This message is far more relevant and important than most folks will realize. Distraction rules our world in 2022. Even if you're not Christian, this video has great truths to live by for all. I'm sure the same types of principles exist in most all religions of the world. Following Christ, perhaps above all, means to love and care for others around you... something that seems to be a fleeting theme in our increasingly volatile society. 😞 I hope to be at least a little better than yesterday after having watched this...I hope you choose to strive for the same. 🙂

I have heart to be changed and repentance and good and better works to do too. Try to love yourself and be patient with yourself the same way the Lord does and is. Something I am grateful to feel in my heart and to feel committed to is that I won't quit working and trying to be like Jesus; I won't quit until I too possess His perfect love and have been fully washed in His blood and love! I had always wondered if resurrected beings eat... to eat you have to be hungry, and resurrected beings cannot be hungry because their bodies are not corruptible but the Lord asked his disciples for food... and Jesus ate in front of them, then from this I deduce that a resurrected being can do what he wants, if he wants to eat he eats, and if he does not want to eat he does not eat, Jesus wanted to show his disciples that resurrected beings are the same as mortal humans in the physical sense, I have had several revelations with close dead relatives in this case my mother, my husband and my twin sister who have already been resurrected.... they have appeared to me in dreams and tell me that they have already been resurrected.... they belong to the Church of the Firstborn and have all the ordinances, we know that the morning of the first resurrection is taking place today and will conclude with the second coming of the Lord, my brunette sister has appeared to me twice as a being resurrected in dreams and is seen as a fullness of joy in all his being, we know that just as not everyone is born at the same time and not everyone dies at the same time, not everyone is resurrected at the same time, each person has their time to resurrect, those of the Church of the Firstborn rise with all the ordinances on the morning of the first resurrection, they spend a short time in the world of spirits and repossess their bodies, some will say, well then, who is going to preach to the imprisoned spirits? ? they are preached to by commissioned messengers who still do not have their ordinances completed because there are many who spend years with only baptism and confirmation....once they receive their completed ordinances they are resurrected....I could say more but I don't want to go any further ....
You are telling everyone that the first resurrection ends at the start of the millennium.

But, when I reach out and minister to others, I feel my burden and my spirit being lifted even more than the souls I am trying to lift. It feels like stepping out of dimness into bright, happy Son-light:) Truly His power is amazing.
I feel so much love when I serve others - even if it's service that goes unseen. I know, in those moments, that my Heavenly Father is helping me feel His love when doing acts of kindness for His children. Thank you for this message and reminder.

I'm grateful that you continue to produce these even though they may not be viewed by as many people as they once were.
I am one of the people who continually view these videos, and I need them, and I am thankful that they are still being made. I am sure this is true of many of the others who still view these videos, as well.
Ever since the pandemic has started, I have been staying home from Church, and still continue to stay home even despite the Churches being open again… it hasn't felt like the right moment to start returning to church has come yet.
I guess I am still needed at home, as every Sunday I'm helping my mom, who also has not returned, with something around the house, whether it be making lunch, getting something done to make a dent in the dumpster-fire disaster of a mess the house is in, or helping my mom when she needs it.
In the meantime, I have been regularly watching these videos, letting the Lord put the videos on my homepage when I need it, or on occasion, even guiding me through the ever-shifting maze of UA-cam's algorithm to bring me to the video I need. It has helped immensely to get through these last few years, and I am grateful these videos are still being produced.
Thank you, all you who put work into these Church videos, and all you who run the channel.
We have been going to church a lot this year. I am going to church whenever i can and put everything else on hold for the time being. One of these days we won't get to go to church anymore, so I'm going to take advantage of all I can at this time. Just waiting for the big Whopper plague that will keep everyone home. Food storage is better than having money in the bank. I don't even have to go to town for a week or so if I don't want to. I watch these videos all week long and music. I am grateful for these devotions. I'm glad we're not back in 1800s, thank God for technology and the greatest church leaders chosen by our Lord to lead us in these last days, it is a real miracle that we get to experience all of this now. The Lord will let our leaders know what the next move will be. Thank God for a prophet.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, and your example with us. No pressure, but I think it would be a good idea to make very small goals about going back to church, and be consistent. For example you and your mom could just show up for sacrament meeting for a short time, and see how you feel. If going to additional meetings is too much right now, you can go home, and try to go back to church the next week. You can then decide if you want to go a little longer or not. During the week, when no one's at the church, just go and walk up to the doors really close. Pray for help to be able to go back to church. If you feel up to it meet with your bishop for a few minutes, and tell him how you feel. He will probably be loving and supportive. I've had times in my life when I wasn't attending church, but I felt a great feeling of peace and God's love when I choose to return. I didn't feel like Heavenly Father was disappointed with me for spending so much time away from church, but was instead very happy that I choose to return.

I used to be so distracted by social media and video games that I had no idea what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. Now, I've come to believe that the only way to find out is to allow God to direct my life, and I believe He is directing me toward serving a mission. As I put more focus on God, He helps mold me into a better person, and He can do the same to all that seek Him.
He may also be asking us if we have time for him as we have time for everything else that we do in our lives.
I love my Savior and Lord Jesus Christ more than anyone else! You have to because no one else has or can suffer for our sins and save us, as long as we keep His commandments. Then we will have eternal life

Great lesson.
There is nothing on earth that means anything to me more than going home with Christ.My husband passed on in July and since that day the earthly world has never been the same. I now walk with Christ fully and he is my companion until I am called home. Being a widow has opened my eyes to others around me who are also left to walk alone and we sit alone, even in church as well as other places, but Christ sits with us. I have seen more widows and these past few months then I have over my lifetime and now I think I look for answers through scriptures on spiritual talks to get me through and others through the days until we're all called home to be with the Lord. I've had many tell me that the day my husband died our marriage ended and that because there's no marriage in heaven that is the end. Through scriptures and talks I know this is not true and that though we may not be married per say as on Earth but our spouses and families will be joined with us in heaven along with friends and family to worship the Lord daily as long as we follow and listen until we are in fact called home.

I can testify without a shadow of a doubt that this is absolutely and irrefutably true. For the longest time up until very recently I’ve lived my life constantly focusing on worldly distractions such as video games and the internet. It’s taken me all my life to finally realize what a waste those things can be when we become addicted to them. I’ve noticed how when I reduce those distractions I spend more time exercising, spending time with my family, and most importantly actually taking the time and genuine effort to strengthen my personal relationship with God via scripture study and listening to conference talks. There are golden calves everywhere and it’s up to you whether you chose to worship them or not.

It's hard being 46 years old and leaveing a marriage due to differences in understanding each other. New partners comes along but it's soo hard to manage life without a partner in your life. The pain that you feel is beyond measure. You try to believe and focus on something greater and it's hard when your in pain dealing with the loss of a marriage loveing someone and they didn't believe or have faith in you from the start. Life is about happy fullfillment and not discouragement because your disapointed by disapointments. You stand still and try to make peace with the pain. The quicker you forget about it the faster it goes away. Focus on the Savior and the Master in his presense within you. Trust in the Heavenly Fathers timeing and believe in yourself to make the best choices.
I've heard this one and it was fantastic before and it's still fantastic, I will be trying to get back to church this Sunday for sure I just set up a ride with metro mobility.

Choosing to let go of things that are of the world is very very very hard, but when we do we truly find Christ! Christ is the key to everything! If you are lost or struggling right now, do not give up hope, it will get better. I promise you Christ knows you and will be with you through it all!

I can boldly testify that as we members strive our very best to listing or heed to the councils of our beloved leaders the Savior Jesus Christ has chosen for as as our mortal life in preparing for His coming we will be save. I love these short videos. I add two video links in our ward bulletin each week. I add the "Talk of the week" and select another that I feel impressed to add. As I am making my selection, I pray that at least one person is touched or helped by the message in the video. There have been some weeks, I am sure that if it was just one person who was helped, it was me because it was exactly what I needed that week. The messages are such a blessing. Jesus said, "Ask and you shall receive," which is my own testimony. That is, raised by an atheist, I heard the gospel for the first time at age 17. Shortly thereafter, I walked onto the lawn of a church on night, looked up at the steeple, and prayed my first prayer, "Is there Jesus? I would like to meet Him!" When I met Christ, all heaven filled my soul and it felt like my heart was made out of gold. I have been great friends with Christ ever since.
Conversely, mormons teach that baptism is necessary for salvation. That said, in 45 years, I have not had even one second of doubt that I know the Lord and am bound for heaven - not even for a second. The Apostle Paul wrote, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." Yet, mormons teach, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord and is baptized might be saved." Which is the true gospel? Paul wrote that whoever preaches a different gospel should be accursed. You cannot say that I did not warn you!
Christ died on a Cross so that, just by asking, we can know God. Adding any other condition to being saved is to pollute the pure beauty of the gospel. Jesus Christ is the light of the world

I'm happy for you that you came to learn about Jesus Christ, and his love for you. I do respectfully disagree with what you say about members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and baptism.
Jesus Christ himself taught us that baptism is essential so that we can live with him, and loved ones that choose to accept the ordinance of baptism in heaven forever. After Christ's resurrection he instructed his disciples:
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."
-Matthew 28:19-20
Baptism is symbolic of a spiritual rebirth going into the grave, and coming forth as a new creature, or like being born again like a child that has just been born, and has had the blood and amniotic fluid cleaned of of him or her.
Christ also taught Nicodemus the importance of baptism. Christ was also baptized by John to fulfill all righteousness.
I hope this helps clarify some misunderstanding about why Christians, which includes members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, believe in baptism as being essential to entering into the kingdom of heaven.

Not only are we commanded by Jesus Christ himself that we need baptism to enter into the kingdom of heaven, but also he commanded us to keep his commandments, which includes daily repentance, but also to love our God with all our heart, with all our soul, and with all our mind. And the second greatest one which is to love our neighbors as we should love ourselves.
"If ye love me, keep my commandments."
-John 14:15
Jesus directly says to Simon Peter to "feed his sheep," which means to show love for our spiritual brothers and sisters by choosing to bless their lives. (John 21:15-17)
If we say what we accept Christ with our lips only, but choose not to love him and our neighbor as ourselves, we are being hypocritical, because we are pretending to love him, but are not being faithful to him and his commandments, so therefore our "faith" is fake.

Thank you!! Well said, and it hit the spot!! Social media has it’s place, but we really need the first. If social media gets us together, that’s great!! But too much is too much if we ignore others. Same with other personal activities. Older siblings have their lives, but that’s no excuse to ignore each other. There is time for both.
I know that president Ballard is a true apostle of Jesus Christ, and is a living example of putting God first in his life, as well as showing great love for our spiritual brothers and sisters around the world!

Obviously I WANTED to feel the Holy Spirit this morning 😁 But I have a problem... lately I been praying to more spiritually minded and less carnal. Sometimes I listen to talks and then I get bored and want to listen to "activating" music per say' I want to Fast then I get hungry...I want to read then I get distracted by entertainment...What have you guys done to see constant good results by turning your "worldy" life into a more God centered focused life?(while still making money&living day to day)
