    Aimee, please just start off by being "harsh" with Gamma in the future. This video worked so much better than your previous one due to it. I wasn't big on the previous video. It seemed off due to the "softness". This one brought it home though. Let us have it without sugarcoating. We can take it and prefer it. :)

    ''I hate to be so harsh...'' This is the softest that you will get from Gamma, acknowledging to know others dont operate like that. Gamma language is harsh. Thank you for the video Aimee

    The reason why I’m not switching the J vs P dichotomy is actually very simple: I want people to switch over to socionics, and ditch MBTI altogether. But before I get to that level, I can’t start off with mentioning the socionics names because, who the hell comes into personality theory from socionics? It’s usually the other way around.
    For those freaking out about the transition, don’t worry! Remember, your MBTI test result does not mean anything! And if the results do not mean anything, why even consider the results? For example, what’s the point of me saying I’m an INFJ in MBTI, if that doesn’t mean anything at all? So let’s just disregard it altogether.
    If you have no intentions of using MBTI as a self-awareness tool, and it’s more for novelty (and only novelty), then stick with MBTI or 16P. And don’t even bother looking into socionics.
    But for those who have stumbled upon MBTI or 16P, and are more curious about the theory, I’m trying to get those people to consider that 1) your type may be completely wrong and 2) there are other systems out there that do a better job at explaining personality. 😊
    Thank you guys! 🙏🏼

      You're welcome, Aimee !
      Love how you explain Socionics in friendly way. I didn't get confused, and letting my knowledge from both sides co-existing in harmony, rather than being like two football/soccer team in a city derby match.
      I feel thankful to Prof. Kiersey and Dr Linda Berens, for the reason of better understanding and adaptations towards Socionics. Their temperament theory helps me to understand about clubs and quadras in Socionics.
      In Socionics, my type is EII-Ne subtype that in MBTI may stand in the middle of INFP and ENFP. I may appear like ENFP but still an INFP with Fi-Si/Child function attachment and Se trickster.

    I’d add, a good word that sums up Gamma quadra is basically ‘progress’.
    Not in the social and larger scale, such as for Beta types, who will try to enforce change on a more collectivistic sense due to Se+Fe.
    Progress for Gammas will be an individual road that their mind is just naturally geared towards to, strive for paths that can give them an advantage and make them a step higher than they are now, whether intellectually or physically or financially.
    As a LIE (ENTJ) that’s what my mind is positioned towards constantly, even when I’m supposed to relax my mind is constantly working and thinking of what I could do next to improve myself and my position.
    What makes me uncomfortable, is comfort itself, such as not having anything to do, just relaxing all the time and the idea of ‘fun’. I actually feel drained in social collective situations after a while and need time alone to recharge. Which in comparison, ironically, I don’t feel as drained when I’m working for days/weeks/months towards something (although I’ll burnout as I did in the past).
    This is what unvalued Si is like, at the expense of ‘movement’ which is Se, and a constant observal of time at the expense of present sensations of comfort (Ni).

    • @beatofmyown
      @beatofmyown  Рік тому +1

      I wouldn’t quite word it this way. Only because there are a LOT of delta/alpha quadrant types who focus a lot on progress, but it’s usually because their work IS home for them. Work IS comfort for some people.
      EDIT: For some, moving forward IS comfort. Staying still is uncomfortable.

    I accidentally upset a close INTP friend cause we were working on a holiday themed art project (with a clear deadline) and he half assed it the day before the due date. I apologized, but had no choice but to cut his part out of the project. I’m not mad at him, but I’m also not afraid to be an asshole if you’re not carrying your weight 😆🖤

    1:45 is really a good example. I play basketball, and normally, I get along with everyone and crack my jokes. But when we are in a close game, the "act" drops. I become pissy, bossy, and focused on the goal. Last weekend, we were in a close game, and I got subbed out in the last quarter. I immediately got a little bit mad and questioned the decision because I thought it would compromise our chances of winning if you sub me out. Our team is really nice and supportive to each other, I'm one of the few who will get confrontional for a bit if I feel like we're not accomplishing the goal (winning and specifically moving up a division this season) that is set up. So, in these instances, I break the harmony because the will to accomplish the goal overrides the will to keep some sort of comfortable environment. I try to do that normally because I do think that having a nice and supportive environment helps to achieve better results. But that's the thing. I do it for the results, not because I want to have a comfortable environment.

    I'm an ISTJ so I know I'm not in this quadra but I don't get the anti comfort thing. When something needs to be done I just do it. Me or anyone else being uncomfortable about it doesn't change that fact. Work environments also exist to do work not to hangout or something so who cares how comfortable it is as long as you can do your work? So I would really like an explanation.

    • @hirsch4155
      @hirsch4155 Рік тому +5

      Camaraderie can help the work environment , because you not valuing Fe as a Delta, and also the Gamma quadra in this case, you neglect this.
      Camaraderie in effect can create comfort.
      But Deltas are probably better at providing a physically harmonious and thereby comfortable work space.

    • @beatofmyown
      @beatofmyown  Рік тому +10

      I think it’s one of those things where it’s one thing to say we don’t CARE about comfort, but how much we care about comfort will show up inevitably in our actions. So the gamma types not only disregard comfort, their actions SHOW they don’t care.
      People say they are gamma, yet they will also be the first one to call HR on a real gamma quadra manager/coworker for being “toxic.”

      @@beatofmyown so the NTJs are callous and the STJs are merely uncaring? Am I moving in the right direction?

    • @beatofmyown
      @beatofmyown  Рік тому +8

      @@toniyami It’s more like the delta quadrants CAN be forceful, but will always try to find an Ne way for 2 people to exist in the same place. For example, “I can and will fight tyrants, even physically. As a principle, nobody should be allowed to take away that which belongs to others. But preferably, why can’t we just find a way to be at peace with one another without force?” More idealistic, “comfortable.”
      Whereas the gammas are just forceful only BECAUSE they don’t care about or see comfort as a thing to consider. Its not even in their mind. All they literally see is, “object in the way, and no 2 objects can occupy the exact same place, at the same exact time. So I MUST apply some kind of force if I want to move this object at all.” Gammas are very simple.

    • @DesertILI
      @DesertILI Рік тому +4

      I think one of the issues with this is knowing what "comfort" means. One of the things I've learned over the years is that something subjective like that means vastly different things to different types. What I'd call comfortable isn't the same as what other types would call comfortable. This is the major problem with self reporting tests like 16P. People see terms like "comfort", "creative", "organized", etc. and can think of instances where they are so they give a positive response even though they're not compared to other types.

    So true that these types don't go for comfort or provide a comfortable atmosphere! I at once admire it b/c it makes you better at risk-taking and going after goals, but it would sometimes be better if they understood this better and worked to allow others to have that. (You wouldn't say that isn't true for ISFPs? They do seem to seek comfortable pleasure oftentimes. Work might be different like Michael Jackson. Also, I don't know how you feel about me saying this, but I kind of wish you wouldn't use Michael Jackson, given what has been brought out about his pedophilia with young children.
