    As a gamma type I always hatted relating our quradra with the word "work". This is because most people associate work with stability, repetitive action or the 9 to 5 lifestyle. This is more true for the Si ego types within the delta and alpha quradra. Deltas are probably the hardest working types.
    A better word I would use for gamma types is endeavors or enterprisers.

    • @beatofmyown
      @beatofmyown  Рік тому +9

      So true. I was debating in my head how to word this because I know what you’re saying. Although, I do think that “work” in the truest sense IS gamma.
      Because if you really listen to the delta/alpha types, work is usually done only in exchange for more possibilities, such as stability, ambition, status, social harmony, etc. If nothing came from working, they would usually prefer a world where money and work didn’t exist (or something like this. Lol.)
      So maybe with the gammas, there is an emphasis on “work” because they devalue Si, and value Se. They actually value the experience of engaging hands-on with their environment.
      And endeavors sounds right. I did hesitate to say anything along the lines of entrepreneurs for the gammas, only because there are just as many delta entrepreneurs nowadays, especially with the rise of online businesses. Online businesses/remote work is perfect for the delta quadrant.

      @@beatofmyown I kind of get what you're saying, but I also know that LSE and SLI are the hardest, lasting, and more reliable working types than the SEE and ESI. And this is because delta values Si
      The SEE will go through five jobs before the SLI's one. If you ask yourself between the SEE and SLI which type you want running your wearhouse, the best answer will always be the SLI.
      Se is about taking action, physical initiative, and force, but not stability and predictability. The Si qualities are more suited for work than Se. This explains why historically why the Si ego types were better farmers and Se ego types protectors/warriors.

      @@faytwind3913 I see what you’re saying. From my observations, although delta STs ARE more reliable, their reliability is somewhat contingent upon the clarity of structure and future that is set in place for them. If there is no structure or clear future set out for them, they can either end up drowning in the sea of possibilities, or they may invest in more information-gathering to make certain they have the best chances of survival. I think this is one of the reasons that make the deltas an aristocratic Quadra.
      And in these situations, it may be tempting for the gamma type to lay down some harsh judgments. “Just do it.”
      Of course, as you may have hinted at, the irony of the gamma types is that the “just do it” mentality doesn’t necessarily mean there is going to be more QUALITY in what they do.
      I’ve observed that the gamma types are usually the first one to clock out, as soon as the time comes. Or they may close up shop if they met their goal early on, without considering that maybe they should stay open to allow for maximum potential. Not the most reliable Quadra, slightly unpredictable, but maybe better at mobilizing when there IS no template. Enterprisers.

      @@beatofmyown Understandable, but I'll say that most jobs do have structure and set rules that must be followed.
      There probably should be added values to differentiate between the sensors and the intuitives within the quradras. For example the delta NPs should be more associated with "creativity" and the SJs with "dutifulness". With both admiring and drawn to each other's strengths.
      I'm more in favor of getting rid of the word "work" because of how vague it is.

    This is great! Agree with everything. Te & Se is a combo that gives off that no-nonsense "just do it" attitude, while Fi & Ni gives that push to be the best version they can be. It all adds to having that inner sense of FOMO/YOLO while seeking for those flow state experiences. While everyone can experience that, gamma types take that more seriously.

    Reminds me of a conversation I had with a friend. I said to him "I don't care about the journey, only the results." I feel restless without having goals or visible progression. I can't "relax" the way most people do. Being productive is my way of having peace of mind. To me, there really is only the objective, regardless how strenuous it may be. There is a need to "push forward," and it is never satiated.

    My brother and boss are both ISFPs (Fi-S) . One of the things that bug me being an ESTJ is their blatant disregard for Si and Ne. I really don't understand how the Gamma Quadra is able to just assume that they are the pinnacle of research and development. Any information that I provide to either of them is only accepted as long as it fits the precise mold of their predetermined lens of trajectory. My mother is likewise an INTJ (Ni-T) and she is quite a bit better (without blind spot Ne). But the main issue I run into with Gamma's isn't over comfort necessarily (I'm Delta btw) it's about informational relevancy. It always seems like I can't talk about something that interests me solely because it interests me. I do enjoy seeing how pieces of information across time and space link up and how we can construct and remold thought to be more efficient and fun. But there have been many times where I've spoken to my Gamma relatives and they just have an unspoken prerequisite that "Whatever you say to me should be immediately applicable to my situation or help me with my goals, otherwise don't bother". It boggles my mind at how little they actually explore the nebulas realm of their own intuition and instead seem to guard it so carefully. It's like they have this precious red gemstone that could easily be shattered by a gust of wind from a random direction, so they must shield it and reinforce it with physical *concrete* experiences.

Although, I’m not very money hungry but I do like finer things and I was younger I would rather eat less fancy but I will buy expensive stuff because it usually afforded me a sense of being better/being more important than others. I’m an Entj and I like being at the top and being number 1. If I’m not number one, I don’t like anything around me. Also, gamma Quadras are one of the most malicious people out there(just had to be said) with entjs being least malicious type unless you actively sabotage us. Very interesting; looking forward to your videos on beta and delta (as an NFP).
    Yeah, the work issue…..which some of us secretly call the “curse of the necessity to work”. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve questioned (again “in secret”) the whole work ethic, and fantasized about a utopian society where robots do all the boring jobs and provide (thru their labor) enough resources for everyone to get a Universal Basic Income (UBI). Which, in turn, frees everyone from the need to work for survival……frees people to find and focus on their passions; they might spend a lot of time on those passions, but this may often feel more like “play” than “work”, and what these people give back to society will be a product and expression of their innate talents/interests. All the while recognizing that this ideal Star Trek future may never come for mankind or may take another 1000 years….but won’t happen during my lifetime.
    And I (maybe due to Si + Fi) have an aversion to hustle culture, engaging in “the struggle”, gaining a sense of accomplishment thru overcoming, etc. I associate “struggle” with extreme discomfort, and Si prefers feeling snug and cozy; Si seemingly wants to organize its physical environment with the goal (in part) being avoidance of the need to act directly on the physical (Se) in the future . Meanwhile, I see many people who seem to value such things highly. I think “You do ‘you’, as long as you don’t push it on me” and appreciate how such people can advance society thru their determination and drive. But it’s nice to add another layer of appreciation, which comes thru understanding their core motivations (and then attempting to empathize with these, as much as possible within my own limitations). Going beyond the superficial acceptance (“Another social norm”, “a widely held value/perspective”) to deeper understanding.

Especially when you experience stability and comfort, there’s this lackluster feeling that urges you to do something crazy and indulge to it head first even though you intuitively knew there will be a consequence.
    That you are completely aware it’s irrational to do crazy things. But if it’s for the sake of experience. You’d do it everytime regardless of its consequences.

Only Alpha and Beta quadras have Ti and Fe, Gamma and Delta have Te and Fi. Making a disctinction of which position the functions are in is a core trait of this typology system. If you don't make distinction about their positions, you're not talking about socionics or Carl Jung's cognitive functions in general.
      Again, you're confusing whole types with four functions with Ti itself as a function. Ti has nothing to do with emotion. I think you were trying to say that types with Ti can be emotional and that is true but that hasn't got to do with Ti but the placement of feeling functions which are suppressed for Ti ego types. That's where the emotionality is coming from. Ti itself is a mechanical function just like a computer or a calculator processing data.
      I realize you are at the very beginning of this so it will take you at least a couple years to understand how this all works and that's okay. I wasn't trying to be rude even though I cannot explain any of this without coming off that way but to me, truth matters more. There is a lot of misinformation or simply half truths being spread because of not understanding the theory correctly in the first place.
      On the last point, when a Ti ego type makes a completely emotional decision, by definition they are suppressing their own Ti to go against it. It's called function loop or grip function if it's caused by the inferior. What you described sounds like an inferior Fe grip episode which then the Ti would justify as logic. Fi ego types aren't insecure about their feelings, their emotional decisions are well thought out due to Fi being a 3d or 4d function. Thinking is suppressed and weak though. Going back to your example, they might make a completely cold blooded decision caused by repressed Te and Fi would justify it as moral.

      One thing to consider is, are they pleasurable, comfortable sensory experiences? Like traveling, going to nice restaurants, shopping, etc. Because this is more Si. People often get that confused. 😊

      Yes😄 I love things like that. Keeps me grounded. Thanks! You have really giving me a new perspective on Se. I think I use Si then. Enfp maybe. Not a Si first user. Some of my best friends are and maybe my boyfriend. I am not in that league.

    Okay I'm replying after listening for like 30 seconds. But I think gamma talks about money is because we basically think that information, in general, is shared. (Ps. I'm not writing this in a disagreeing tone whatsoever.) Also, I don't personally *identify* with how much money I make. It matters to me but I don't see people as having a social status, really, associated with how much money they have. Therefore for me to talk about money with people is just talking about something external and matter of fact. It's funny how when we do this, thinking information should be shared and that money does not define one's value, other people actually pick up on it as us being invasive or haughty.
    We're just talking about ~life~.

    Pretty Sure I'm a Gamma Quadra Type. ESFP but an SLE, which is an uncommon combination. I think Pablo Picasso was this. Is It "work" that Gamma's are into or their "goals" or "objectives." Gamma's seem to me to be about their desires, their passions - what they want and that can manifest as achievement.

    • @beatofmyown
      @beatofmyown  11 місяців тому

      From my observation, gammas seem to naturally be mobilized and productive. It doesn’t mean anything to them to be this way, which sets them apart from the delta Quadra. So the work that they put in is not for the sake of achievement, duty, passion, or even desire. It’s almost just the way they are. What they know. It’s almost like “How else do you live life?”

    • @mr.j8568
      @mr.j8568 11 місяців тому

      @@beatofmyown That's interesting but I'm not sure if I see things that way. "Gammas are dominated by their individual desires. They know what they want." I'm not in love with work for work's sake. Sure I value efficiency and completion of tasks but I'm very "me" centric, very individualistic - being an 8 enneagram will do that. Now I go back and forth between SLE, SEE and ESI socionics types and subtypes because SLE and SEE are very similar especially when 8 is involved and SEE and ESI are fairly similar as well. Anyway, Gamma Se dom fits me whereas Beta Se dom doesn't really.

    Entj/isfp are way more interested by money than intj/esfp

    • @choonblaze

      I'd group those differently. Basically a Te ego (LIE and ILI) are more interested in money itself than Fi ego (SEE and ESI). ENTj and INTp money, ESFp and ISFj values.

    hmm and what about strong 4D Se in ESTJs? In that case there might be some overlap with esfps which makes me confused..I mean sometimes i have problem to tell estjs apart from esfp because estjs don't fit delta quadra values very much.

      STJs vs SFPs is a common confusion in the current MBTI community. I would say the biggest difference is that STJs are dutiful, and will tend to place work above everything else. SFPs don’t do this. They may hustle, but tend to place themselves above all.

      @@beatofmyown yeah , moreover, they are SJ temperament in are quite traditional...also, kinda robotic and rigid while esfps are very flexible and temperamental.Most estjs are choleric temperament while most esfps ard ssnquines...ESTJs are very reliable; esfps not so much they prefer freedom..Esfps with overdeveloped tertiary Te might look like estjs though.

      @@majavidova4311 Well summarized! 👍🏼 I’ve worked with both SFP and STJ managers, and this seems to be the clear difference to me. SFPs = temperamental, therefore, you never really know what to expect. STJs = non-temperamental, therefore, reliable, consistent, can get kind of stuck in a “let’s get sh*t done” ROUTINE.
