Actually pretty much the same population numbers in LDN and NYC
The Trafalgar Square Christmas tree is a Christmas tree donated to the people of Britain by the city of Oslo, Norway each year since 1947. The tree is prominently displayed in Trafalgar Square from the beginning of December until 6 January.
Geoff Lewis thank you thats so interesting
@@ollynathan1024 Indeed. The reason for the donation is to express a token of gratitude for British support to Norway during WW2.
It was lovely to meet you! x
You as well! I always tell people you’re my favorite creator on UA-cam so it was amazing running into you.
Can you please move to London and just spend all your time making videos? I love them so much ❤️
I’ll be waiting for the “Moving to London!!!” vlog coming out soon 😂
For all its many faults there’s no city in the world that compares to London. Paris is more beautiful (only in the central area) Rome more historic and St.Petersburg more breath taking but London is something special, the most diverse and amazing metropolis on earth.
If you go to England again, I would reccomend a visit to the north, specifically Yorkshire. There is a lot more the the country than just London.
Great vlogs, keep up the good work 👍
Stay out of York City, though. Awful place, designed solely to rip-off the buyers. Drunks and druggies, beggars and low-lifes. I lived there long enough to regret it.
@@kasegiyabu5030 York City is a lovely City.... Love walking around the walls we go there often
Shhh..... that is secret. 😉 Next you will be telling everyone about Northumberland 😎
Hi Cody. I've just watched your London videos. Very well filmed and presented. As a Londoner, I'm so happy that you love my city. There is just so much of it and each area has its own character. One thing I would suggest, try to visit in the summer next time. London has a totally different feel and groove in the summer. Make sure you come back. Laterz
The second video was as good as the first. Thanks for being so generous in your assessment of our city.
This is the second of your videos I have watched. I found them both very entertaining, extremely well shot with an incredible choice of music. Thanks ... keep up the good work
I strongly agree about the production quality For a holiday film exceptional.
Blimey I thought the vids were Sponsored BY the GLC (Greater London Council) or TFL (Transport For London). 👍
Whoever edited this vid? has real talent. Music and camera work were superb, well done.
Thanks so much!
You should make a video on how you edit your vlogs
Trafalgar Square is a commemoration to the battle of Trafalgar, when Lord Nelson defeated Napolean in a major naval battle. We built the column in the middle and put a statue of Lord Nelson on the top and those big Lions you saw were made from melting down the captured French ships cannons which fought in the battle and forged into those lions. Pretty cool when you touch them, knowing they were French cannons from the actual battle of Trafalgar!
I live in London in Tower Hamlets but watching your videos makes me want feel like a tourist in London
Beautiful photography even in the darkest time of the year. Thanks for your great videos, which have inspired me to take a day trip from my small provincial outpost.
It is illegal to honk your horn in the UK unless it is to alert others to your presence on the road. Of course not everybody follows that rule but for the most part, they do.
In fairness it's illegal for police to whack their sirens on at 2am but the they still do it!
We also don't press our horns....because they're maybe is a killer in the other vehicle......fact
it mostly happen when driver infront playing with his phone, while green light :D
Frivolous honking Love it People in traffic are sort of resigned to the fact its quicker to walk across London than drive and no amount of honking is gona get you there quicker :)
LOVE YOU ALL GUYS THAT'S MY 3rd VIDEO BUT I LOVED YOUR WAY EXPLORING *LONDON* ♥ THANK YOU
Ps. Your shots are AWESOMLY FANTASTIC
Winter Wonderland 2019 opens tmrw at 4pm... deffo going! Gonna spend many nights there this year... eating, drinking, walking, riding... all inspired by this wonderful vid. Been looking forward to Xmas in London for a year... the lights are up; looking great... WW... C U tmrw 👍🇬🇧
Camera work, editing, music - brilliant - for some reason when I saw the first one, moths ago, the usually ultra dominant Youturd Algo failed to highlight this one - still better late than never eh?? Yo7 are a true talent man, these vids are SOOOO good, do you do this for a living? You should!!!
Thank you I’m so happy that you liked our capital city. Your ability to capture some truly amazing photos of the city the architecture and your partner was moving, heartfelt. Thank you x
You sure captured the atmosphere of London through a tourists eye. Congratulations on the quality of your camera work and editing.
I think it has already been mentioned but as wonderful as London is, you could gain another perspective by visiting the North of England. You will have a completely different experience. Yorkshire, The Lakes, Liverpool and Manchester are very close to each other and would amaze you. Come back soon.
For those of you who think of Charles Manson when you listen to the Beatles song, "Helter Skelter", at 8.16 the tower with a slide wrapped around it is a helter skelter. Maybe the lyrics will have more of a resonance now.
I’m headed to London on Tuesday, my 1st trip to Europe. Thanks for sharing and giving me great ideas about things to see!
A great travel vlog. so well put together and edited. Really attractive video work, great backing music, nice people! A relaxing and very enjoyable watch. A quality of realism that is missing from TV!! Thanks!
Hey Cody yet another great upload of my home City I subbed you mate ! regards from London
I Love London🇬🇧🇬🇧
The Highway Code has a lot of rules about using your car horn. Basically it's not allowed except to warn others that you're there. Not sure that in itself actually stops people, but it is rarely used - mainly to tell people that the traffic lights have changed if someone hasn't noticed.
And in London, usually within 0.5 secs of the lights turning green!
Not sure if you visited but the natural history museum at Christmas is so beautiful and South Kensington in general.
Hi, I just stumbled across your videos. I'm really enjoying watching you discover London. I've lived and worked in or near to London most of my life. It's great to see it through somebody else's eyes.
I'm really impressed with this. Beautifully shot, not too much hyperbole and a lovely section in the middle with some tasteful music! Bloody hell! :)
I got a place for you bro...try kynance cove, Cornwall in early August it has one of the most beautiful crystal clear beaches in the world, rigid landscape, peaceful countryside that absorbs your perception and makes you feel like you've entered a tranquilizing abyss of enlightenment. It also has amazing old buildings and towns (full of history) you guys would love it. Please come and visit it. It would make a hell of a vlog to! best wishes from a British brother :) -Billy
I love the west of England and Cornwall. Such a great place in the summer.
Your love of architecture certainly comes through. So pleased you enjoyed your visit to London.
Thank you for making such nice films about the city I love. I hope you come again and, as others have said, come in the summer. I wouldn't recommend going on the tube during rush hour at that time of year though.
I really like your comparisons with the 2 cities. Love the commentary with the music etc.
Your music selection is brilliant. Nice to watch a travel vlog with people who actually look like they'd be nice to travel with. Amber, I'm looking at you ; )
I just stumbled across these and I was going to write the same thing. The music choice is exemplary. It really brings the whole thing together.
So pleased to see Adrian. Always looks shy.
Love your music and editing
You should check out Liberty of London which is one of our most iconic department stores if you find yourself on Carnaby street again. It is a beautiful building and great for a wonder around even if shopping isn't really your thing. Also I hope you go to Covent Garden in the next clip !
I love Winter Wonderland and as was said it's FREE, you only pay for rides or shows and of course food and drink, so it can be a very cheap thing to visit. I've often gone and not spent a penny, just wander around taking in the atmosphere, then hanging out at the fire pit listening to the band that plays covers of 70's hits, nothing like some old time disco and maybe spend a few pennies on some hot chocolate. Nothing says Xmas in London like Winter Wonderland setting up and Marks and Spencers stocking their turkey and cranberry feast sandwiches lol.
Stunning camera work again. Great job.
Lovely people! Thanks for visiting.
Peoples perceptions are different. Positive comment btw. Just noted you all thought NYC was noisier/busier than London. I lived in the States but never got to NYC. I am used to cities, lived in Cincinnati for 6 years and that was quiet, even compared to my hometown of Burnley here in England. My fiancee is Dutch and comes from a tiny village in the Netherlands. We currently live in Liverpool, which is busy. Really busy. London is crazy assed insanely busy and makes Liverpool look like a village. Took her down for the day in 2017 and she literally froze from fear because of the number of people. Can't help but think you just caught London on a good day. At any given time there's roughly 12-15 million people in London, which blew my little Dutch village girl's mind.
INCREDIBLE CINEMATOGRAPHY, SIR! WOW
Whee can I get this lovely nostalgic Christmas music? Thanks for the lovely trip to London via my iMac.
I did enjoy this video - good photos of Buck House (Buckingham Palace) at night. Pleased to read you enjoyed the ring doughnuts at Winter Wonderland- but not noticed if you sampled the mulled wine?! Look forward to your next video .
The flag was up at the palace, that means the Queen was in residence! ☮️👁👁☮️
I'm afraid you're wrong - the Union Flag was flying, which means she's elsewhere - she's only there when the Royal Standard flag is flying
Keef Thank you for that! I was told that if “a” flag is up, she in da house! Learning things is always good...
@@SonnyGreenwichJr no problem at all - it's a mistake I've heard others make too. She's got a fair few houses around the country that she spends time in, so she's often not at Buckingham Palace (probably far more not there than actually there in fact)
@@kentishmale1969
The Queen tends to spend her week ends at Windsor Castle.
Great experience, hope you come back!
I have to say, you have a great eye....the way you view the city is lovely....I couldn't imagine going during Christmas time. How cold was it?
Why have you stopped making videos??? Your cinematography and editing is on point! Hope you get to come back to my hometown again one day as you love it so much!
A fair portion of those buildings you saw on those cute streets were designed by Christopher Wren.
Fantastic video 👍
Makes me appreciate my hometown of London.
Excellent great photography, 🙏 thankyou
How dare you make me love my country more than I already do. I am disgusted
Much busier in the summer. Another nice video Cody.
Enjoying your channel. Also, your friend seems nice.
Excellent video, charming and informative.
Great eye for detail.
You show London in its glory!
You must have gone to winter wonderland during a midweek early evening ? I've been there the last 3 years on the first Saturday night after they opened and you couldn't move for people it was that packed
Treats: 4:48 Smiling Japanese tourist standing by British Grenadier on his horse; 5:07 British architecture at its finest. 5:17 romantic park view.
We have a tendency to romanticize the place that is "not" home. When I lived in the Midwest and visited NYC twice a year I romanticized Manhattan and hated going home to the rent, bills and my not so bad job. Once I moved to New York it was just the opposite. Now that I can't afford the live there anymore I have gone back to romanticizing NYC through videos like yours '. Just a thought.
Yeah, I get what you're saying, but London is awesome ;)
Its hard to get Scotish mamalade ,Cornish Pasty,Heinz soup,Cadbury's &Mcintosh choclates in the USA
I would say that London's Piccadilly Circus is kinda like New York's Times Square cus they both have billboards
Shame, you missed out the Pelicans in your St James Park bird montage :p (herons too but those are less surprising)
Heh I work within 1 mile radius of all you showed here at James park is next to where I work.
Glad you appreciate it very professional
Really nice to watch
London has more people than New York it is just spread out over a bigger area as London has about twice the surface area of New York, so maybe the central areas are less busy.
Great video mateys.
Quite simply Beautiful. Well done.
You should go outside of London to the country side and vist other UK towns and cities especially Oxford been one of them and Cambridgeshire.
Or somewhere more real like Newcastle instead of southern fantasy land.
@@Oxley016 Nah i wouldn't recommend them going to Newcastle.
@@maverick4220 Well I wouldn't recommend going to Oxford or Cambridge either.
@@Oxley016 lol why not?
@@maverick4220 Indeed.
I've watched many of these London Vlogs, why does no one ever mention who the guy on the column is in Trafalgar Square? (obviously as an Englishman I know)
@Rogan Bryan Yes as I said I know who it is.
love your videos if you think London is romantic u need to come up here to Scotland youl love it here
Glad you enjoyed our little island and London village ;). I don't know if that translates as humour lol
Think we need an Amber fan club!
Glad U enjoyed my Home City. 👍
WW was amazing, expensive but fun!
Try York one day guys. And Yorkshire.
Another excellent vid 🇬🇧🇬🇧
Excellent video work.
Thank you!
Brilliant video
I've lived all over the world and I don't think there's a better city than London. There's a reason it's France's 6th biggest city. It really does have everything.
@TheGooners11 Brexit idiot. One of the reasons London is so great is because it's so diverse.
7:25 Amy Winehouse IS ALIVE!!
Welcome to "blighty"!
Please can u tell me the piece of music u were playing when at hyde park crimbo market😊7.00 mins in!

Notated the Christmas tree donated every year by Norway as thanks for liberating them in the war.
Just a friendly hint, if you don't want drab, do not visit in winter!
The Christmas markets originated in Germany....hence Glühwein..met there they are big
London is best to visite at Christmas or summer
Nice video man
The Christmas markets up north in the UK is way better, all Christmas lights and music and decorated in santa stuff 😁
Looks nice wish I could go👍🙂
The photography is exquisite. Do one on Mexico City.
Beautiful
london is busy, come to the lake district for the quiet
Come to London in the summer you are in winter guys
I think Winter Wonderland is not particularly Christmassy because it is meant to be an all inclusive event for all faiths, not just Christians. A sort of generic "Happy Holidays" equivalent if you will. London is very cosmopolitan and it has to appeal to everyone, so probably doesn't really know what it is and the Germans are known for their Christmas markets however I take your point. Many 'Christmas' markets that are advertised as such aren't really that. It is sometimes more a marketing opportunity for a more ordinary market. I think this has been said on some other vids you have done but Manchester has a brilliant Christmas market every year.
Manchester has one of the best Christmas markets in Europe... Well worth a visit next time.
@@aljack1979I know, I have been a few times to the Christmas market in Manchester and it's fantastic.
Where are these two originally from? like where in the US?
Originally Oklahoma
Great video. Amber is gorgeous!
Superb video
I Love this video so much. Also, really good music.
Mate tell your blonde single mate. she needs to come to the North of England and meet me. So old and so much countryside here. I would love to show here around!
