Of course we don't see the horror of a chain comealong letting loose or any myriad of other dangers these guys tempt on the job. People are expendable, profits are not I guess.
the first time I used a chainfall was 5 months ago to lift a 500 lb. smoker onto its cart. amazing tool with a work saving ratio of 32:1. so for each lb. of force you pull down on the chain with, the chainfall lifts or lowers 32 lb.
Hi Sir, im from Malaysia. I saw from the video from minute 3.27 to 4.30, you are using wrapping technique for the shell plate to form round shape. May i know from your experience, what is the maximum thickness of shell plate in order to do that rather than rolling.. is 6mm mild steel plate possible to do this technique.
Hi my friend, the thickness of the tanker in this video is about three millimeters and the sheet is stretch (soft alloy). Sheet thickness of 6 mm can also be done with this method, but the diameter of the tanker must be increased .In fact, for larger thicknesses, the diameter of the tanker should be increased .
@@howismade981 oh i see.. may i know what is the minimum diameter for 6mm to use this.. currently our diameter is 2500mm and max 2600mm. Can it be done?
Depends on what pressure the tank needs. This tank looks to be gravity output so no pressure, but if a tank is 2 bar then you are looking at 4mm thick minimum, higher pressure requires 8mm plate but that's around 8 to 10 bar.
Because sand blasting has a high cost and that this tank is for storing cement and rust is not very important. This paint that they applied is also an oil paint and to some extent it prevents rust.
