    My 2019 F150 XL just turned 173k miles. Has been serviced regularly since day one. No issues at all. Runs and drives like new. 3.3 v6, 6 speed auto.

    Im over 160k miles on my 2015 2.7l ecoboost. I have had to replace the auto start/stop oil pump on the transmission. Along with a Vapor Purge Valve. And also some TPMS sensors. Also had rear window seal start to leak so just used some autoglass silicone to seal it up better. I have put about 7k miles on it. Its been a good truck for me for what i need. Its had regular maintenance from old owners however I would like to get around to changing the spark plugs and changing the rear diff fluid. Unfortunately my oil pan gasket leaks so the oil pan has drops of oil and when it sits . Will keep up with regular maintenance for now 👍

    Purchased my 2018 raptor in August 2022 with 84k miles. It has a mild lift with 37x13.50x24’s. I think the wheels have a -44 offset which gives the tires about 3 inches outside the fender flares.
    Cam phasers, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs were changed when I bought it through the dealer. They covered the labor and I paid for the parts. I put a JLT oil catch can on as well.
    I changed the upper control arms to the Fabtech uni-ball style.
    I dropped the transmission pan and changed the filter. Added new Mercon ULV fluid to the top of the B range on the little dipstick at full hot temp.
    I drained and filled my rear differential, front differential and transfer case fluid.
    For the diffs, I bought a vacuum air suction from Harbor freight to get the old oil out. I was able to get 95% of it out that way which kept me from having to remove the covers. No leaks and everything is dry and clean underneath my truck.
    Also changed the passenger front CV axle bc the boot had a 1 inch tear in it. I didn’t know how long it rode like that so I just changed the whole thing out to a new one.
    All in all, I have only put 3000 miles on it as it sits with a tad over 87k miles. I’ve done a few engine oil changes as well.
    I keep a record just like you do with all my vehicles.
    Nice truck you have. I love the tires you have on it as well as the carbon fiber accent pieces inside.

      Looks like you have done most of the big jobs to it. Hopefully your don't replacing parts.
      I would 9nly say, if you want the carbon fiber pieces. Try and get them as a set. If not some may look a bit different as far as the pattern and color

    Bought my 2017 F-150 XLT 2.7 with 95,000 on it in July… driven about 3500 miles and no problems so far! My family has been driving for trucks for decades and especially with the newer ones that are 2015. If you take care of them they will last you forever well over 2000 miles.

    Great video. Well you got lucky, sir. I’ve 85K mi on my 2015 F150 Platinum FX4 with the 3.5 and have already replaced: Transmission, rear end, driver exhaust manifold, throttle body, front brake pistons, tie rods, 2 coils and passenger hub assembly. I’m somewhere around $12,000 in repairs on this truck. I have driven it pretty aggressively but have not abused the vehicle. It is mostly stock aside from a few bolt ons like JLT oil separator, Roush CAI, Full Race stainless catless downpipe (which threw CEL and cannot use remote start). Anyway, this will be my last Ford truck lol.

    • @BreakdownswithBrian
      @BreakdownswithBrian  Рік тому +2

      I agree. GM was really close to going to the aluminum body years ago. But pulled out at the last minute. I'm really surprised dodge hasn't done it yet considering their rust buckets.

    • @KrisTheCodeManDude
      @KrisTheCodeManDude Рік тому +1

      Ford designed the Aluminum body in such a way now that if it does get damaged, it is easier to replace the parts. The body shop screw in and bolt in the panels easier now.

    • @BreakdownswithBrian

      So, coming from experience. They weld the aluminum panels together. Had a van hit me about a year ago. It's a $20k welding gun.

    If buying a used truck save your self headaches and money and just buy a toyota tundra. I have tundra 5.7 work truck pulls trailer every day over 400k on it now only thing to ever give me issues is 1 right from wheel bearing and 2 o2 sensors thats it now my 18 f150 3.5 ecoboost with 142k never used to pull a trailer or anything has given me all sorts of issues over the years and will be getting rid of it soon. Tired of dumping money in it

    How do the venom tires work for you?
    Also, does the grinding front he failed iwe cause damage?

    • @BreakdownswithBrian
      @BreakdownswithBrian  2 місяці тому

      The venom tires are good for the price. Little noise, but not bad.
      Mine was grinding off and on for 2-3 days. I haven't had issues with it when I put it in 4 wheel drive.
      It just depends on how long it was going on for.
      I haven't looked at them. But I would assume there would be a little wear and tear thought.

    I just got a 2009 ford f150 XLT super crew and all that fun stuff from my uncle and it’s over 170,000 miles. I don’t think I’ll be able to get a better vehicle for awhile and I was wondering if you think I’ll be okay for a few years. So far I’ve only hade to fix the things that switches the truck into 4wd, I forgot what there call so I will just call them the fwd ballon’s. And it’ll need new transmission fluid but other then that’s that’s about it. I just wanna know if it’s worth putting more money in it or not.
