  • I recently received a Himalayan Salt Block as a gift. I had lots of questions. What does a salt block do? How do you grill on a salt block? I've done the research and I'll show you everything you need to know in this video. Watch as I use my Himalayan salt block for the first time to grill a couple of Ribeye ribeye steaks. At the end of this video you'll know everything you need to know to start grilling on your new salt block.

    Such a brave man. Risking those beautiful ribeye steaks with no salt on them.... they look amazing at the end. I never heard of these salt blocks. Will have to look into them. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work.
    Happy Cooking,

      Hey UB! Well I figured if I didn’t get the salt transfer I could just salt them afterward. But it was really nice man. Very even, mild salt flavor through and through. And not just on the surface! It penetrates the meat really nicely.

    Those steaks look good 😋I never heard of a salt block but now you got me convinced that I need to try one .

      We couldn’t believe how evenly it salted the steaks Ki. And you can totally wam this up in the oven, same process. But you can also use it as a cold serving tray! Put it in the freezer for a couple of hours and serve your cold appetizers on it.

      It’s really cool man. Don’t skip the last step like I did though, lol! Do the 15 minute increments until the baskets are completely underneath the salt block. And use my link when you buy yours, lol!

    Man those look GOODT! Cut those steaks on the bias for a more tender chew. Imma get me a damn BLOCK.

    • @RonOnTheGrill
      @RonOnTheGrill  3 роки тому +1

      Thanks bro! I didn’t intend to go quite that pink but now I see what the medium rare crowd are such fanatics about. That was probably the most tender steak I’ve ever cooked. I just took too big of a bite, lol! But the way the salt block transfers salt to the steak is so cool! It’s so evenly distributed man. Every bite has the same amount of salt, and not just on the outside. I wouldn’t have believed it if I hadn’t done it. Oh and since you gon buy one anyway (because you can warm this thing up in the oven and cook on the stovetop) use my link! 🤣

      @@RonOnTheGrill I sure will! Yeah, once you try it between medium rare to medium well, you damn near can’t eat it any other way

      I wouldn’t have done it before I started grilling man. Learning what all the proper safe internal temps are showed me how much of our foods are just over cooked man.
