- In His teachings, the Savior compared fruit with things of eternal worth, says Elder Neil L. Andersen. The fruit in Lehi’s dream symbolizes the blessings of the Savior’s Atonement, describing the fruit as “most desirable.”
“No wonder the angel described the fruit as ‘the most joyous to the soul,’” he says. “It truly is!”
Yet even after savoring the precious fruit of the restored gospel, staying true and faithful to the Lord Jesus Christ is still not easily done, Elder Andersen says in his October 2019 general conference address.
“We continue to face distractions and deceptions, confusion and commotion, enticements and temptations that attempt to pull our hearts away from the Savior and the joys and beauties we have experienced in following Him.”
The video includes the personal experiences of two people who tasted the joy of rediscovering their faith after losing their spiritual direction.
“Little things can upend our spiritual balance,” he continues. “Please don’t allow your questions, the insults of others, faithless friends, or unfortunate mistakes and disappointments to turn you away from the sweet, pure, and soul-satisfying blessings that come from the precious fruit of the tree. Keep your eyes and your hearts centered on the Savior Jesus Christ and the eternal joy that comes only through Him.”

This means so much during this time. It breaks my heart thinking of friends and family that have left the church or wavered since the beginning of 2020. Even my testimony has been tried. Challenging times, but I'm encouraged by the spirit and I'm excited at the signs that Christ will soon return.

Beautiful 💛 I believe and have tasted of the fruit of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and I'm grateful for it! This is what has brought me peace, joy, satisfaction, and spirituality.
This message is so important for me to remember, especially with being in but not of the world.
Just to clarify for anyone reading the comments. Questions are welcome, but when we ask in faith expecting to receive (like it says in James 1), then we can receive true answers. But if we ask in doubt, fear, or anger; then we will find what we want at the time: a stumbling block, an excuse to leave.
"Seek and ye shall find" applies just as much to the faithless as the faithful. If we seek to kill our faith, then we shall find abundant excuses of varying degrees of falsehood. But if we earnestly seek true answers, then we shall find the truth. It may take longer longer to find true answers, but we WILL find them.
That's RIGHT.. Where one's heart is, there will their treasure be💰🔎💜

This talk is very important and it is a must that we all hold tight to the rod of iron which is the word of God and the scriptures. We even have family members that will try to pull us away from the rod. Even those who mock the church with confusion in the great spacious building will try to shame us so we will let go of the rod! Don't let go of the Rod of iron!

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL ❤️. One thing that has always helped when I would struggle is I can listen to man or I can listen to God and his leaders. It all comes down to who has your better interest at heart. We know God loves us and will ALWAYS rescue us. Then why would be choose man when they can't offer that same kind of love? I would say dwelling on miracles is a great way to stay the course. I have seen miracles that no man could ever explain and that alone seals my feet on the path. Video well done

Don't ever give up on those you love. When I came back after being away for so long THAT was the thing that bothered me the most....it was the lack of love and welcoming to those of us who have been "lost" for a time. Also the lack of hope for those they love in their family who are not active. Love your family member exactly as if they were fully active in Church. This speaks VOLUMES,and testifies of your love for them and your love for our Savior Jesus Christ. He sees who we can become, not always who we are at the time. We can see it in your eyes, Such love and hope ❤ will help us find our way back. True unconditional love

Absolutely Love and enjoy this. I felt the Spirit when the sister told about how Jesus Christ ask "We thou also go away?" I feel a little sad, like seeing him, asking me this question, I would totally feel bad, and regret that feeling about going away; He says it with so sweetness that I feel my heart melting, and with compassion for him, like "I don't want him to be alone".

I don’t remember ever meeting a Lehi🤔however he seemed like an interesting man, such a shame our paths never crossed😔
Read the Book of Mormon; your path will cross with Lehi's, and a whole bunch others. At the very end of the Book, you might just see Moroni as he buries the Gold Plates, turn to you and say, "Believe, because we did all this for you."
How I wish someone would state the true nature of this White Fruit. I have felt the Holy Ghost very often but this fruit of which Lehi speaks, is the fullness of the Love of God. It fills your whole being with uttermost delight. It surpasses understanding because it cannot be compared to anything. You don't have to wait until you die to feel this but are entitled to partake. Pure thoughts and pure desires are all the Savior asks.
It's stated in The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ.
"To whom shall we go" - In our greatest imagination, we couldn't script a hope greater than what Christ has scripted. What greater view of God could there be than He is our loving Father? What greater destiny could we script than the ability to become like our Heavenly Parents? What greater view of this life could there be than it does not end at death, that our cherished relationships can last beyond the grave? Etc. Etc. Before considering what you know to be true, at least consider at a basic level what you HOPE to be true. What other organization aside from God's kingdom offers this hope? (Can't find it elsewhere) The great news is that what we "hope" is true can become confirmed truth through the power of the Holy Ghost, the fruits of the prophets, and our own experience.
And with the power of the priesthood.

Really the test of this fruit gives your soul calm and peaceful and cold and surrounder to the God and Jesus Christus 🙏
The iron rod represents faith. The fruit represents life with God. The tree represents the love of God.

I believe the video said that the fruit symbolised the blessing from the atonement which would include eternal life.
