doesn’t take long to get messed up again , making a stand helps mind …well done !
It does get a mess very quickly
👍👍👍 Top job. Thanks Matt
Thank you
Hi Matt, nothing like having a tidy shed, you are lucky having three sheds, best regards from a Kiwi living in Australia, Les
Thank you Les
Great content, tho I do have a question for you, aren’t the racks u put in upside down as shouldn’t it have a gap from floor to first shelf? ❤
They are absolutely upside down lol
Hi Matt, That is a good solution for storage, those racks don't look to bad and a rack to hang your garden tools that is a good idea, the alternative is to build another shed. As always a great video Take care
Thank you. I need to stop building sheds
What a change in cinematography has happende here?
What Tripod/ Software are you using for the camera movement?
I really like it.
The axe, i would add a chain/strap so it can not fall !
A nice tidy up
Thank you
I find that I spend an extraordinary amount of time tidying up my workspace... Now that you have room in your shed, would you mind if I stored some things in there? 😂
Well done for getting on with the task.
I think I will fill the space again in no time
Great video. The camerawork was really cool. I bet you had to move it around a lot!
Thank you. Yes I did but I quite enjoy it
Don’t put heat logs outside! Did that with mine and any moisture and the start swelling and exploding
I see you have invested in a cameraman
I need to sort my garage/workshop too. Are the racks upside down ? Looks like the legs were on top ?
I'm glad you asked....I was thinking the same thing.
There are feet that go on the top and bottom
LOL Your shed looks like my workshop. :D
I’m sure that’s true for most of us
You really shouldn't store paints and glue etc in a unconditioned space for long. It works fine as long as the temperature is above freezing but you should have them in a frost free storage or they will get ruined. Some solvent based oil paints and lacquers that doesn't contain any water will be fine, but anything with water in it will be ruined by frost.
Does the camera track your face?? ❤
Oh if we had the space, time and funds. The things we would still probably not get around to.
My to do list is soo long
@@Badgerworkshop it never ends, but I suppose that's the point. ☺
Tbf my workshop is in worse state then your shed 😂
That axe needs moving, just asking for an accident with the positioning, angle, and loose grip it has in the hole
The axe is dangerous if you back into it it could fall on your spine.
Excellent work, Matt! The place is looking much better! 😃
A little bit of organization really does wonders, doesn't it?
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you. Yes I love a good sort out
Pretty sure you put all those shelves upside down, the feet are supposed to be at the bottom, not at the top lol
If I had the shelves would fall off. Caps go on the top and bottom
Have you employed a camera person?
Your camera seems to have taken on a life of its own... 🤔
It has
Seeing a wood worker use metal shelves creates a hole in my soul. Disappointing
