    I have a 301 with factory choke shooting the Herters tss, you don’t need anything else!, 50 yd gun for sure!

      When I tested that combo with my 301, it was ok, plenty good enough out to 50, but definitely quite a bit more broad than this pattern

    I have shot that through my Primos Jellyhead 560, and it does quite well. I may change with the significant increase with the Apex I have been shooting.

      They are definitely some great shells that have been very reliable through everything we've tested them in

    Shot this in the Stevens 301, Indian Creek .562 and 90% is in. 10" Circle.

      I've heard a lot of people say good things about the IC .562 recently, so I might have to try and pick one up to test

      @@matttyreeoutdoors It's pretty darn good Matt. In my Stevens, the IC .562 w/ Herters #9 shoot identical to the IC .555 w/ Fed #9. 90%+ in a 10" Circle. And the same point of impact. Those are my 2 Setups for Turkeys.

      The BWC targets have definitely been really bad here recently

    That's pretty good. I've only seen one better. Blue Collar guys did a Indian Creek .562 with Rocky Ridge TSS 9s. 2oz. Devastating.

      These shells through the Blackmaxx .575 gave us an incredible pattern as well

      @@matttyreeoutdoors Thank You. At the beginning of Turkey season a friend gifted me a Stoeger M3020 20. Didn't have time to get it right. So I though the LB 5s would be good enough with the stock Turkey choke. Very disappointing. Wasn't even comfortable at 25 yards shooting a Turkey. Couldn't find LB 6s. You are zeroing in on a good combination here. Got almost a year to get it right. Thank You.

    Would you say the wads are TPS Wads ?

    • @matttyreeoutdoors
      @matttyreeoutdoors  2 місяці тому +1

      No, they are the same thing that Winchester uses in most of their turkey oriented shells. If you have shot any Longbeard 20ga shells, this is the same wad

      I’ve been trying to find 28ga. Wads that are compatible with TSS so I can load my own. But I haven’t been able to find anything.
