A nice, simple tool rack Matt.
Bit of a critique, you really need to consider placing the axe elsewhere or turning it 90deg because I can see you hitting your head on it sometime soon.

It's crazy how fast a shed fills up with stuff. My dad's got 3 sheds full of stuff as he doesn't like to throw anything away. So I'm currently building him another shed from scrap wood. I'm sure it will fill up faster than I can build it!

Thanks Matt, we all need a day like that ( or week ) every once in a while, not perhaps the most exciting but they make every subsequent day easier !
Sorry, but I'm going to echo the concerns over the axe, we don't want a badger hospital visit, take care Matt !

Might want to add a sort of safety catch on the axe, don't want that falling out and hitting you in the foot!

I was think of tripping and head butting it.
Sideways would be ok with a bit of polyprop cord to hold it in place.

Hi Matt, If that shed ever gets slightly damp and the shelving is MDF then it will go soft and mouldy very quickly if you haven't treated it: Speaking from experience 🙂

Tip when using those racks for medium term storage… pallet wrap

My only suggestion as an owner of lots of those shelves Matt, swap out that boarding for some 9mm OSB, that stuff gets damp and sags like hell, it’s like cardboard.

Racks are great, I have one for hardwood, they are super easy to get messy but relatively relaxing to tidy up once in a while

I recognise the list of criteria for doing it yourself - absolutely worth buying in sometimes. A bit like not needing to grow and fell your own trees to build a table...

Those massive chunks of wood are crying out for a project Matt. Not sure if your bandsaw could handle the girth but it’s worth a go.

I was waiting to see if you built the shelve units on the outside to find that you couldn’t get them in.
I had a carpenter mate, who became famous, when his “best mate” dobbed him in to the local paper, because he fenced around his new build house, only to find that he’d forgotten to put his Ute on the outside. 😂
Keep the cheese coming …. nice to have a giggle at the end.

Hi Matt, That is a good solution for storage, those racks don't look to bad and a rack to hang your garden tools that is a good idea, the alternative is to build another shed. As always a great video Take care

You really shouldn't store paints and glue etc in a unconditioned space for long. It works fine as long as the temperature is above freezing but you should have them in a frost free storage or they will get ruined. Some solvent based oil paints and lacquers that doesn't contain any water will be fine, but anything with water in it will be ruined by frost.
