This is the same solution everyone one is saying.....it's not working. Tried it with the knob in the door, out of the door, with the key at EVERY angle....it's still stick.

Outstanding Guardian Safe & Lock! Thanks for this video. My neighbors had this exact problem and of course me being the technical guru that I am went to UA-cam for the solution. Showed my neighbors the video and it worked like a charm. One little note: Don't try to pull the key out with pliers or any other tools because you can damage the cylinder and the technique won't work as shown in the video and you will really need to call a 24/7 lock smith and pay out your pocket if you live in a house or have a business. In our case we live in a high rise complex and we have maintenance/repair personnel that can stop by in the morning and fix the the lock, however my neighbors issue happened at night and I was leaving my apartment to go to the store and they stopped me for assistance. I was happy to help with the assistance of this video you guys made. Now, if we didn't resolved this issue my neighbors would of broke the key off and contact maintenance in the morning. Saved us time and frustration! I contacted my neighbors in the morning informed them to watch the video in it's entirety and to request maintenance to repair lock to avoid any future issues. Thank you bruddah. my lock was a bit different but the mechanics were the same. Fixed my sticky lock myself with just a phillips screwdriver. Saved me a good $90 calling someone out.
Am from India. Had a key stuck in the door for 2 weeks which did not budge even after a lot of people trying to remove it. When all said the lock needs to be changed, I calmly googled you tube and found your inspiring presentation. I have a lock with a tongue that opens and closes the lock mechanism, and I removed the whole lock from the door and still did not know how to release the key, when suddenly I pulled the tongue a bit and out came the key with a mild pull. Also wanted to know if there is a way to make the tongue tight as its wobbly. But thanks a lot I got people in my home smiling and thanking me. HELP PLEASE! My key is stuck and can only stay horizontal or move slightly to a parallel( that's the best way I can describe it) line and get stuck. I tried this method and I put some oil on it too to see whether it would come out but to no avail. I noticed that your key was stuck horizontally. Is there anything I can do to fix mine, please? Hi appreciate the video! Unfortunately the reason my key is stuck is different I think. It's a new key, when I used it, the door opened but the key won't come out. The cylinder does not move in and out but does twist like you mentioned at 3:00. How can I fix this at home
Do all locks have that silver ring you pushed ?? My key is stuck in the buildings back door to that leads to all the apt....its also our laundry key. Going back down now to see if this works. Ty

Tighten the set screws or if you have a different cylinder, maybe the c clip on back is worn, loose, or bent
