I always enjoy your videos mate, some decent fish and some great imagery too. One of the great bonus’s of the Ribble is there is always the chance of big Roach like that. Great video 👍
That was some dawn. Great video. Glad to see you back where you belong on the bank of the beautiful river Ribble. Some mighty fish caught and it didn't rain. Happy days.
Please could you give me a bit of info where to fish at Ribchester on the day ticket stretch I met u a couple of months ago on the river where you are now you was taking a walk and we had a chat. I love the Ribble been fishing it all my life it’s beautiful 👍
Sure mate! Ah yes I remember ye. Hope you are well mate. Day ticket is in the village front. Drive into Ribchester village and park behind the white bull pub. Walk into the spar shop to purchase a day ticket but please remember to bring your rod licence and they won't sell you a day ticket unless seen. Great idea! Wish other clubs had this rule. It is a stones throw to the river but I advice you to park next to the fence just after the school. You may not get a space here as walkers are usually here. You can park in the church carpark also on front facing river. It's a small donation box to park here. You can fish for approx 600 yards of the village front on this side of the river. Other side is pa ticket. There is an island and nice bit of fast choppy water where trout and salmon can be caught. Barbel tend to be caught further downstream. Mid river from dusk onwards. Pointer... the day ticket is 12 midnight to midnight 24 hours. Tight lines and hope to see you on the bank son
This is one of the best river fishing films I have ever seen. I used to watch Go Fishing years ago and they were very good but this filming is amazing and right on our doorstep by the Ribble. Superb variety of fish and huge. Keep them coming👍👌
Thanks David, that is such a nice thing to say. I am so happy that you enjoy these videos. Makes it all worthwhile. I loved the go fishing series, I still watch it on UA-cam. I also love Matt Hayes and mick brown. Thanks for your continued support for my channel pal
@@garywilliamsandmitsy UA-cam is the best way to find out mate. Its helped me. Although I still use apple software and did a training course using udemy
Need to come and have a go never fished the ribble and never really entertained the idea of carp being In there either so that's this year's challenge!
Hi, I'm always happy when I see you fishing, especially when you have such wonderful catches. I follow you, and appreciate your respect for fish fauna, practicing recreational fishing with the release of fish. I want to ask you what thread you use on those rods ? How much is the wire, 0.25 ..., 0.28? That is, generally on that river, which line do you use. Thank you, and continued success. P.S. C&R, with respect Radu...
It’s such a great video I almost feel like I’m there too! I watched an older one you made, your passion for fishing is very admirable! Hopefully I will have my first ever river session on the Ribble next week. Tight lines too mate, may be see you on the bank one day!
I've always wandered how the barbel and chub would do if released onto the lagan. Or the Bann or erne. Obviously it will never happen but wouldn't that be awesome! Carp are now in the shannon system so I bet barbel would flourish there too. Thanks for watching mate
@@PikerBiker .Chub would flourish in The Bann and The Erne for that matter.I keep promising myself to get over an do some Chub n Barbel fishing, but always end up fishing for Tench.
@@destobin4425 winter chub fishing is awesome! You are always in for a shot at a nice chub even in sub zero temperatures. Bread flake on the hook and a few mashed slices. Rod in hand and wallop! A lovely chub. Great sport on light tackle.
What an absolutly stunning location and another great vlog. Iv'e often wondered, do you have to walk through private land off the Salmsbury dual carridge way PNR ? If you could sum up fishing in one image it would be that view of the Ribble. ATB.
Thanks pal. I appreciate your encouragement. The areas I fish are prince Albert ticket on public land at brockholes nature reserve, but I think the area next to dual carriageway is farmland but fishable with the Salmesbury ticket. 6 quid from the garage at tickled trout. I'm going to be doing a detailed fishing guide for the Ribble in the coming months. I will include all free, day ticket and private club areas, parking and species etc. Thanks for watching pal
Hi pal quick question for you. Are both banks from tickled bridge downstream to shawe arms free still. i know round the deeps area it was day ticket. ive fished the ribble for years but theres too much pressure on the samelsbury ticket stretch. looking for some quiet away from the weekend warriors if you know what i mean. cheers
It’s only free on the right hand bank as on the left bank,Samlesbury have it to the stream inlet, then Bowland GFA have it down to opposite mellings wood. Then Southport to river Darwen. Try Ribchester day ticket as this is very quiet most days mate. Only £5 from spar. Worth getting a club ticket mate as free stretch is very busy indeed. That is not just because it is free but particularly good fishing and probably the best fishing to he had mate. Try Prince Albert or RADAC
Thanks Brad! I was just fishing 1 feeder load of mixed pellet every 40 minutes or until I got a bite. The smaller 3mm pellet travel downstream drawing fish up to your hookbait where the larger feeder pellets stay in and around your hookbait area. Deadly method mate.
Light from the moon, it reflects more light from the sun as the surface becomes more apparent as it rises from behind the horizon or an obstruction like a tree line or hill
