Used pick the grapes from Arvin to fresno, had to move the ranchers killed the Central valley. By selling the water they were allotted from the Colorado river, then almost training dry the aquifer there are towns literally with no water now thanks the ranchers.

*bronchitis coughing* how about we try and produce food in a more sustainable or resource-efficient way by permaculture or hugelkulture? In hugelkulture you just pile up brown matter(I believe we have plenty from trimmed trees) under a layer of soil and some mulch on top, which can increase the amount of space for growing crops or save water as the brown matter acts as a sponge after a year of watering. You won't have to water anymore, and the soil is fertilized along the way. Permaculture is just a commitment kind of farming, based off of the polyculture system which mimics a forest. Basically a food forest, with a canopy(the tallest plant), some shorter ones that can be a canopy later on, shrubs, ground cover plants, and then maybe some root growers like ginger and carrots. Ah and you can't forget some vining plants- this method also requires mulching like a forest. A chop and drop method if you want, the "waste" from the plants won't leave the place, returning the nutrition back like how fruits in a forest stay there and rot in the ground. Thus either starting another tree or become compost. Don't take this seriously if you think I'm hating or being negative. Just suggesting-maybe a tiny bit of anger but not much. Oh and if you plant trees by permaculture you can have them shade and conserve water. Permaculture helps give biodiversity in and good way if the plants benefit each other. I think tree nuts and some other plants secrete chemicals that kill an opponent plant for the nutrients, and ye. (My grammar is gone btw)
