It's one of the rare times I'll actually go out and buy a cd and I'm looking forward to it tomorrow. First time I've bought a physical piece of music since AC/DC's "Power Up" in 2020.
Yeah, as opposed to you guys, I’ve always been a Stones over Beatles guy, and this album has knocked me on my ass. This is not only a five out five stars album, this is a must-own top tier Stones record. It’s on my highest tier, the A+ tier, along with Exile, Sticky Fingers, Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed, Some Girls, and Tattoo You. Currently, I have it has their seventh best record, just ahead of Between the Buttons. “Depending On You” is gorgeous, another all-time ballad from the boys. The strings are tastefully done and really heighten the emotion of the track. “Get Close” with its cool groove and sax solo is reminiscent of Tattoo You cuts that featured great sax playing just as prominently as this one. “Whole Wide World” feels very forward looking as far a rock goes, even though there is a certain 90s britpop sheen to it. “Mess It Up” is definitely a modern disco tune… and they actually pulled it off. Mick Jagger doesn’t sound like you’d expect an 80 year-old man to sound like. He sounds just like he did 40 years ago. The whole band just sounds fresh. You can really tell that they had a lot of fun doing the record. I could go on and on, really. This truly is a great album. Go and listen to it this Friday when it officially drops.
How does "A Bigger Bang" sound uninspired? It ROCKS and their effort is in full effect. It's okay not to like it. But it sure sounds like they were inspired to me.
It's good. A tad to long with filler like Voodoo lounge. Somtimes I think Mick trys to stay relevant to a fault. That's usually the material that sucks. Disco died along time ago.
The reviews usually run like this " best album since EXILE OR SOME GIRLS" and then rip then rip the previous album to shreads . Check out the reviews of Exile when it came out in 72. Anyway I'm a fan and can't wait to get my new Stones album, You can't always get what you want but if you want a new Stones album you'll get what you need this Friday.❤
Mick and Ronnie have already commented on having recordings set to go for a follow up to Hackney Diamonds, including another one that they did with McCartney.

@@Keytone1961 , I think that we can count on both of those things happening. Sweet Sounds Of Heaven is my favorite from this album so far.
