    Thank you for your demonstration. I just got the ION for Christmas. I watched 3 other "how to" videos and yours is absolutely the best video and most informative. You covered all the items and answered all the questions I had. Your video was very precise and your got right to the point without all the fluff that the other people had. You also covered more in-depth information that was not mentioned on other channels. Thank you. I definitely subscribed to your channel.

    Thank you for your video it definitely helps other consumers interested cool items like these however I invested in the Ember coffee Mug and Ember travel mug and hands down they’re both my best of friends lol the travel mug lasts longer then my at home heated mug battery wise and they both run off of the ember app to control but they are very well made and I’ve had my coffee mug now going on 5 years have not replaced a single thing for it my travel heated mug I’ve only had for about a year and it too has been a super star so for any serious hot tea and coffee drinkers Ember is definitely where it’s at! And always remember when purchasing any item (you get what you pay for) 🤔 ok everyone I hope this helps someone on the hunt in the future 😁

    I thought I’d let you know that I bought this mug a month ago after watching this same review. It just came the other day after waiting a month. I ended up giving you a good review, but my first comment was saying that I had bought quite a few different brands of smart coffee mugs but I hadn’t yet found one that would work for very long. You had commented back to me that yours was still working after l think you said a month. That still wasn’t enough time to prove much, but I decided to buy it. I hope yours is still working, but in all honesty mine broke a record. It worked perfectly, but for only one day then it quit. I can start it, and it will begin blinking & show the 135 degree temperature ,then after about 3 seconds shut completely off, nothing lights up and I’ve tried countless times. I came across this video again while searching for a possible reason for the problem, no luck, but I did discover that I’m not the only one who experienced this. Very frustrating.

      It would have been easier to return if I had bought it on Amazon, but at that time they didn’t have it, but it showed up on a google search from JC Penny but I think I can return it. Just guessing , it looks to me like the ground pin is recessed too far into the charging coaster to make contact with the cup ring . It wouldn’t take much but I can’t think of a way to create a ground, if that’s what the problem is ? So close yet so far.

      No, but I’ve had others thru the years that cost more than $15.00. They work fine for most or some people, and even better compared to the days when that type of product didn’t even exist, i’ve spent most of my life with a lukewarm cup of coffee, it’s hard to miss what you never had. But that’s the problem with getting used to something that you really like, you feel deprived when it’s gone. And for someone like me who’s gotten used to their coffee maintaining 130 or 135 degrees, the cup warmers, no matter the price or what the reviews say, they slow down the cooling process but that’s the best you should expect. And for the time being, I’m back to Luke warm coffee until I finally decide to walk from my office to the kitchen microwave at the opposite far end of the house. Oh well, the sufferings of the righteous.

    My husband found this on sale last night for $28 at our local Walmart's clearance section. He picked it up for me since I have a desk job and I have been wanting an Ember, let's hope this is a good dupe. My lid is fine, so as long as I adjust the rubber ring it will sit. I still don't feel its very secure and probably wouldn't use it anyway. I will say... the light is VERY dim but for $28, I'm sure I can look past it.

    I just bought this and I’m so confused. Do you charge the “cosater” alone???? The manual either has a typo or they mean “coaster.” The manual says to not put the mug on it with nothing in it. as it may overheat and burn.” So how does the mug get charged? This is soooooo confusing. The manual leaves something to be desired and of course, I paid full price for it.

    • @JustADad
      @JustADad  2 роки тому +5

      You can put the mug on the coaster and charge it with nothing in it. just make sure you don't turn it on, if you see a temp displayed on the outside then the mug is on.

    Just bought one. Battery only lasted about an hour on a full charge at 145°. Box says "2-3 hours". 😒 If you drink slowly you are out of luck. No way you can use it "all day long" like they say since it takes hours to recharge.

    Why is he timing how long it takes a 167° cup of coffee to cool down on the coaster to the desired temperature ? That’s not the purpose of the coaster, the Coffee can cool down on its own. I’m trying to find a smart coffee mug that doesn’t quit working after less than a month. I’ve tried 6 different brands so far. There all evidently made in China, which is fine if they lasted longer, but no luck yet.
